Hotel Akropoli

Die Nähe zum Flughafen, das Personal war sehr freundlich. Man hat extra für uns noch einmal die Küche besetzt, damit wir zu Abendessen kommen.

Die Hauptstraße verlief dicht am Gebäude es war nachts ziemlich laut.

The family run hotel was exceptional. The owner made every effort to make sure that we were happy and if we needed anything. The breakfast was freshly prepared and the bar and restaurant reasonably priced. We loved Tirana, maybe not the traffic so much!, and we have booked to returned for a couple of days before we fly home. Thank you to all at Hotel Akropolis for making us feel so welcome.

Nothing, it was all good

Excellent service and hospitality from the staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and the complimentary drink on arrival was a lovely touch. The room was comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed having the balcony once the room was changed for the second night.

There was a small administrative error which meant we weren’t given the balcony room we had reserved on the first night. However, the staff acknowledged this immediately, apologised and resolved it for the second night, so it wasn’t a major issue.

The staff are very warm and welcoming and helpful. The hotel is reasonably priced. We were given a triple room for the 2 of us on the ground floor which was extremely kind of them as the twin room was first floor. They gave us free water everyday. The hotel front area is lovely with trees and flowers. Its in a residential area and very safe.

The hotel location is very out of the way from city centre as well as the Terminal bus station. Even though its not far, from the North South Terminal bus station, its near a motorway. The bus does come from a nearby location and then you have to walk the narrow streets. Getting a taxi was a nightmare. We were quoted, 20, 10 Euros but in the end paid 3 Euros. We got them to order taxis for us which were reasonable. Taxi to centre is 6 to 10 Euros, depending on time of day. I have never had such basic breakfast. Warm bread, butter n fig jam, Omelette or scrambled eggs with tea n coffee or cappuccino. There was plenty n we were full. Just need a bit of variety. The door lock was not working, almost coming out and the towel rail kept going out. No basin for the shower.
