The house has everything the owners have thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay, it felt like home. The pictures dont do. It justice. It is so modern n clean bright house. Furnished to a really high standard. The location is amazing, the ever changing landscape can be seen from every window. Felt so calming and relaxing.. totally accessible property if you have someone with mobility issues as well. Highly recommend.

Really small problem was the link from the site gave us the wrong lock box number but that was quickly resolved by the host.

Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay away from the hustle and bustle. Think the photos need to be updated as they don’t do the cottage justice. I needed the sanctuary of a secluded location and a base for exploring, the dog needed an enclosed area to run around in and my mum has limited mobility so needed accommodation that suited her too. Rona ticked all the boxes. Being able to access the pebble beach was fantastic, despite it not being easy to walk on. However, be mindful that dogs need to be on leads due to the sheep who are able to roam free. There’s a wooden bench midway down the small slope to the beach, perfect for an early morning coffee or evening wine. I did slip one time when the grass was a but damp so care will be needed in wet weather. The view over to Skye, Harris and Lewis is lovely when sitting on the couches. We were lucky the weather was so good during our visit, it never rained once. We had lunch at the nearly Sands holiday park and were so impressed we went for an evening meal on our last night and a bonus not having to cook. Beds were very comfortable and a surprising amount of pressure from the shower considering how remote the cottage is. Cottage is very warm, we had to turn the heating off as it was so warm. Stayed at a lot of places who provide small hampers on arrival (bread, milk etc). Would be a welcome addition for Rona 😃 Wished we had stayed for a week, 4 nights wasn’t long enough.

Not a single peg to hang washing outside. No recycling bins in the property, just a general waste bin. We are used to separating recycling items but for travellers from other countries having recycling bins inside the property would be beneficial. Got accosted by owner of the property beside the main gate asking what cottage we were staying in as Rassay cottage bin contained mixed waste.
