Penycoed Cottage
In abgeschiedener, unberührter Lage hoch auf einem Hügel mit herrlichem Blick über das Dovey-Tal. Dieses gut ausgestattete Ferienhaus liegt ruhig auf einem 150 Hektar großen Ackerland mit eigenem großen umzäunten und lagerbeständigen Garten. Sorgfältig renoviert, bewahrt es viele originale Merkmale und ist im Einklang mit seinem Stil und Alter eingerichtet. Das Haus dient als Haus, wenn es nicht rausgelassen wird. Machynlleth (5 Meilen) hat Geschäfte, Restaurants, Fahrradverleih und Freizeitzentrum mit Schwimmbad. Sandstrand, Segeln und Golf sind auch in Aberdovey 12 Meilen verfügbar. RSPB Heiligtum in Ynyshir 10 Meilen, rote Drachen und andere Vögel können von der Hütte aus gesehen werden. Zentrum für alternative Technik 5 Meilen. Fluss, Seeangeln und Meeresangeln in der Nähe. Radwege, Tontaubenschießen und Quadfahren sind innerhalb von 2 Meilen möglich. In unmittelbarer Nähe zu den Great Little Trains von Wales. Malerische Spaziergänge und Radfahren von der Haustür (Hütte auf dem Reitweg). Pub, Laden und Post 1. 5 Meilen.

Lovely setting. Beautiful surroundings, peaceful and secluded.Nice quaint cottage with gorgeous garden.Mary, our host was super lovely, really helpful and a font of knowledge. Weally enjoyed our stay and exploring the area.

Another lovely stay in this cottage. You’ll need to take all the essentials and be prepared to buy logs, kindling etc in the colder months but the location is fabulous and the wrap around garden perfect for dogs and a sense of being away from it all. Lovely walks in the area, only a short drive from amenities. This is our 4th stay here and we hope to return.

When you pull up outside, you’re all excited because it looks beautiful. But as soon as you open the door, that excitement starts to fade, and you start thinking, 'What have we booked here?' There is a weird smell that you don’t get used to, the pictures from the site are not recent and don’t reflect the true state of the property. There are spiders and cobwebs everywhere you look. I understand it’s an old property and there will be spiders, but some of the cobwebs look years old. The property needs a deep clean, a lick of paint, and the bathroom and kitchen desperately need an upgrade. But the worst thing, and the reason we left on the 3rd day and not the 4th, was the mattress on the double bed; it is as solid as a rock and very old, at least 20, 30, or 40 years old. We had to book a hotel for our last night. It’s disappointing because this house could be an amazing place.
