Booked S Central, ended up next door at Splendid Hotel (other hotel under construction). Said we had an upgrade, but didn't look like it. Not happy with bathroom (small, bathtub instead of walk-in shower) nor the caged-in balcony, no city view either. Breakfast

The images of the property are different from the actual room that we were given. The hotel has 2/3 buildings and each one is different. we stayed only for a night but the room was a little small and located in another building. Breakfast area is a little cramped up but the food selection was very good.

No real choice if you are gluten intolerant, which is normal wherever you stay. However there was plenty of ‘free’ bananas about I coped well enough . My eat anything partner was very pleased

Only real negative is there are 4 hotels all very close that operate as one which is confusing when you first arrive

The staff were wonderful, really helpful, sorted me out with a SIM card at comparable prices to what I had seen elsewhere, quite keen to book and arrange things for you but again at competitive rates from what I could see. Breakfast was great. Upgraded my room at no cost. Location is great and noise wasn’t too bad for me a bit of noise from the alley during night, and from the neigbouring room…

Facilities a little more run down than photos would suggest but fine for my needs and for the price. Did try and ask for my phone at the end to put their own review online which was a little deceptive. Overall my experience was good though.

Very good position and very helpful staff. Breakfast was good. We went 2 days away and we were able to leave our big luggage at the hotel's reception. After spending the day in Ha Noi and, right before leaving, they let us take a shower..That was really helpful..

There was an old and dirty mattress in the room when we entered, a cockroach attached to the curtains and the towels had a burning smell. We stayed in this hotel 3 times. The first time, during the check-out (11AM), the manager asked us to leave a review, we didn't want to and we promised to do it afterwards. The manager insisted explaining that he needed a review before 12 PM, we tried to still resist but in the end we felt obliged to leave it. They stood around us while we were leaving it and they even tried to take our phone to do it on their own. In the end we left a 10 instead of an 8 or maybe a 9 only because of this harassment. We advise them to avoid this behaviour in the future as they are good at their job and by being pushy they only make guests uncomfortable.

Large room. Great location in a pedestrian street, so quiet at night.

Communal areas a little tired. Bathroom a bit tired eg discoloured grout & hard water.

Staff was amazing! Specially Tom! Huge Kudos to him. Room was amazing; Huge, clean and confortable. Breakfast is like a dream! Buffet time! It was a pleasure to awake up and wait for it.

The only not that I can point out was the hot water. Most of the time the hot water was only available for 1minute. After that the temperature dropped and we would have to take a not-cold but not-hot bath. I think it needs to be fixed urgently.

The hotel is very well located to explore the center. We had an upgrade to a beautiful room with a view of the cathedral and the city rooftop landscape. The breakfast is good and has many options available. The staff is kind and supportive, they gave us a lot of information on the area and helped us booking a late taxi to the airport. Anna and Harry even let us take a quick shower before heading to the airport and kept our luggage during our last day in Hanói after checking out.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the facilities were very nice and clean and in a very convenient location. The hotel is very close to st Joseph's cathedral and not too far from the lake. We had a massage and facial at the hotel too which was excellent and a very reasonable price. We would love to come and stay again.
