The house and gardens are great. The master bedroom is large and the bed was very comfortable. Jane was available to answer a question I had. My only suggestion is raise the mirror in the master bedroom bathroom. Any one over 5ft8 can’t see the top of the head, frustrating to fix my hair

This charming home was immaculate and welcoming. The owner left personal notes and the best carrot muffins ever! You were not left guessing how to operate any equipment, or location of items, as detailed notes were in each room. There was a delightful artist/reading shed in a back yard filled with a garden and hammock. Could not of been a more relaxing stay.

This property will forever be my go to for places to stay in Brookings Oregon. Jane has thought of every detail and any little quirks of the house is explained, such as the light switch locations. She also has all the creature comforts so if you are thinking “I wonder if she has Q-tips”, just open a cabinet and you’ll find what you need. My dogs were so happy to play in a fenced yard while my fiancé and I enjoyed the sunset in the lawn chairs and tree swings. We will definitely be back!

This little bungalow truly felt like home :-). There is a filtered view of the water, but you can hear the waves crashing and the property is immaculate! So comfy and fun.

What a jewel! The cottage was very bright, comfortable and artsy. The neighborhood was quiet and nice for getting rest. So close to the harbor and beach. We loved walking the dogs In the area. The yard had everything we needed. A fire pit, hammock, chairs hung from a huge Redwood tree, patio chairs, table., and BBQ and was fully fenced. The cottage and yards were immaculate. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Jane for the special recognition of my daughter’s birthday.

From the beginning this was warm and inviting home. There was a fenced yard that our dogs loved.This home had all the suppies we needed. We felt it was over and above in preparing us to visit this cool area and town. WE credit your efforts. Thank you Jane

As my son told us when packing up the car to leave, “You HAVE TO give Miss Jane a 5 star rating!” One of - if not the - best VRBO stays we’ve had. An abundance of hospitality, from welcome muffins and mints to shared suggestions for hikes, restaurants, activities with the kids, and more. Cozy & comfortable beds, enough room in the living room for all of us to spread out or gather to play games, a short walk to the port and several restaurants, and immaculately clean. The kitchen was clean and had all the things you’d need to make family meals, including a well-stocked spice cabinet, coffee, cocoa, and cooking utensils. Personal touches and tasteful decor throughout the home like home-grown lavender sachets and dried mushrooms, as well as work from local artists. Jane’s a delightful hostess who was available as little or as much as we needed her to help answer questions, get dining and hiking ideas, etc. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to stay during our week along the southern OR coast!

Jane's sea breeze bungalow was close enough to hear the ocean and hear the sea gulls. Was very relaxing, and retiring in front of the wood stove was cozy.

Jane’s house was perfect for a friends’ weekend and was thoughtfully equipped with everything you’d need - in the kitchen, and for our visit, right down to umbrellas, welcoming muffins & chocolates. Very comfortable beds. Wood burning stove made it cozy!

My husband and I were so lucky to spend a week in Jane’s wonderful home. The personal welcome sign and delicious treats made us feel comfortable immediately. The house was extremely clean and so well stocked. There is literally EVERYTHING a guest could want, from basic needs (kitchen and bathroom items) to special amenities (dog items, toys, games, beach stuff, etc). The layout of the house, huge yard, and parking was great, but we especially loved the mud room. It was a terrific space for our dog’s crate, removing shoes, storing coolers, backpacks, etc after a day of exploring. It was clearly evident that being an owner operated vacation home makes this place a cut above with personal touches such as local art (loved Spencer’s works!), seasonal decorations, and excellent beach, trail, and restaurant recommendations. Thank you Jane for providing this special retreat for a relaxing vacation!

We loved everything about the house. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner after a long day of hiking, and the owner just put special little touches everywhere to make our stay wonderful. We will be back sometime and have already told friends about the place.

We were constantly noticing the little touches that Jane adds to the experience. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The beds were all comfortable supporting wonderful sleep. The living room furniture was so comfortable and inviting. The property is private and peaceful with many ways to chill and enjoy the outdoors, and short walk to the ocean. This was the most comfortable getaway our group of 4 women have ever stayed for the past 15+ years. We would stay here in a heartbeat if ever in Brookings again. We just wished our plans were to stay longer.

Lovely, cozy, very clean cottage. My wife and I loved it. Jane, the property owner, was great. She left produce from her garden and muffins for my wife's birthday. She thought of so many nice touches, like lavender sachets from her garden and excellent advice from homes to restaurants. We would absolutely recommend this bungalow to anyone planning to spend time in this beautiful little corner of Oregon.

The home is comfortable and fully stocked with anything you could ever need. Jane is super responsive and just an all-around fantastic human. We will definitely return! We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire property. The house was stocked with all the necessities that you could ask for. Jane had made us 5 carrot cake muffins that were delicious. She left us the recipe which we copied. She provided us 6 fresh eggs from her chickens and several fresh lemons. Jane's added amenities were a nice touch. The location is about as close as you can get to the ocean with out paying an outrageous price. We make a couple of trips a year to Brookings and will definitely try to book the property again.
