Our stay at the Pod House was easily the best part of our 2 week visit to Fiji. Bruce and Jen were very accommodating and were excellent hosts. The property manager, Jolene, was absolutely wonderful and coordinated our entire itinerary during our stay. She not only provided the best recommendations for food (best food in Fiji we've had across every meal) but excursions as well; she would arrange and organize all the logistics so that everything went seamlessly, leaving nothing else for you to do but to enjoy what Savusavu had to offer. The property's taxi driver, Bablu, was also amazing. He was always very dependable and went out of his way to arrange any additional activities we wanted to do. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of exceptional. We would absolutely recommend staying at the Pod House to anyone planning to visit Savusavu, especially since we definitely will be planning to in the future!

I can’t even begin to say enough good things about the Pod House. Jolene was so wonderful leading up to our stay and through out. The owners were there if we needed anything, and both had wonderful suggestions about things to do. This is the perfect romantic retreat, located about 6.5 km from town, but close to a pristine beach with amazing snorkeling. When you needed a quick cool off, the pool was there to provide. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook, including a wonderful BBQ. I can’t begin to say enough good things. If you are thinking about staying in Savusavu, stay here. Thank you so very much, and we absolutely plan to come again!!!

Perfect stay! Few other words can describe the beauty and ideal setting of the Pod House. The owners and staff are as helpful, kind, caring, available and always providing Fijian warmth and Bula. Romantic setting at its best! Good fun snorkeling just steps away. Loved the local town dining, shopping, out door market and certainly the warmth of the local people too. What can we say...we love the Pod House! It’s privacy is top notch, yet there are views towards the sea and plenty of outdoor spaces for sitting and sleeping. The plunge pool is cool but not cold and terrifically refreshing. The bedroom pod is quiet, comfortable and very spacious with a very nice, contemporary shower and double sink area. The kitchen area is well equipped for cooking all the fun things that we purchased at the market. We will happily return to the Pod House or it’s sister property the house of Bamboo hopefully sooner...not later. Thanks Jolene and Bruce for another fantastic vacation. Scott and Anne

We spent 14 AMAZING days at The Pod House!! Bruce was great to deal with when booking the Pod House. Jolene greeted us at the airport and took the time to show us where to shop and eat while staying in Savusavu. We arrived at the Pod House to find it exceeded our expectations and the Fiji starter pack in the kitchen was a nice touch!! We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and appreciated the absolute privacy. Jolene was quick to answer any of our questions and was always available to organize tours and dinner reservations. If you want to truly experience Fiji then this is the place to stay!! We miss our morning chats with Jolene and cannot wait to return!! Thank you Bruce and Jolene for making this a holiday to remember!!

Jolene started our trip by picking us up at the airport and showing us around the town of Savusavu (located a $8 fijian taxi ride away from the pod house) The Pod house is a luxury accommodation with options to use snorkel gear paddle boards and kayaks. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen for breakfasts with a mimosa by the plunge pool and went to town for our dinners. The house was clean, private and modern and Jolene's great hospitality made the trip for us.

The photos and reviews sure are nice but the Pod House is WAY BETTER than we sure expected... Super private, personal and exclusive to the point that the folks paying $1000 plus to stay at the fancy resort a 3 minute walk down the road are riding in steerage and way over paying for an inferior experience. The staff iss awesome in their attention to preserving the private moment and taking care to coach you up about the town. Jolene picked us up at the airport and "Bula-ed" her way through town showing us the best opportunities to provision our extended sailboat voyage while taking care of our desire to hang out in town - a total treasure!. Bruce, the owner, understands what "high end " truly means and he delivered the most amazing experience we had on land in Fiji. The Pod House is larger and more modern than we expected. Total privacy which was respected by staff and more rambling space than we expected, fully equipped kitchen, high end furnishings and everything worked. Looking forward to coming back on the way and way back from New Zealand on a future adventure. Thanks Jolene and Bruce - you guys are really the best!

The Pod House is the perfect house for a romantic getaway in a phenomenal location. The house is well set up with beautiful views of Savusavu Bay. Jolene was extremely helpful making us feel welcome and introducing us to Savusavu. We've already recommended the Pod House to our friends and will be back as soon as we can.

The Pod House is a sublime property - combining a great design, appointments and location to deliver an amazing holiday experience. There are an abundance of places to sit and lounge around... so that you can chillax wherever you want, regardless of the weather. Great care and thought has been put into the design and layout of both the 'sleeping' pod and the 'living' pod. The house is totally private, yet open to the landscape and environment around you. The views across Savu Savu Bay are gorgeous - and there's fabulous snorkelling virtually on your doorstep. The elevated view means that there are a few steps to climb to get there - so be prepared for some minor aerobic activity to get in and out of the property. The town of Savu Savu is a quick, scenic and cheap taxi ride if you want some variety - and there are plenty of inexpensive dining options in town. The management and support staff are delightful and accommodating - and happy to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. In a nutshell - The Pod House is fabulous.

We loved our honeymoon stay at the pod house. The setting is just beautiful. Tom, the property manager, was a great help. The property is close to a great snorkeling location, and we enjoyed our long walk into town as well. We highly recommend the pod house for anyone who's looking for a romantic getaway!

We stayed in the pod house for 8 nights and had a fantastic time The house has it all Breakfast on the balcony with awesome views across the bay, take your pick of two daybeds to have another snooze or read a good book, sit in a comfy chair by the pool, jump in to cool off, all in absolute privacy. Tom is always there behind the scenes to give a helping hand or advise if needed. We hired a car in town for two days and got to see some beautiful scenery and meeting the local people is a experience we'll never forget There are very few signs so getting "lost" is quite easy but people are very helpful and we always felt safe. Keep in mind that Savusavu is not (yet) a touristy place, which we liked, and a lot is done the Fiji way: the "tourist office" in town was closed on Saturday and thought that we could make our own way to the rainforest reserve without them calling ahead only to find the place locked up and it didn't look frequently used. Plenty of shops and restaurants in town at very reasonable prices, shopping where the locals go, like the market, is a great experience. Keep in mind that this island has no real white beaches that come to mind thinking of Fiji islands, for great snorkeling or diving you will have to book a tour. For us the pod house was the perfect place to stay The booking with Bruce was fantastic, great communication and everything was as promised and highly recommend staying here

Just as described. Perfect sunsets, swaying palms, secluded, private. Owners were away so we were met at the airport by Tom, their property manager. Awesome local knowledge. On hand daily if we needed anything. Taxi's to town, about 6kms away, are plentiful and cheap. The local food market is very good and well priced. The town is quite busy with lots of shops and super friendly locals. They don't pounce on you like they do in Nadi. You're left alone and they go out of their way to help if you ask. Savusavu is basically awesome! Thanks for a great week in paradise!

To make a long story short, the atmosphere is premier, clean and pristine, the new owners (Bruce and Jen) are so friendly and accommodating, and my wife and I will stay no where else next time we travel to SavuSavu. Overall, had THE BEST experience staying at the "Pod House". If you are coming to SavuSavu and want a top notch stay for a great price, look no further.

What can we say.....from the beautiful Pod house with all its amenities to it's incredible structure that gave us the greatest stay and a sense of security when the Cyclone did a u-turn over Tonga and came back on the islands quickly. An extra thanks to Brad who helped us prepared and showed great concern for our safety.....it was great to see him after the storm in town and his friends who gave us coffee and a phone to call anyone we needed. The people of Fiji are amazing, resilient and always smiling. The day after the storm they had already cleared over 3 miles of road of debris trees and power lines. The town was getting back in order and the airport was being cleaned up to help the tourist leave if they needed to. Of all our travels this was both the most relaxing and the most exhilarating to say the least. Brad and Therese were great and don't ever hesitate to stay in this great house and the great town of Savusavu.

What can we say - We stayed for 9 nights and what an experience this was - the most relaxing holiday me and my wife have been to! Service from cooks/cleaners was allround excellent - Will definetly be staying here again BULA!!

We have just returned from an 8 night stay at the Pod House. On arrival. Brad the Owner personally picked us up in his Land Rover and drove us to the Pod House. I was blown away by how awesome the property was. It exceeded what we expected & saw on the web! It looked like this was a home right out of a Home Decor magazine. Very well decorated, giving you the Fijian feeling. The King size bed was very comfortable with high grade linens. Spacious shower with separate toilet and double sinks were a plus. Had Pure Fiji toiletries to shower for a few days. Even a washing machine. The kitchen was as well stocked as my kitchen at home. As my husband & I love to cook, t this was very important to us. We bought our Fresh Fish / Lobster, Fruits & Vegetable at the Local Market which is a few miles down the road. We even had a barbecue to use. We did take a few siestas on the Daybed by the pool... was very private. As it was winter there, the pool was too cold for us Floridians to use, but was lovely to look at. We could not get enough of the spectacular views in front of the home. You could see miles and miles of the bay with an extinct volcano in the background. Every night there were spectacular sunsets to watch as you sip on a glass of wine from the veranda. Easy walk to Cousteau Resort where you can dine and take Dive trips if you like. There also a famous snorkeling Coral Bed called Split Rock that you can walk to. Taxis are abundant and cheap to use. We did rent a car to explore more of the Island. I recommend this only if you are use to driving on the left side of the road. As my husband was there for business, he needed to have High Speed Internet. The complimentary WIFI was great to have & worked well. The Fijian people ARE the happiest people in the world! Loved how they say "Bula" with a smile everytime! I highly recommend that you do not stay on the main Island - go to Vanua Levu to experience true Fiji! A big "Vinaka" - THANK YOU to Brad & Therese for offering us such spectacular accomodations for our stay in Fiji!! Would love to return one day....
