Fantastic property and an even better host. Host was very helpful.

Loved the atmosphere and the location. We enjoyed our cup of coffee in bed every morning while watching the birds from our windows and open doors.

The wifi was not working from our rooms and there isn't really a good place to enjoy it. We used our sim cards for internet 90% of the time.

Very nice Cabanas in central Cafayate, we had the whole compound on our own (8 units).

It is an amazing and relaxed place to stay. After weeks of traveling this place finally felt like a proper summer holiday. The location is perfect and close to the main square and the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. A nice breakfast was waiting for us outside of the cabaña every morning. We would have love to stayed longer if possible.

I am writing this review for the English readers out there. I travelled alone through Argentina on a seven week holiday. I was a little unsure of Yamasu Huasi on booking because I couldn't get a clear idea of what it is. It is four, small, two-storey white-rendered apartment blocks with attractive architecture, well maintained, with nice gardens (not at their brightest for my winter stay). There is a pool and outdoor lounge area at the rear of the apartments and on-site parking. The whole site has a pleasant ambience. Miguel, the host, lives on-site and is a lovely man, with little English to match my little Spanish, but we communicated ok. He is very responsive to any requests for assistance. I had the best apartment, on the first floor at the front with a spacious terrace and views of the mountains. The room was big enough for two people to be comfortable and is well maintained. There is a stove, microwave and fridge, a table with two chairs. It is only a few minutes walk to the town square, and is very quiet at night. On my last day I asked Miguel to book me a taxi to take me to the bus station, instead he kindly drove me there. You will enjoy staying at Yamasu Huasi. You can pay by credit card which is a bonus in Argentina for foreign travellers.

There was a problem with the hot water tap in the shower, with the valve sticking in its seat and no water coming out. Miguel fixed it on three occasions but a permanent solution (replace the tap) was/is required - this was a small issue, but inconvenient at the time. When booking, the quoted prices on booking.com were ambiguous as to whether they included the 21% VAT - they didn't. The included breakfast, delivered to the outside of the apartment, was very basic and could be improved upon.
