We had a lovely week at the little vicarage . Nicky was so helpful and we had everything we needed. She gets the balance right of being friendly and available and also leaving you to it. The garden is beautiful with so many birds and so much space. It’s beautifully maintained. The kids loved playing with Nicky’s border collies and meeting the horses in the neighbouring field. There are lots of lovely walks from the doorstep and a really good guide to these in the house. Thor’s cave and whetton mill were great. Beds were comfy. Easy to get to dovedale, youlgreave and we also enjoyed peak wildlife park. Thanks again for an amazing and relaxing holiday.

Great location for walking from the doorstep. Really lovely, well equipped cottage with good beds and bathroom . The host was easy to communicate with and made us very welcome , we would thoroughly recommend the cottage.

We had a really fantastic week at the Little Vicarage cottage. Our host, Nicky was very helpful and looked after us well.The cottage itself is great, just the right size for four people and equipped with everything you need. It was immaculately clean and very cosy, we felt right at home staying there. There is a nice patio with a table, umbrella and chairs where we enjoyed a sunny afternoon. There is also a large garden that the cottage guests can use as well.The cottage is located in a lovely little village in the Peak District with many sites, such as Islam Hall and the Dovedale Stepping Stones, even within walking distance. Many other sites are reachable within a 30 minutes car drive.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage and hope to return there to stay in the Peak District again some time in the future.

Everything we needed and so much more. A perfect cottage to come 'home' to after wonderful days exploring the fabulous Peak District and no need to go far with beautiful walks on the doorstep and a great pub moments away. In fact no need to go anywhere at all! Relax in the lovely garden, play with Maisie the dog or BBQ your dinner on the private patio.. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well appointed with spacious bedrooms, comfy beds, plenty of storage and a great shower. Nicky and Chris made us feel so welcome and Nicky's fresh flowers, home made cake and jam with freshly baked bread were delightful!
