My family (a couple with adult son and his girlfriend, three grandparents, and a dog) had a wonderful week at the cove! While the house itself seemingly hasn't been updated since it's construction in the mid 80s (aside from appliances), it is on a spectacular piece of property with awesome water views and in a great location between St. Michaels and Tilghman Island. The house was definitely large enough that we had plenty of space to spread out, and we really enjoyed the pool. The bedrooms are all very bright in the morning, so sleep masks would help if someone would prefer to sleep in. Also, there could be more blankets in the bedrooms, as most just had a top sheet and a thin coverlet. Overall, I'd rent this property again just because of the property and location.

This property is a dream for a family--large house with plenty of room, beautiful location on Dunn Cove and a great pool. The house really has two parts which are complete in themselves with each having a kitchen and laundry. This allowed for my family members to have both privacy and together time. The furnishings are nice and appropriate for a vacation home without being fussy. The larger kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. Because it is nearly on Tilghman Island, you do have to drive to get groceries so planning ahead was important. There are a few fun places to eat on Tilghman Island and many in St. Michaels. With the cove and the pool, we found that we had to extremely vigilant with our many young (4 under 4) kiddos. The response from the "host" was excellent. After one of the 4 year old locked themselves in a bedroom, Barbara F was there immediately to help and solve our problem.

We had a fantastic 4-day stay at the Cove, with four generations all together. I can't say enough nice things about this house!The home was spotless and well equipped. Beds and bathrooms were very comfortable. Common areas like the living rooom(s) and dining areas were very nicely furnished and had plenty of room for everyone to do their thing.The waterside setting was beautiful. We enjoyed four incredible sunrises, lounged on the deck and the screened porch, and of course the pool was wonderful.I hope we can come again someday. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! I can't express how beautiful the house and pool was the pictures don't do it justice. We had a range from a 5 year old to 60 and there was plenty of privacy when needed. The kids loved the basketball court. We wish we could have utilized the yard more but the grass was pretty high,when we got there. When we mentioned it to the property manager right away she stopped by and thought it wasn't bad and would try to get someone out. They wound up coming on Fri when we had already been there for 5 days, and they were cutting the neighbor's house as well. So I guess they weren't able to come out any sooner. So when your kids are complaining or running through the grass as fast as they can because it's itchy on there legs. It makes them not want to go outside.We are an outdoors family and work a lot and wanted a retreat. When we went to the dock for our boat it was covered in bird dropping no place to even grab without touching droppings. We found a hose on the side of the house which was great, long enough to wash down the long beautiful dock,just seemed neglected. I did reach out to property manager the same time about the grass about a hose. She bought another hose for the dock the next day and was told to put back the other for the pool service. The towns close by were very cute and people were very nice. Other than the property manager coming at 10am when we were cleaning up when our check out was 11am which is listed on the site and in the book that she referenced 3xs during our stay.Telling us "ok let's go, I have the cleaning crew coming your suppose to be out by 10am". I felt it was very rude and intrusive, in front of my in- laws and children. Again we work hard and wanted a retreat felt interrupted during our week with the property manager,pool service in the middle of the day and grass being cut again in the middle of another day. And then the manager coming an hour earlier pushing us out the door. And mind you we were just finishing up dishing and was packed up ready to leave for 11 not 10.
