Rocky Resort is a hidden gem in koh tao. Think old school thailand in the best way. Fan room, no hot water, super friendly people and a stunning location. Enjoy the sea breeze instead of AC. Knowing that people exist, that think they will like it but dont. It's not for everyone. Read the very accurate description, manage your expectations and don't give an unfair review later We stayed at an Bungalow directly at the sea. The beach is beautiful, The coral is mostly dead so snorkeling is better elsewhere,. Renting a scooter is a good choice.

For the price there was absolutely nothing to complain about.

STEEP STEPS DOWN TO THE PLACE!! They call it a resort, but it is not! 1pm checkin was advertised, but they did not let us check in at that time. We arrived to the property at 2:40pm and they told us to wait another 30/45 minutes until the room was ready. 500 Baht deposit was required too Bathroom didn’t make sense, with the toilet at the back of it so you had to walk through the wet room to get to the toilet The shower and bathroom water got flushed out into the ocean, which wasn’t hygienic nor clean. Destorying the sea life. HORRIBLE
