Haustierfreundlich mit einer nicht erstattbaren Gebühr von $ 115 pro Haustier. Best 2 weeks of my life. We will return. Everyone including our dog had a wonderful vacation. The island is perfect for vacation.

Jack’s Shack was wonderful, the houses location is great. The house sits on the bayside right across the street from the gulf. It has a wrap around porch that you can sit on the back and enjoy the bay or you can sit out front and enjoy the gulf. When we first arrived we realized the air conditioner wasn’t working contacted ACP, they sent someone right out to check it out was decided that the air conditioner would have to be replaced they gave us another rental for the night. They replaced the air conditioner the next day and we enjoyed the rest of our vacation at Jack’s Shack. We had such an amazing experience with ACP and loved the house so much we have already booked it again for next year.

This was our second visit to the island. This house had plenty of room for my wife and I and our two daughters and their two friends.
The property manager was very responsive when I texted on Sunday morning about a broken coffee maker. They had one set outside the main office within the hour for us to pick up.
The boardwalk is nice down to a good sized beach area. They are currently adding a pier and boat dock, which was being worked on while we were there, but this didn’t have an impact on the stay. The workers added a ramp and path from current boardwalk so that we could still get to the beach after they had to remove the temporary stairs.
One reason we choose this house was for the pool and it did not disappoint. It was good to have the option during the day for those done at the beach. Night swimming is always a plus too.
This house is in a great location on the sound side of the island for that quite secluded feeling.

Disappointments ---------
The picture of Jacks Shack shows mowed yard, but it had not been mowed in a while with lots of weeds everywhere. Had to walk through some tall grass/weeds to the stairs both front and back.
The white deck and stairs needed a coat of paint, the picture on the site showed it was looking perfect, with looks like new paint, but paint needed badly.
Pulled up Saturday to a old grill near the front parking area and another old grill under the house. Just some basic housekeeping needed. And perhaps I might be a little picky, just wasn't quite up to the standards we have been used to in past years in Gulf Shores and Fort Morgan. The great news is that everyone had a good time.

We would love to stay here again in a heart beat!!! Breathtaking views from every foot of the wrap around porch. It was like our own little piece of paradise. Check in and check out were easy and communication was wonderful!! We loved our stay!!

Working with ACP was great. They were very responsive and helpful when needed. The house location was perfect. Access to both beaches was fantastic. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. Will definitely rent Jack's Shack again!

We arrived on a Saturday night and felt right at home - even the teenage girl was impressed! The home was well stocked with everything you may need. It is bright and clean and the views were breathtaking. We were able to watch a pod of dolphins play in the bay from the back porch! We love Jack’s Shack!

Jacks shack is beautiful. I like the non commercial aspect. No signs, water slides or putput golf lol. Enjoyed the beach and biking.

Jack’s Shack
We had a wonderful time staying at Jack’s shack. The inside of the house was very clean and surprisingly roomy. We loved the location and being so close to both the bay and gulf sides. We also liked having a pool on the deck. The only thing that might need some improvements is the decking (especially down to the water.) There were some boards with nails sticking up underneath the decking. It looks like all the waste was just thrown down on the ground under the house. Other than that, we loved it and had a fabulous time!

COVID Getaway
This trip was the perfect opportunity to get away and stay safe during COVID! We didn't have to come within 50 yards (let alone 6 ft) of anyone during this trip. We basically had our own beach and were able to enjoy the water and sunshine worry-free. The dogs had a blast chasing all the birds and running up and down the beach. The house was clean and comfortable and fully stocked. We much appreciated the beach chairs (which of course I had forgotten to pack) as well as all of the kitchen tools! The rental process was easy and stress-free. The house has a heartwarming backstory, comforting atmosphere, and we can definitely see ourselves returning in the future!

Never wanted to leave
When it seems like life is full of chaos and heartache (thanks 2020!) we decided on a last minute trip to pause and breathe. We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect destination, and the house was everything we could have asked for. Plenty of room and the house had all the amenities you could ask for. We will definitely stay here again!

Good trip
One thing I really like to complain is mosquitoes, too many there, I think you need to do some treatment for the renters, also, grass was not cut, besides that, all good, we will try again next year.

Wonderful place
This place is amazing. It was a perfect setup for my family of 6 adults (3 couples) and an infant. There was plenty of seating at the table and in the living area. The pool was great, new decking and boardwalk to the bay area was very nice. The ammenities were great. They even have a wagon to hall stuff to the beach. We will definitely go back especially since our trip was cut short due to hurricanes Laura and Marco. Bad timing on our part. The staff at ACP property management were very nice to work with.

Relaxing vacation
We LOVED the house. So homey, bright, beautiful. The views from windows were fabulous. At night on the porch that wraps around house, we could chill and hear, see the waves with a full moon shining on the ocean. The private pool was great- so intimate for couples. Our only complaint was that the foliage/natural bushes, weeds, needed to be weeded and trimmed down. All in all we loved Jack's Shack.

My family will never stay here again
I have to say this was the worst vacation my family and I have ever had. The check in people were very rude, slammed the window in my face and made an "oh my gosh" statement when she thought I could not hear her. The main door to the back deck was broken when all it would have taken was a trip to Lowes to get a new door knob set to fix it. Everyone had to go through the master bedroom the front door never locked! There was sand in ALL the beds the wifi did not work. The ladder was broken my grandmother flipped it over on top of herself getting in the pool. That also could have been prevented by a trip to Lowes. Needless to say we will NEVER use ACP ever again! Very disappointed in our stay.

Great stay!
The girls at the office were wonderful when we checked in. Very friendly and gave us great advise on where to eat and things to do. The house itself was more than we could have imagined! We had the perfect view of the magnificent sunrise and sunset every day!! It was definitely home away from home. We highly recommend Jack's Shack. We hope to be back next year!

Awesome family vacation
Amazing place and a very beautiful and spacious house. Our children and grand babies loved the having a private pool. We really enjoyed our vacation and fishing on the bay side behind the house. Only thing that would make this property better would be a clearer path to the bay.

Spring break in heaven!
Our trip was beyond amazing. Uncle Jack’s Shack was more beautiful and amazing than we expected. We cannot wait to plan our next trip there. The white sand, the amazing amenities of the house, the cleanliness and efficiency of the rental agency, and all the little “extras” just made this much needed spring break get away so special!!!!!

Very nice vacation home! Loved sitting on the porches with my grandmother watching the waves roll in. Kids enjoyed both the bay and the beach, as well as the pool. Only complaint is grass over grown making the trek to the bay a little difficult for our grandmother. Will definitely come back for another family vacation to Jack's Shack!

The Perfect Spot on Dauphin Island
We love Jack's Shack! It's our home away from home on Dauphin Island. The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice. If you're looking for a place to relax with family, friends and pets - this is the place! The location of the house makes you feel like you have the island to yourself. We like having access to both the Mississippi Sound and the gulf side. The den is a large open area and has windows that look out to the water, the back deck is perfect to watch sunsets and the pool is a nice perk! We can't bring ourselves to stay anywhere else on the Island!

Our Month on Dauphin Island
We have had a wonderful month on Dauphin Island at Jack's Shack. The house is spacious and beautiful. Any issues that we encountered were taken care of by the rental agency immediately. The beautiful art work done by the owner was and added bonus. If a person tires of the quite beauty of Dauphin Island, Mobile is 45 minutes away, New Orleans is 5 hours away. Jack's Shack made a nice home base to rest and recover from trips to both of these towns. Sunsets on the West End Beach were breathtaking. Ft. Gaines and the aquarium were very interesting and informative. Everyone on the island was very friendly...we were so happy we chose Dauphin Island over Gulf Shores. Dauphin Island is just a laid back town, bring books, games, swim suits and flip flops.

Had a great time. Thanks for not making this place seem like a rental! I hope it will always be as nice. We really enjoyed reading the guest book and the daily visit from the turtle!!!! Will come back next year as September is a beautiful time to visit!

Wonderful retreat! Tons of Wildlife and nature!!!
The place to go to really get away. Used to stay on 30-A & Destin but it was so crowded and had such a tourist trap atmosphere. This was really wonderful not having to deal with a bunch of people, rude kids, traffic. Beautiful, upscale beach house. Very surprised it was a rental as it had everything and more. The pool was great in the evening! Saw tons of different kinds of birds. Did I mention how quiet it was? Sat out and drank coffee in the morning and cocktails in the evening and you heard the waves and birds. Used the telescope which was cool! Have already booked for summer 2015!!!

LOVED LOVED LOVED!
We have stayed at Jack's Shack twice now and had the best time ever, one week in July and one week in the fall! Wonderful accommodation's and the beds were super comfy! We loved being able to let the kids swim in the pool and drink our coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. We also enjoyed walking down the driveway and having the gulf ocean and beach access right there!!!! We didn't know it was going to be so close!!!! Not sure what medication that previous poster who reviewed this place is on but we didn't see any bugs except for some pesky 'no-see-em' outside. We used some avon skin so soft and they didn't bother us anymore. We will definitely be booking again!

I do not like to share rentals with roaches....
Let me say that the house is a beautiful home and we booked it because of this due to seeing pictures! The cleanliness of this home looked fine, until the roaches came out and we seen that the home was infested with them. We seen over 60 or more roaches in 3 days, and the 3rd day we couldn't take it anymore and cut our vacation short and left 4 days early. We were suppose to stay a week but couldn't handle the roach infestation. Roaches crawling in the master bed wasn't pleasant waking up to nor cooking and roaches crawling on your food. If the critters were not there, then this would have been a wonderful place to stay with great views and a nice swimming pool with lovely views of the sound. I understand 1 or 2 bugs, but not as many as we had to encounter. It was not something that I am use to and I didn't appreciate it at all.
