Location was ok once we figured out the bus routes. Host was very helpful. Price was reasonable for a short stay.

The accommodation did not accurately match the description or the photos. The pool was dilapidated and unusable.

That's not an hotel: no breakfast, no daily room service, no reception, no cleaning service . . .

The location is very good, easy drive to Pointe a Pitre and the Eastern or Western parts of the island. Close, but not really walking distance, to restaurants, grocery stores and bakeries. The care taker, Marc, when asked was very quick to take care of issues. Two very friendly dogs makes great companions for small children. Apartment was spacious, with divided bedrooms, divided kitchen and dining room and living room. While the pool is much smaller than it appears on the picture, it was good enough to cool off on occasions. Wi-Fi was excellent, an absolute must for our two children.

Water distribution is poor in Guadeloupe. On a rotating basis, parts of Guadeloupe will be cut off for receiving water for a period of 24 hours. Since the hotel does not have back-up water tanks, we were without water for at least one third of our one week stay there. If access to water is critical for you, do not stay there. Problem should be mitigated by owners by: advertising the fact and ensuring that, upon arrival, bathtub is filled with water and water is available to flush the toilet. Water cuts are known. We also did not like that no one was there to greet us on arrival, despite clearly indicating our arrival time on two occasions. This is unforgivable especially considering the water situation and other questions guests always have. To have access to our room, we had to ask other guests to call the owner to tell us where the keys to our room was. While apartment is spacious, kitchen needs to be upgraded both in terms of electrical equipment and cooking and baking pans and kitchen utensils and cutleries. Owner should verify gas tank for oven is full prior to guests arrival. It was not in our case and we ran out of gas on the third day. A better satellite/cable program should be purchased so guest have access to more than just the 10 or so all French channels on TV.
