We spent 1 week in Doris's lovely loft apartment. It was convenient and within walking distance of the train station & bus station (5 minute walk), the farmers market & a grocery store, a 10 minute walk to the harbor. This apartment was perfectly located. It is a loft apartment & there is no elevator in the building so it's 58 steps up to the apartment. Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water, AC worked well, internet was fast and the kitchen was well stocked. Doris was a very gracious & generous host. Thank you Doris for all the nice goodies you left for us including homemade jam. I have stayed in many apartments that this apartment was the best well stocked apartment that I have ever stayed in. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

This was a beautiful place to stay in Cascais. It had a terrific layout for families and all the amenities you’d want for a beach vacation. It’s steps away from great restaurants, the beach, and the train to get into Lisbon. And Doris was friendly and always accessible - she even went out her way to get us a ring my daughter left behind. If this apartment meets your space needs, look no further.

We could not have been more impressed with Doris's beautiful home. It provided us with the perfect romantic nesting place for celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. The top floor location felt secluded enough in the busy city of Cascais, but we also felt close to all of the action. The temperatures during our stay were seasonably warm, but the AC units kept the home cool and comfortable. We truly appreciated Doris's special touches to help us feel more at home, as she had stocked the kitchen with basic amenities including fruit, milk (including nondairy), and a lovely bottle of local wine. We were sad to leave!! Would absolutely stay again if we ever have the chance. Thank you for your hospitality, Doris!

You simply will not find a more cozy, charming, well-stocked, clean, conveniently-located home anywhere in Cascais! And as far as hosts go—- DORIS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I felt like I was staying at the home of a close friend because Doris was so invested in my happiness as her guest. Pre- arrival communication was clear, helpful, and friendly. And during my stay, I texted her several times with various questions about Cascais and she was always happy to help. We even met for coffee! Our return home was delayed by a day when my son got a bad stomach virus. I felt completely supported and cared for by Doris at a time when I would have otherwise felt quite stressed. She’s just so genuinely kind! I should also offer details about my experience in the loft itself. I LOVED the decor— especially the turquoise in the master bedroom. And the slanted ceilings and skylights throughout. It’s VERY spacious. Quite long from one end to the other. And all the rooms have more places to store your belongings than you could ever use. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. And Doris left some welcome goodies so I felt right at home the moment I arrived. I couldn’t wait to come back to the loft at the end of the day where I felt perfectly content in every way. And the beds are soooo comfortable. The terrace is a bonus. We watched New Years fireworks out there and it was magical. The train is about a five minute easy walk. And it runs all day taking you right to Lisbon in about 35 minutes.. So easy and inexpensive too!! My favorite part of staying in Cascais was the promenade between Cascais and Estoril that goes all along the water. You can begin right behind the train station. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful! Anyone who enjoys a morning run or walk will be in heaven. The loft is also in easy walking distance to every type of restaurant. My favorites were Hifen and Your Healthy Kitchen and El Caminito (best meal of the stay was at El Caminito suggested by Doris! The Argentinian steaks are to die for!). We also rode the Ferris wheel and enjoyed the Christmas markets just a block or two away. I can’t say enough about the perfection of my stay in the Cascais Loft and my host, Doris. She really cares about her guests’ experiences and you will feel it the moment you walk in. You will feel spoiled by the amount of space and the surroundings and the ease with which you can do anything you like. This is the best VRBO experience I ever had!

Wonderful stay! Four of us. Location was very close to the train which was nice. Doris was very communicative and helped us find the place when our maps didn’t quite get us there. Such a great place!

The train station is a 5 minute walk and 30-40 minute ride to Lisbon and connecting to many of the beautiful beaches in between including to Belem to the monastery and other sites. Plus a short ride to Sinatra and Colares. But Cascais is simply beautiful with walking to all you need, beaches, restaurants, bars, and farmers market with great wine, food, etc just across the street. The home is so well equipped, in fact, the kitchen is better equipped than ours! The loft is at the top so you have to walk up a few flights of stairs and it is a calming and lovely place to visit and rest. It has a nice balcony. It has plenty of windows to open up for refreshing breeze. And Doris is the best host. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was smooth and wonderful. I can't recommend staying here enough!

It was perfect in every way...friendly helpful hostess, accommodation spotlessly clean, well-equipped, in a central location and ideal for our family group ranging in age from 3 to 74! Although there were a lot of stairs to climb it was well worth the effort - we can thoroughly recommend this apartment.
