Otherland Galle

We felt like royalty throughout our entire stay! Everything was absolutely wonderful, from the delicious food to the spacious and inviting rooms. The burger was honestly one of the best I have ever tasted! And the bed was unbelievably comfortable – the pillows were so soft that you just sank right into them and never wanted to get up again. An absolutely amazing stay from start to finish, with a level of luxury, comfort and hospitality that made us feel truly special. Thank you for such a fantastic experience! We would happily have stayed longer and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sri Lanka!

Breakfast deserves a special mention. There were delicious options, and the Wellness Bowl was a highlight. We also appreciated the thoughtful little touches around the property. It is a great option for travellers looking for somewhere with character while visiting Galle Fort.

The rooftop pool was the highlight of our stay. We swam from the afternoon and stayed for sunset over the Galle skyline. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, fresh local fruit and hoppers made to order, and it was worth getting up early for. The bar is a real standout too: the cocktails are creative, beautifully made and among the best we had anywhere in Sri Lanka. Staff were warm and attentive throughout.

One area of improvement for the hotel can be that the hot water in the shower wasn't always properly hot, especially in the mornings. It's a small thing, but worth fixing in an otherwise lovely hotel.

Location and view.

Cleanliness, dirty bed sheets, bathroom, balcony, and the whole room. Some furniture requires maintenance.
