Location, washer and dryer was a plus for us and owner came to open door earlier for us!
Inside it smelled old/mildew.

The apartment is in a wonderful location in the middle of the town. We were lucky enough to see a procession of cows and goats passing through on their way up to the mountains for the summer.

Very convenient and large room. it had a little private courtyard that we enjoyed. it had all the amenities that we needed for the kitchen, etc.

The studio is spacious and is equipped with everything needed. It is located in the city center, but at the same time very quite. The host are very helpful and responsive.

Good location in the middle of the city center, but very calm nonetheless. Apartment was well equipped and clean.
Hans gave us Appenzell tourists cards as we stayed a couple of nights, that was greatly appreciated.
Shutters a bit old, we prefered no using one of them so as not to break it.

Hans met us at the train station and drove us to the apartment, which was a lovely surprise, given it was raining! The apartment is perfect for a short or long stay in appenzell. The bathroom was a little small, and some of the decor is quite dated, but for us, it was absolutely perfect for what we needed, and great value for money! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect location right in the middle of Appenzell. Great quality of the apartment, everything as it should be. Friendly host. It was all I expected and then some. Will come again.
Nitpicking but that's what made it a 9 not 10 for me - hairdryer is really bad, I have longer hair so it took me half hour to dry them, which I'd rather spend on the trail. :)

Hans and his wife are very friendly and helpful. They always tried to help us with our doubts. The apartment is very well equiped if you want to have your meals there. It is very well localized too in Appenzell center but also close walk to the market.

The kitchen was well equiped. The whole place was very clean, the owners were very nice.

Easy to check-in through key in a lockbox. Just outside of the main areas but still walkable anywhere. Fully furnished. Nice terrasse spot for end of afternoon drinks and reading

We absolutely loved our stay here! The small apartment has everything you might need for your stay. The location cannot be beat, as it is right in town, but not noisy. Finally, Hans was extremely helpful for anything we may have needed. I highly recommend this place!
