My family and I enjoyed another week staying at the farm house. As usual everything was clean orderly and ready for our arrival. Sandra is an excellent host and her communication is always prompt. We can’t wait to come back again next year.

We loved staying at this house, a perfect combination of charming, quaint Vermont, and the modern updates needed for a comfortable summer stay. Sandra responded immediately whenever we had questions, and we appreciated all of the attention to detail that made our stay even more special. From the house, it was a quick walk to downtown Poultney, and an easy drive to Lake St. Catherine, blueberry picking at Hicks Farm, and hiking around a Japanese Zen garden and up Mount Zion in Hubbardton. We hope to return to this beautiful home soon!

My family and stayed at the farmhouse for the second year in a row. Just like last year everything was clean and orderly when we arrived. The house is charming and just as described in the site. Dealing with Sandra was a pleasure as she is always quick to respond. We look forward to coming back again next year!

I will start by saying that the owner, Sandra, responds very quickly to messages, and she sent a reminder about the check-out process the day before we were scheduled to leave. The area is quiet, and served as a home base for our daily excursions within Vermont and upstate NY. Our 11 and 15 year old nieces especially enjoyed the Adventure Center at Killington (approx. 50 minutes away), The Vermont Teddy Bear Factory tour (approx. 1 hour 20 minutes away), and Lake George (approx. 45 minutes away). My husband's favorite was visiting the replica of the original Star Trek set in Ticonderoga, NY (approx. 45 minutes away). Taps Tavern in Poultney is so good, we ate dinner there twice. (Great wings, salads, pulled pork, and fried calamari.) We also enjoyed brunch at Johnny Boys Pancake House in Rutland (approx. 30 minutes away). The beds in the four upstairs bedrooms are surprisingly comfortable, and the downstairs is quite spacious. I am a meticulously clean person, and the house, while very tidy, didn't fully meet my standards of cleanliness. The owner was apologetic when I texted her about this. Our last two days were very hot, and only one of the bedrooms had a window air conditioner installed. The others had window fans that we installed. The ground floor rear windows have neither curtains nor blinds, nor do the windows at the top of the stairs, which made the house even hotter. We were advised that the upstairs toilet had weak plumbing, so the downstairs toilet was the designated "#2 toilet. " Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
