It gave us a real getaway. We couldn’t get phone calls or messages out or the tv’s to work but that was ok. We didn’t call for any help. We unplugged and just talked and laughed. It is clean and quiet and close to actives and shopping.

This was a beautiful location, but the driveway was a small hassle. We had to pull down a steep drive then go back and forth several times, to get one car in so there was room for the second. The house itself was as advertised with great decks, but the view needs to be cleared in order to see the lake. Plenty of space as advertised and plenty of supplies (paper towels, trash bags, tissue paper) to get us started. It is an older home and could use a thorough cleaning of kitchen cabinets, but over all we enjoyed our stay with lake access and plenty of things to do in surrounding areas. We really enjoyed taking the grandkids to The Cresent Hotel (haunted) for lunch and their pizza was delicious. The Terpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge tour was amazing and was a big hit as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would use VRBO again.

property was good...small drivemay made parking for 2 cars a bit challenging...web site with 29 photos showed a dock,,,,no dock to be found fishing was good grandkids had a ton of fun swimming in the lake...no lions tigers or bears oh my..guess we wasnt in kansas anymore rated 4.5

Had issue with heat pump when we arrived. Maintenance was out within hour and had it fixed. However, the heat pump does seem to be too small for this house as it had hard time keeping it warm after dark. House is well stocked with dishware, cookware, and towels. Parking is a challenge and front wheel drive and/ or small vehicles may have serious issues getting in and out steep incline of drive. There is no turn around, so it's either back in or back out uphill. Those are only issues we had with property. It was a wonderful place to host Thanksgiving with our children.

This house can sleep 9 people on beds and has a great view off the back porch. While the house location is great and is a nice home, we had our 1st negative experience with a VRBO. Every VRBO may have 1 or 2 glitches, but there were so many here - it became frustrating. I submitted a review to the management first for them to be able to respond before giving a review here. That has been 3 weeks ago with no response - so...below is my review: 1. Upon arrival, the walk way (un-level stone steps down to the deck) were so covered in leaves, we tripped not seeing the stones. 2. The deck walkway leading to the front door was shin deep in leaves. Unloading, we tracked in a livingroom full of leaves along with wind blowing some in while the door was open - creating much labor to remove 3.Outside table was not cleaned off & had left over food on it 4.Screens on sliding doors were off & leaned up against deck railing & had to put flat on deck to keep from blowing around, plus one door has to be lifted to open 5. Many bulbs were burnt out 6.Went to find extra bulbs that were above washer and dryer. In opening the collapsable door, it came totally out of the guides, & was difficult to get it back in the guides. It did this every time, even being aware that it would 7. Couldn't get the TV to work. 8. The DVD player would not work 9. The boom box (radio, cassette, cd player) The CD player would not work. 10. Upstairs shower handle and cold water handle fell off when turning. 11. No mop to clean up spills 12. Kitchen sink faucet was loose and the sprayer was useless 13. No curtains in downstairs bedroom sliding door to deck that is facing the neighbors deck/windows in which they did look in a few times - Couldn't dress without hiding in a corner 14. Fireplace was full of ashes & bugs - once you open the door, couldn't shut it because lever for the flue was bent & had to get a knife to hold it up to shut - front glass door was black with soot & could easily be wiped off AND there was no firewood. 15 The weber grill doesn't look like it has ever been cleaned. 16. 3 sales calls on the land line. I'll stop there - don't have enough characters remaining - but there were about 5 other small details you would normally overlook, but start to bother you when so many things were going wrong. Notes to consider (not complaints) hard to get out of steep gravel driveway (no motorcycles) - kitchen is well stocked but has very small skillets (2) - the pan you use the most.
