This is a perfect stay for large groups and checks all the boxes. The painted walls are fun and provide all the beach vacation vibes.

What an amazing stay we had here. The house is large enough to accommodate many family members. I loved the all decks facing the ocean. Was able to take walks down the beach each morning. It was even warm enough to go kayaking one day. Will definitely be back.

It was my first trip to Emerald Isle. We wanted something that was a convenient drive while avoiding the crowded boardwalks further south. We picked the house because it seemed kid friendly and the direct beach access was a must. The house was great - very comfortable and supplied everything we needed. Notably, the kitchen really had some decent knives, pans, cutting boards, etc, which is not always the case with beach rentals. Everything about the stay was easy. The owners were communicative and helpful throughout.

We were very happy with this rental. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and then some (except a working can opener). Furniture was comfortable and accommodated all 8 of us. It had games, lots of books, grill, some beach chairs, etc. water pressure in the showers was awesome! It’s a great house for families with children. I would definitely rent this place again!

All my families love this place. Nice view of beach from the living room, open kitchen, plenty of spaces, big master suits and all the bedroom and bathroom are nice size. Private walking toward beaches and the view is hard to beat.BTW, my families specially want me to mention they LOVE the outdoor shower equipped with hot water. Perfect to wash off sands after playing on beach. The only drawback is we found the washer was out of order on our second day. We let the owner know and she is very responsive. Unfortunately the repair man can't come till the 4th day and he has to order some part, thus we weren't able to do any laundry. As an apology, Jen offer to buy pizza/ sub for our last dinner. Another minor thing is when I first entered the house, I found a bit sand on the cover of ottoman, no biggy. I strip the cover and shake it outside. Other than these minor things, the stay is as good as we imaged. Definitely will rent again if we visit Emerald island again.

We stayed for a week with friends and family in the house. It was a beautiful place. The kids loved the experience. The beach was beautiful and not crowded. The owners had great communication, and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

This has been my favorite place to stay on the Crystal Coast so far! Beautiful house, lots of room, close walk to the pool, oceanfront, nice neighborhood... It was perfect for our stay with adults & kids of all ages!

You cannot beat the oceanfront location of this house. The boat inside was perfect for our 1 and 3 year old, and kept them entertained for hours, as did the neighborhood playground which we were pleasantly surprised to find was just a few houses down. There was a plumbing issue at the house that the cleaner had identified before we checked in, but was fixed the next day. Clearly the homeowner is very attentive if you have a problem and doesn't let issues persist hoping the occupant won't notice. The downstairs den ended up being the perfect place to stash our luggage and get the kids dressed after bathtime, so appreciated that extra space off the main living area with doors to hide the clutter. The only things that were sub-par: the staircase is a bit hard to navigate with a shorter step depth than normal, and the california king mattress was much too soft and lumpy, for my preference at least. Bringing our own pillows did help though. Thanks for the memorable beach-front weekend and the dolphin sightings!

A great view from a great house led to a great "Granny Camp Emerald Isle" edition. We hope to be back with more family next time!

What a rare find! My family has been Emerald Isle renters (and beachfront property owners) off and on for over 20 years and we collectively agreed that Jane and Rachel's beach house is our favorite of them all, namely because of the charm, the amenities, and the attention to detail. My 2 young sons felt more than at home thanks to the uniquely painted walls in each room, the boat reading nook (their favorite!), the close proximity to the beach, the nearby playground just around the corner, the basement we turned into a playroom, and the wide open concept living spaces in which to run around. Many thanks to the past renters (and Rachel and Jane) for leaving beach toys aplenty, the pack n play, and the high chair for us to enjoy! My wife loved making her yearly homemade pasta, a Thanksgiving tradition, on the spacious countertops, and I loved watching sunrises and sunsets with near 180 degree beach views on the decks. And we all were happily surprised to see deer, dolphins, and pelicans on a daily basis. We loved being so close to grocery stores and yet "off the beaten path" in a quiet neighborhood. As a note to past reviews, the additions of Rokus on the TVs definitely were appreciated and the washer/dryer worked beautifully. Also, the floors were recently redone and are gorgeous. Overall, a very relaxing stay and we can't wait to come back again very soon!

We had a fantastic time on our beach vacation and loved the house. It was perfect for our family to be right on the beach and your place really felt like "home". Everything you state about your property is very true. The location, amenities and extremely clean and comfortable. We had a fantastic time on our beach vacation and loved the house. It was perfect for our family to be right on the beach and your place really felt like "home". Everything you state about your property is very true. The location, amenities and extremely clean and comfortable. This house is in a beautiful location with literally a 1 minute walk to a swimming pool. At any other houses we have stayed at the beds have been extremely uncomfortable. Not here! The beds were VERY comfortable! Location is perfect. Grocery store is a five minute drive as well as a coffee shop, a very clean nail salon and a few little shops. My reasons for the four star review is that when we checked into the house and went to use the master bed restroom it was very apparent that the toilet had not been cleaned(which really is on the cleaning service not the property owner). There are televisions in the room with the king bed, the master bedroom, living room and game room. During our stay the only room that had cable/channels was the living room which is hard to enjoy a movie or tv show in because it’s right in the living room/kitchen area, so if you have more than 4 or 5 people with you that area is too busy to be able to hear the tv anyway. The property owner was very responsive about our concerns however it would have been nice to be able to enjoy a movie or tv show before bed while relaxing. The washing machine works fine but is old and takes a very long time to complete a cycle. The dryer is also very old. We had medium sized loads and it took two 70 minute cycles to dry one load. When we have rented other houses there are usually beach chairs and boogie boards that you can use during your stay which would have been nice to have here. We had 5 kids that did not have boogie boards and we ended up spending over $200 for boogie boards that will probably only be used during vacation every other year. Our Stay was pleasant overall and like I said the beds were very comfortable and the house was very clean when we got there aside from the one toilet. If you have the time it’s worth taking the ferry to Shackleford Island to see the wild horses and the beach is absolutely beautiful and the water is so blue! Overall was a nice stay but we probably won’t be renting on any future vacations.

Great property. Well kept. We had kids ranging from 1-12 years old and everyone had a great time. Easy private walk to the beach AND a pool that was very easy to walking distance. Lots a great places to eat as well.
