We had a wonderful stay, felt welcome and warmly looked after by Anne at all times. The house is in a quiet location, so we were able to relax very well. We can absolutely confirm the friendliness that the Irish are said to be. Thank you for the wonderful time. We'd love to come back.

We had a very short stay here, had to leave early due to issues at our home. Only issue with the house is the showers, both need attention, low water pressure and downstairs shower head and lead need to be replaced.

We had a wonderful time at Anne and John’s cottage. It’s clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you need. It was an excellent “home base” as was explored Ireland for the first time. Anne was always in communication, even warning us when bad weather was coming. We highly recommend Fanore Holiday Cottages!

It was a nice and interesting week in a real charming cottage for my son and me. Anne gives us a friendly welcome and even if the weather was bad, we felt good in this comfortable house.

Cottage was clean, spacious and well stocked for cooking. Great lighting, heat and very comfortable beds.
Anne communicated with timely responses to questions. She is extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the area.
The views of both the Burren landscape and Sea are lovely!!!
My husband and I look forward to staying at these cottages again as we love the Burren and felt very much at home in our Cottage.

Quiet, peaceful location in Fanore close to hiking trails, mountains and the beach! And cows grazing in the field behind the cottage. Wonderful stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Fanore Holiday Cottages, and we cannot wait to return. We spent two full weeks hiking the Burren, going to the beach, taking a trail ride, visiting the islands, watching the calves, and we had fish and chips at the local pub four times! The self-catering accommodation meant the trip was also really affordable and the kitchen has everything one needs to make a good meal. It’s close to Galway for a day out, and there’s plenty to see and do within a reasonable drive. The cottage is massive (almost too big for our little family) but that meant lots of space to stretch out and get quiet time. Anne was very responsive and answered all our questions (and she has great suggestions for everything from activities to groceries). Couldn’t recommend more!

Our four-night stay in the cottage with the yellow door was delightful. Clean, comfortable and convenient, this cottage was ideal for our needs. Anne is one of the most congenial hosts I have met. She made us feel right at home. Plus we enjoyed our conversations with her!

Thank you Anne for a delightful stay. The cottage was very clean and cozy. O’Donahue’s had an excellent fish fry and the grocery directed us to the best routes. The cottage is very private and perfectly peaceful. The ocean is visible from the bnb and the Barren is directly out the back yard. There is a very good “hiking” trail close. Our cottage was within walking distance to the beach. At the end of a Dead end, it would be perfectly safe for children. We never understood the shower but Anne was at the end of the road to help. I recommend buying paper towels to bring along. Excellent stay, perfect place and perfect host for us. Thanks again Anne.

This cosy cottage was delightful. It was very roomy and accommodated 8 people easily. The kitchen was well equipped and when we arrived it was spotless with a lovely fresh feeling everywhere. Going on the photos on line we did not expect that the house would be as good as it was. Many more up to date images would give a truer picture of how it really is. We were there during a storm with biting, cold rain and we found the house very warm and cosy which was a delight to return to in the evening. Turf was provided for an open fire which created a warm atmosphere for evening games. As to the hostess, she had a lovely easy manner which was so welcoming. She was unobtrusive but we always knew that she was at the end of the road if we needed her. A perfect holiday guardian angel!!!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. It was so clean! And everything we needed ready to go. Sorry we had to pay you in coins for the electric fee! We had a great time and would recommend the property to anyone.

Our family of five stayed here for four nights and could not have fallen more deeply in love with this part of the world.
Fanore was a great small town with the nicest people, beautiful scenery and a great beach.
Anne was helpful and kind and brought us peat for the fireplace on a cold windy day.
We visited Doolin for great food and live Irish music and took a ferry to the Aran Islands to ride bikes around the island. All very cool.
My only suggestion for the house would be more comfortable comforters for the beds. But aside from that a HOMERUN!

The property was advertised as non smoking, however, upon arrival we noted an ashtray and were told that smoking was permitted just not in the bedrooms.. We did notice the smell of smoke. Also the kitchen lacked basics such as paper towels, coffee filters. Otherwise the property itself was lovely.

Just a picture perfect location for a holiday retreat. Great cottage with a working fireplace and bunnies and cows right outside your window. An ideal central location to the cliffs, Doolin, Aran Islands, Fanore Beach, and Galway. We were sad to leave such a beautiful place.

It is perfectly located to enjoy the Burren, Aran Islands, Doolin, Fanore beach and Cliffs of Moher among other County Clare sights. Fun in Fanore
Extremely well-kept cottage close to the ocean close to the Burrnne. Anne was a joy, we are both girls scouts and kindred spirits. She was a great help in knowing what to see and how to get to places. She also gives tours to the top of her mountain. This cottage is in a location that makes it a total vacation package.

A chatming Irish cottage in a lovely area of Ireland!
Four of us stayed in this holiday cottage near the beach and the "Wild Atlantic Way" on the west coast of Ireland. We were delighted with the charm of this place, from the colorful "Dutch Door" that greets you when you arrive, to the beautifully finished wood interior and floors. Even the walls were finished so that you felt like you were truly in an Irish cottage! The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, although we had a bit of a problem figuring out the washer/dryer combination. (I am afraid we Americans fall a bit short of understanding when it comes to European appliances!) One of the highlights was the peat fire we enjoyed in the fireplace, thanks to our hosts providing the peat and instructions necessary to get it going. The beds were very comfortable, and the entire house was spotless. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay near the Burren! Although there are three cottages on the property, each cottage is very private and separate from the others. It is clear that much careful thought went into the design and location of Fanore Holiday Cottages.
Anne met us shortly after our arrival with information about local shops and places to eat and suggestions of places to visit in the area. She recommended O'Donahue's pub for traditional pub food -- an excellent suggestion. Can't beat fish and chips made with fish caught by local fishermen! The Cliffs of Moher are a short drive from Fanore, and we witnessed a spectacular sunset from the nearby beach. Thanks, Anne and John, for a wonderful stay. Hopefully we will return again -- for a longer stay.

A wonderful place to stay in a gorgeous part of Ireland.
This beautifully maintained house was so great for my husband and me. It was in the perfect location to explore the Burren and the amazing coastline, and Anne was a truly lovely host. I highly recommend this delightful cottage. Everything you could need to cook and relax after a day of hiking was provided. And, Anne was available to answer our questions and provide suggestions for our explorations in the area.

Charming cottage near the sea with a wonderful hostess
This cottage was a delightful, seaside location for our extended family of seven. Anne was a a wonderful hostess, who gave us great information about the area, and who provided a starter log and peat for a fire our first night. Wonderful hiking nearby, both down to the nearby beach and up into the Burren region hills overlooking the property. We would definitely stay here again!

The lawn was full of bunnies and the pastures had baby calves. The house is good to go.
A lovely cottage near the beach and the Burren.
We had good weather and it was calving time.
We would be happy to stay there on the next trip to Doolin.

A beautiful stay in a beautiful place!
This house was gorgeous. Clean, beautifully maintained and stunning surroundings. The view of the green hills, the Burren, the beach and the sheep, cows and horses made our stay in this bucolic setting just perfect. The owner, Ann, could not have been more accommodating. She was charming and sweet and so helpful. I would return to Fanore in a heartbeat. We loved staying here.
