Our home at The Five Palms house was the perfect post holiday trip that my family needed! We had plenty of room to spread out , the house was very well stocked, and we loved the convenience of the beach and pool right at the house. The pickle ball court was also a huge hit! The house manager and her husband were more than helpful! Hope to go back sometime soon:)

Three generations of our family (10 in all, ages 2 to 82) rented Five Palms Beach House for the week between Christmas and New Years 2019-2020. Five Palms exceeded every expectation we had as a place for our family to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary.  What is not clear from its website is that the home is blessedly alone on its own stretch of beach facing the Atlantic. We had our own surf, our own beach boards and kayaks (provided by the host family), our own ample inside space with the main rooms looking out over the surf. With its “bohio” (palm-covered porch on the sand by the waves, its wooden deck at the side of the house for watching the stars, its gem of a swimming pool on the non-Atlantic edge of the home next to its Pickle Ball court, our clan had a fully-equipped and beautifully maintained isolation that is almost never found in the rest of our crowded lives. Five Palms is not a resort; it is its own private treasure of a place.  You are not renting a commercial vacation beach house, you are sharing someone's well-equipped home. There are a variety of spaces for small group discussions or large group gatherings (a favorite of ours was the breezy screened-in porch overlooking the ocean); the range of activities available at the house kept us coming back from any Island excursion glad just to be “home.”  The support staff led, by Beryl (home keeper) and her husband Julian (outdoor manager), made us feel like we were enjoying an informal Bahamian version of “Downton Abbey.” We happily hired Beryl to prepare four of our six evening meals—and relished not only her dinners but also her leftovers. Note: Beryl cooked to meet the needs of our Celiac-affected family and made no big deal of it; the chicken, pork, stone crab legs, and fresh-caught lobster were delicious AND gluten-free.  Our interactions with the owners were special -- positive, useful, friendly. Good people all. Our family loved every bit of our stay, and hope to return. (To wake up to the sound of surf and shore breezes and to spend the night looking at stars is well worth the hassle of getting through Bahamian airports.) R&C Morgan

We have rented this home 3 times, and it has been amazing every time. We travel with a large group of children and adults. The home is decorated perfectly and stocked with everything needed for a stress free trip. The location is rural, so if you have a group looking for a “party scene” or “night life” this is not the property for them! We like to cook, read on the beach, snorkel and sit by the pool so this home is perfect! We always rent the van so we can go to Governor’s Harbor for the Friday night fish fry, go to the grocery store and do a few day trips to the pink beach and Tippy’s. It is a beautiful and relaxing property.

We went to five palms not really knowing what to expect. We had never been on a "real" vacation before and we were traveling with a 10 month old child. We were absolutely blown away at the piece of paradise that is five palms. The property is so private, and peaceful. The beach is amazing and unlike any other I have ever been to. We never saw another person on the beach the whole time we were there. It was like we were on our own private little island. The house was stocked with absolutely everything you could imagine/want or need. There is no easy way to explain how nice it was to feel like they had literally thought of everything. There were beach toys, pool toys, house toys, kitchen gadgets galore, super comfortable beds, lots of space and just a really great vibe to relax in. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch. As a group it would be where we reconvened after the day to watch the sun go down, enjoy some drinks, listen to the ocean and enjoy the sea breeze. The stars at night are amazing because the island genuinely gives off no light pollution. It was one of the best sky's I've ever seen. All in all, the property was absolutely amazing and exceeded every expectation we had. The staff are SO good at what they do and really great people. Beryl's cooking is the absolute best. It was an incredible trip and we will be back. I don't think this is the kind of place you could only do once, it's genuinely that good.

There really are no words to adequately describe the beauty and seclusion of The Five Palms homes and property. The utter relaxation our entire family felt and the time we were able to focus on each other because of it’s seclusion, is unmatched. The hours of conversation under the beach tiki, the late night swims, the snorkeling, watching the moon rise over the ocean, the daily am conversations with Julian, the delicious Beryl meals - memories we will never forget and I’m just scratching the surface. The house and guest house was the perfect accommodations for our group of 12 adults and 3 children. And if you’re bringing children, they have everything at for them - from high chairs, pack-n-plays, toys, books, coloring station, movies and more. There is a nice sized grocery store about 15 minutes from the house, but hire Beryl to make as many dinners as possible! Delicious and affordable. If you want to fish or snorkel, definitely bring your own gear. The website says there are glass bottom kayaks, but according to the caretaker those are long gone. They do have two that work good, sans the glass bottoms. We will absolutely be back. All of us are in agreement that we have to go back and we have to stay longer. It’s totally worth the day of travel!

What an incredible place! This was my second time visiting Five Palms and the experience just keeps getting better. The house is incredibly well-equipped, clean, and bright with amazing views of the ocean. Indoor spaces are perfect for large groups with lots of inviting hang-out areas to spread out into. There's a place for everyone, whether it's the screened-in porch, playing cards at the table or reading books in the cozy living room. We had a great time outdoors too- snorkeling, spearfishing, sailing, kayaking...The reef outside the house is incredible! We caught fresh fish and lobster for dinner several nights in a row and when we were unsuccessful just went down the road to tarpum bay and bought it from the local fisherman. The house comes fully loaded with all types of swim and snorkel gear- no need to bring a lot of stuff! Had a great experience scuba-diving with Al and Elroy at Ocean Fox and a fantastic lunch at Tippy's - otherwise couldn't tear ourselves away from the house and the beach! I would highly recommend Five Palms to anyone needing a great vacation- every need is anticipated so that all you're left to do is enjoy yourself and your time with friends and family.

I have stayed at Five Palms twice now and am booked for a third next year. This is everything you imagine a tropical vacation being. The house is immaculate. I have rented many houses over the years, and nothing even comes close to this lovely home. We were a party of 12 and had all the room and privacy we needed or wanted. The house comes with everything you need from shampoo to glass bottom kayaks. My friends and I are still on a vacation high and this house is one of the reasons. It is welcoming and cozy, yet spacious. The owners have every detail covered and they are very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. The staff will see to it you get anything you need. Having dinner delivered the night of your arrival and cold beer in the fridge is something I have never seen another homeowner do in all of my years renting vacation homes. You see, these people get it. And that's why I will be back again and again. I just have to stop introducing people to it because I am making competition for myself when trying to book. You will not be disappointed if you rent this home. My kids, as well as the other kids we were with, ask when we are going back. Truly paradise!

After our second family visit, our children and grandchildren all asked, when are we coming back!! And we will! Five Palms Beach House is an extraordinary, special spot! The home itself is everything you could ask for and more. Everything is done to perfection! There was something for everyone. . ages 1 year to 62 years! Beach toys, kayaks, wonderful reading materials, snorkeling gear, DVD's and CD's and the list could continue! The staff is wonderful. . . warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. They soon become part of the family! We would highly recommend this slice of paradise! Enjoy!

we had five couples at five palms. Each couple had their own bedroom so we never felt crowded. The house was absolutly perfect clean,spacious, great beach, wonderful pool. Beryl is the best. A great cook but also fun to talk with and knowledgeble about the area. Everything was great here book now to save your spot.

This is a wonderful home! We all had the most fantastic holiday , as I am sure my sister in law has told you. Each person in our crew had very different needs and expectations , and amazingly all were thrilled! My Dad, in particular , was in need of a really relaxing, stress free holiday after a hard year, and we all wanted him to really enjoy himself. He did , in so many ways , do just that. First, the sheer beauty of the place, the setting, the peace, the changing sky, and seascapes, the warm days and cool nights ...all was tailored to de-stress. The comfort of the place really helped him...the chairs, the beds, the homey but tasteful enviorment. He LOVED Beryl's cooking. He felt calm knowing that Peter and Harry were there to see that all ran smoothly, it really took the pressure off him . The layout of the house was brilliant- it afforded him a way to spend precious time with all of his children and grandchildren , and yet if he was tired or needed quiet, he could so easily find that . Also- he is a real organization freak, so little things like the massive roll of saran wrap in the kitchen or the hundreds of rolls of toilet paper stored in the cupboard brought a twinkle to his eye! I can't tell how much it meant to all our whole family that he was so content, and I must thank you for providing such an amazing setting for his vacation to take place. As for the rest of us...wow! My 14 yr old son and his best friend were over the moon (the swimming, the snorkeling, the Wii, the slushie machine, Beryls chocolate cake) My husband, an artist /photographer just loved the natural beauty of the area and was thrilled to have the Kayak and the hobiecat at his disposal! And we both thought Lighthouse beach was the most magical spot ever.We are also, I am afraid, food snobs ( too many years in New York City) and we found the Beach House and Tippy's to be really first rate , innovative , and just plain delicious! My sister- in- law, her husband and thier two babies were so well provided for..I think, given all of the baby provisions in the house, they were actually able to relax and have fun even with a 2 yr old and an 8 month old in tow! And my stepmother was so happy to be sharing the vacation with all of us as well and adored the house. I have renovated and decorated many homes (a kind of a sideline business) and I really appreciated the design of the house . It felt well built , full of light and just brilliantly laid out for a family gathering!
