The house as far as renovations go was very nice. Where the house was lacking - the matresses were not very good, have smart tvs or roku do guests can stream shows, backyard was overgrown and pool should be cleaned more than once a week. At start of our week (Saturday) pool could have used a cleaning but was not cleaned until Tuesday. By Friday it could have been cleaned again.

Beautiful home in a great location in south Venice area. Close to Manasota beach and blind pass beach, both excellent locations for shark tooth hunting. Pool was at a perfect 87 degrees, the two master en suites work perfect for us having to couples on vaca. Gareth has great communication and responds quickly. The pool area was our relaxing area after a day at the beach then to dinner then for a dip with wine to finish our evenings. Views of our neighbors on either side is restricted and having the Manasota preserve behind the home and looking at nature makes the pool area very private. If you want to visit the area of Sarasota to venice to Englewood and to port charolette, this makes a centrally location.

Great house with so much room. Very well stocked with plenty of dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans etc. The pool was kept at a very comfortable temperature the whole time we were there. Only draw back was the outdoor grill. It needs replaced with a NEW grill.

Considering there was a hurricane that had swept Florida the house was very nice, the pool area was a bit of a disaster with netting missing but Gareth worked hard trying to get the pool area back to normal, but we had to wait 4 days for the pool man to come before we could use it. House was nice but needs to be updated

Great stay! House was a quick 1-2 minute drive to Manasota Beach. Beach had free, close parking and plenty of it, restrooms, and picnic areas. You could walk to the beach if you are ambitious but if you plan on taking a lot of beach supplies I wouldn't reccomend it. Plenty of beach supplies at the house, chairs, towels, a cooler, Shark teeth sifters, umbrellas. Only thing I would suggest would be to provide a wagon for carting things across the beach or if you want to walk to the beach, it would be a great help. The beach was clean, and although busy I felt we had plenty of space to ourselves. We found many shark teeth, the beach is amazing, and was the highlight of our trip! The house was as pictured in the listing. Enough basic supplies were provided, the only thing we purchased after arrival was laundry detergent and trash bags. Pool area was clean and lots of seating. Our favorite area of the house! Nice view of the back yard and palm trees, we even saw a small gator in the pond! (never near the house) Pool noodles were available but some are getting old and need replaced. Decor in the house could use some updating, but doesn't take away from the function of the house, and we didn't spend alot of time inside anyway. The house is roomy, plenty of space for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. Communication with the owner was easy, and he responded promptly to questions. Check in was easy, no problems getting in the house. Neighborhood was quiet. We drove about 10 minutes to south venice for most of our shopping and eating out. A lot of good restaurants in the area. There is a Super Walmart about 6 min drive from the house, where we purchased all of our groceries. Never saw anyone at the house other than someone mowing the yard one afternoon. Over all had a great stay, would reccomend!

Enjoyed our stay. The house suited us well but did have some minor issues. The owner was quick to respond and fixed the issues in a timely fashion. House could use some decorating updates but we really enjoyed the pool, lanai, and closeness to the beach. Looking forward to returning next year.

Overall the house was great it did lack a lot of basic toiletry and sanitary items the pool heater never really worked and overall I feel the place is beautiful but was not maintained by the standards I’m used to seeing it VRBO’s. It’s definitely a high volume rental home. Plan to buy/ bring soaps, cleaners, trash bags and paper towels and TP!!

Overall I would stay again I was disappointed that it listed a hot tub but was not working I have not taken a vacation in over 10 years and this was well needed and was looking so forward to a hot tub other than that we had no issues and really appreciated you opening your home to us and allowing us to be there thank you

The sand is a powdery white and there is a really nice concession stand. I suggest dining at Fins at Sharky in Venice around sunset. The food and view are amazing. Overall our vacation was tons of fun and I’m happy with our stay.

We rented this amazing property the week of the 4th of July, and it was just the right size for our family of six. The location is perfect! It is less than a mile from the beach(just a short drive/walk down the road) and close to lots of great restaurants. There is a nature preserve right behind the residence and although we never got to see an alligator we did catch a glimpse of a river otter while we were relaxing in the pool. We also got to see several Gopher Tortoises and plenty of rabbits. The property was very well kept and Mr. Evans was quick to respond even before the booking. We had a few special requests and questions during our stay and he even responded within minutes on a holiday. This was especially nice since the in-laws traveled with us. In fact, they enjoyed it so much they are already ready to plan our next trip back. Overall we could not have chosen a better property or host for my birthday location. If you are fortunate enough to book this property you will be glad you did.

We stayed at the property for a week for our family vacation. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. My entire family loved it. The beach was super close. And shopping wasn't far away either.

We had a wonderful stay and visit with family and friends and the house couldn’t have been better. Perfect family spot and pool was delightful. Owner was specific about rules of occupancy but we discovered it’s a municipal regulation so understandable. Would definitely rent again but may need to find a location that can accommodate more family members. A most enjoyable stay!

Our stay for 9 days was enjoyable. Owner was very responsive when we needed him. Neighborhood is quiet and very close to Manasota Beach which we visited a couple of times during our stay, both early morning and sunsets. Also convenient to super Walmart and Publix for your everyday needs.

The house was exactly as pictured, it is conveniently located, close to beach, stores and restaurants. Pool is great my grandchildren loved it. We had a great vacation would not hesitate to book again.

Spent a relaxing 2 weeks by the pool. 4 bedrooms with many sitting area allowed the 5 of us time together or alone. Quiet area, clean, comfortable. Well stocked kitchen with many dishes and implements. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location close to many nice beaches! We loved the house.

This house was clean, spacious and amazing. The pool is clean and awesome AND warm! The owner made sure the pool heater was running before we arrived. The only issue...as pointed out before..the owner is RUDE! We drove from MI and got there a lot later than we expected after 2 full days on the road with 3 young toddlers! We were exhausted, hungry and in need of access to a bathroom. The property was pitch black and we searched and searched through our emails for the key code to get in. We kept looking at the last 5 or 6 emails and especially the one labeled "here's your keys" to no avail. After about 20 minutes in the dark, really needing to get in..I texted the owner to please let me know the code and he called me back with this big long lecture about how he sent an email 2 days ago to locate the key code..well you know what we were probably driving and I'm sorry but how hard is it to text me some numbers so we can get out of the dark and into the house? It really upset me and made me afraid to ask him anything or let him know any issues we came upon during our stay. Turns out the key code is in the first email you ever get from him (sent 2.5 months prior to stay), which I never expected due to safety and privacy and figured it was changed with each renter..apparently not! My last rental experience (different owner) the owner offered restaurant and activity suggestions and made us feel free to text or call with any questions or concerns.. much more relaxing. Communication with the owner with questions prior to our stay were promptly and kindly responded to..not sure what happened once we arrived...But if you don't mind rudeness or can avoid him all together (he lives in the area and will come to get stuff out of the garage (or check up on you?)) This place is amazing! The decor is different or outdated but who cares when you're renting. The beach is a mile away and you can walk if you so desire or easy drive with free parking. Very nice home! Just what we expected. The pool was immaculate!

This house was a perfect location and was exactly what we were looking for to accommodate our family. The overall cleanliness of the house was good; however, the decor was a bit dated and some of the sliding doors were not well oiled. We had one minor issue with the AC, but the owner had it fixed right away. The only negative comment we had was that the owner scolded me for not checking my email daily (while we were on vacation) to retrieve his message about trash pick up. We also felt as though he was ‘watching’ us since he told us the recycle bins were the wrong way on the street. While we appreciate him letting us know, we did feel as though our privacy was being invaded. Otherwise, it was a great house, location and visit. The pool and patio were excellent. Thanks!
