A very big and comfortable room. Bed was very comfy and the bathroom adequate. Breakfast offering was great and the staff all friendly and super helpful. You can make yourself a cup of tea in the room. This was our second stay.

The church bells, the church is located across the road, along with truck noise meant sleep was disrupted. Overnight parking costs in church grounds or park on the street. There is no hotel parking available. There is no lift up to the accommodation. As is usual in most places in England during winter the heating in the general spaces is always turned on 'high' and can easily become uncomfortable. Bathroom is starting to look a little tired.

Stayed at this hotel a good few times, lovely location and very nice hotel.

I was extremely disappointed with this stay as we had booked the deluxe room, however once booking in and arriving in the room I noticed it was not the room I had originally booked. I went and spoken to the manger who just said well someone els is in that room so we upgraded your room. However the one I had already paid for was a lot nicer then the room we was put in. After paying £130 a night I would expect on arrival they would have at least mentioned they had changed the room and apologised. I also paid for a mini bar which should have been included in the price however this was not complimented. Will not be staying again very disappointed. The beds were two small doubles put together which was very annoying also couldn’t even have a goodnight sleep as the door on the hotel room was banging all night everytime someone was in the hallway !

From the moment I arrived until I left the service and attention from all staff was excellent, without being overwhelming. The food was excellent and over the two days I had breakfast, lunch and dinner and all meals were first class from a really nice menu. Will definitely stay again.

The Kirkfield Hotel is a lovely welcoming place, it’s our second visit and we will definitely be back. The staff are on hand at all time to deal with any requests or concerns and we felt they really cared about us. We ate in the hotel on the Friday evening and enjoyed the live music and lovely food….highly recommended!

Lovely location the church bells can be very noisy.

We paid £10 each for breakfast, The Kirky, which was delicious and came with hot beverages and also included access to the various options of cereals, fruit, juices etc. The garden seating area at the rear is beautifully set out. The location was perfect - 10 min walk from the train station to the Kirkfield. We were also attending Haydock Park races, which took10 mins in a taxi and cost £10.

Maybe breakfast included in the deal but I assume that other deals do include breakfast, so not complaining really, just struggling to find something negative to say
