We stayed at the apartment for one week over Easter. Iris, the owner, was very lovely and even brought us cake and easter chocolate. We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was quiet (dead end road), clean and there was everything we needed. The view across the harbour is really great. There is a supermarket just a few minutes down the street with everything you need. With the bus stopps nearby you can take the local busses which take you to the old town conveniently. We also enjoyed the walking trail around the peninsula Babin Kuk which was accessible through stairs almost next to the apartment. We recommend this place.

A friend and I stayed here for a week and we really enjoyed our stay. Iris could not have been more helpful. The small supermarket is close by as it the bus into the Old Town. At first I thought we were too far out but that was not the case at all. The bus took only about 10 minutes to deposit us in front of Pile Gate. The apartment is modern, comfortable and well equipped. I would happily spend time there again. Okay, there are a few flights of stairs to get to it but, without them, you wouldn't have the view.

Stayed for 12 days Iris arranged taxi and he was there even though our flight was an hour late. Iris greeted us with some homemade drinks & marmalades all very nice. If we needed anything we only had to ask & she would help. The place is much bigger than it looks great views across the harbour of the cruise ships. Very clean & tidy place. Copacabana beach was nice with bar & nice food and music. Cave bar & Lapad beach nice with bars and restaurants Buono good with large portions. Mini market down street & bus stop close. Very peaceful area. Iris arranged our taxi to airport & her son helped us with bags. Had a great time here.

Just returned from 7 night stay in this beautiful apartment. Everything about it was 5*. Firstly we received a warm welcome from Iris's daughter in law and although she mentioned that it was her first time greeting guests she was warm and friendly and pointed out all we needed to know about the apartment and surrounding area. Iris organised taxi pick up from airport which was really helpful, taxi driver pointed out places of interest en route. Everything was exceptionally clean and spacious with plenty of storage to unpack all your holiday items. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Great location with short walk to Copacbana Beach along beautiful waterfront, supermarket only 2 mins walks and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The best point was the amazing view from the balcony overlooking Gruz Harbour. It was simply stunning, interesting watching the cruise ships come and go and beautifully lit up when the sun went down. It was well worth staying in Lapad away from the crowds of the Old City, it was peaceful and relaxing at the end of the day. Things we would recommend to do: Walk of the city walls, (we left this until after 5pm after the crowds of the cruise ships left the Old Town otherwise it would have been crazy). Trip to Lokrum Island, a peaceful getaway from the Old Town and beautiful clear waters ideal for swimming. Dubrovnik Buggy Safari, an exciting buggy ride on rough terrain, prepare to have fun and get dirty, informative guide and amazing views. Dubrovnik is a truly beautiful town and everyone was so friendly, would definitely recommend it in a heart beat! Miss it already!

Our first visit to Croatia certainly didn't disappoint! Iris was so helpful during the easy booking process, and arranged airport transfers for us so we felt relaxed as soon as we landed. The apartment is just as the photos show - clean, well equipped and comfortable for a family of 4. Terrace is perfect size, with shade and a good view of the cruise ships! Iris was an excellent and friendly host and her home made liquer and preserves were a lovely gift as well as fresh figs from her garden. Everything is within walking distance - super beaches (we found 'Solitudo' perfect and swam every day), clear sea, supermarket at the end of the street and loads of restaurants (Madonna worth a visit - opposite hotel Lapad) all very affordable. There are hills and steps but we all enjoyed our walks back in the evening and helped to burn off some of the calories from our delicious meals out. The Old city is only 10 minutes by bus - easy journey and cheap. Still things left to do so we'd love to come back and have already recommended this apartment to our family. Thank you Iris!

We are a family of five from Finland and were lucky to get this apartment in July 2014. Weather was just perfect for us (not too hot and not too rainy). Adults were very happy with the nice view to the harbour and kids enjoyed the beaches of Lapad. Good location! Shop was close by and there were some basic things in the kitchen already. Warm thanks to Iris and family, maybe we'll come again some day. :-)

We rented this apartment for a short stay in July 2014. The landlady was prompt and helpful in her email communications and was there to welcome us when we arrived with a glass of delicious mint lemonade, but allowed us our full privacy after that. We loved the apartment, which is lovely inside, with two attic-style bedrooms, a good kitchen, excellent bathroom and a spacious living area. The best thing of all was the balcony terrace with spectacular views of the harbour and mountains behind. We enjoyed sitting in the sun and watching the cruise ships come in and out. The location is excellent - in a quiet street but only a short walk from a small supermarket and restaurants, as well as the bus to the old town. I would happily have stayed much longer.

When we arrived we were greeted by Iris as friends. Iris welcomed us to Croatia and shared with us homemade marmalade , mint iced water and a local beverage. She was very helpful as well in showing us the many beautiful places to visit and also where to eat. Apartment was spotlessly clean with air condition throughout - the views from the balcony are spectacular. I would highly recommend apartment for anyone planning on visiting Dubrovnik. Apartment Iris is a charming, modern and lovely apartment! It was fully equipped, new and clean and had a lovely terrace with a fantastic view of the harbour. We enjoyed looking at the cruiseships coming in every morning while drinking coffe in the sun! The apartment is situated in a nice and quiet area not far from the sea and a few minutes walk from "home" we could go swimming! Lapad Center and Uvala bay was within 10 minutes of walking distance and the old city of Dubrovnik 45 minutes away - a very nice walking tour! Iris, the host, was very nice and helpful! She met us on our arrival with a welcome drink and also brought us home made fruitcake! We highly recommend the apartment - we also want to go back some day!

From the moment we arrived in Dubrovnik, we knew this was a fantastic place for a holiday, our host Iris gave us good directions, and a parking place for our hire car, the apartment was absolutely perfect for us, everything was as described, all amenities there, including provisions in the fridge, Iris had homemade marmalade and roses liqueur on the dining room table which was delicious and very welcoming, she helped us with maps, places to go, nearby shops and restaurants, she instinctively saw my teenage boys and said where the nearest pizza place was!!! we spent a lot of time at Buono restaurant, recommend it. throughout our visit we had treats like fresh figs from the garden, our family were invited for a drink and fresh sardines, nothing was too much bother,the location was perfect for us, quite a few steps up, but we knew that because it was a rooftop apartment and was fine for us and the view was spectacular from the terrace overlooking gruz harbour with all the cruise ships coming by day and night, Dubrovnik was quite simply beautiful, very clean, tap water safe, a visit to the old town is a must see, we did a lot of water activities, from kayaking ,jetskiing, diving and swimming in the warm adriatic waters, we all agreed it was a fantastic holiday made better by the superb apartment and hospitality of Iris and her family, and would love to return in the future, we would definately return to this apartment again, first class

I've rented apartments throughout Europe and the U.S. and, without a doubt, staying at apartment Iris was the best rental experience I've had. The apartment is spotlessly clean. It is absolutely immaculate, from kitchen drawers to bathrooms to bed linens. In addition, it is very well appointed well beyond what I would expect for a vacation rental with food staples (coffee, salt, pepper, bowls and cutlery), appliances (electric kettles, ovens, microwave, stove top, clothes washing machine), and even toiletries. For us, with two small children, it was too far away from Old Town to walk. Luckily, there are two bus stops close by (Line 2.5 by the Pema market and Line 6 about 10 minutes away on foot). Be sure to ask Iris for better direction as these aren't well-marked and get off by the gas station near the harbor. Though it's a bit far from the beautiful walls of the Old Town, the La Pad neighborhood has its own charms. There are two lovely playgrounds on the pedestrian-only promenade and many excellent restaurants within an easy stroll. Iris is an excellent hostess and runs a tight ship. I felt like I was staying in a boutique hotel! Outstanding!

This was the first time my wife & I had visited Dubrovnik and it was the perfect experience from start to finish. We were welcomed by Iris who made us feel at home straight away! The apartment is just what we had hoped for - spotlessly clean, fantastic location and great views across to the ferry port. Iris is lovely and welcomed us in with a glass of refreshing home made fruit juice made from fresh fruit from her own garden. We will definateley return!!

We chose Iris apartment because Lapad seemd like a good area to stay with a small child. We picked this apartment from a web-site and the information it gave was clear and accurate, even pointing out possible drawbacks, so we were prepared for the steps, which turned out to be no real problem, even for my wife who has some restricted mobility. The photographs showed exactly what we got - no deceptive camera angles or tricks with lenses!Apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Iris, the owner, was a delight to meet; She and her family were really helpful and hospitable, welcoming us with gifts of some of her home made "goodies" and making sure we had everything we needed, including access to a fast and reliable wi-fi service. Our only problem was getting the TV to work on anything but the local channel, although sitting on the balcony watching the activity in the harbour was more interesting than most TV programmes. I would recommend bringing binoculars to watch the boats. The local supermarket is only 2or 3 minutes walk and has everything you need, even if you want to cook for yourself, including an extensive selection of local wines and freshly baked bread - and there are no language problems (except the wine labels). A 10 minute walk, will take you to the bus stop and the centre of Lapad, which has a good selection of cafes, restaurants and an excellent childrens' playground, which our 3 year old grand-daughter loved. The walk around the Lapad Peninsula (once you find your way down to it) offers some spectacular views. The local bus is cheap, frequent and easy to use, so trips to the Old City are no problem.

we are welcome with a tasty mint-lemon drink which is so refresh after a long journey from our home town. The apartment is decorated lovely and cozy with a great view at the balcony where we have our breakfast and enjoy the view and the sun. Everything is just like the web photos described. The apartment is not located in the old town but it's easy to reach by bus no 6 from old town. The bus is frequent and it's only a ten-minute ride. Then a 15 minute walk to the apartment. We enjoy the walk in the safe and quiet residential area which lead us away from the tourist crowd. A supermarket is just right around the corner. The beach is not far away. We take a 10-minute walk by the seaside to the beach in a morning. The apartment is the best during our stay in Croatia.

Apartment Iris was even better than we were expecting - it has a lovely balcony, spacious living area, well equipped kitchen & bathroom. It was immaculate! The location was fantastic too. A very quiet residential area overlooking the harbour only 5 minutes walk downhill to the closest supermarket and 2 minutes to a lovely coastal trail that leads to a small beach. It was a 10 minute walk to the nearest bus stop for Dubrovnik and 15 minute walk to the main taxi rank. Iris herself was very welcoming & friendly, she even arranged our airport transfers for us. 5 star service!
