Hillcrest Hall Country Inn

Loved how peaceful it was. The ladies were very helpful and accommodating.

It is an old building. Water pressure in the shower was minimal.

Loved the old architecture, beautifully landscaped yard, very clean and homey inside. The free breakfast was wonderful.

I have no complaints about the property but we discovered that there is not much to do or see in Port Hood. Only one restaurant in town. Still…it was nice quiet stopover on our Maritimes trip.

My 83 year old mom was so happy to stay at a place that didn't require her to walk up and down stairs..especially hard to find in the accommodations on our east coast trip. Kudos for an accessible suite in historic lodging.

The breakfast was great, and better than some. The drawback was that there was only one staff person managing all the cooking and replenishing. Apparently that is the norm according to her. There needs to be more staff and better planning when there is a full house (which it sounded like is the norm this time of year). The fruit ran out early on (not enough was prepared the evening before so...) as well as other things replenished slowly or not at all. The lone staff person did her best, but it was too much for her. I am sure the price we paid for the stay had this breakfast factored into it, and the lack of, or slow re-supply was disappointing.
