Luciano es un anfitrión muy especial, un encanto. La casita estaba originalmente escavada en la roca, ahora es cómoda, limpia, tranquila y súper bien situada para descubrir Matera.

Ancient Charm Meets Modern Comfort – The Ideal Matera Stay! This is truly a special place! We were searching for the authentic Matera experience—a home built into the mountain, like a cave—but didn't want to sacrifice modern amenities, and certainly not at a ridiculous price. This home perfectly balances the ancient and the attractive. It is beautifully maintained and well-appointed, yet it retains that wonderful, old-world cave atmosphere that lets you sense what life was like in ancient times. It was far from "too rustic"—it was perfect! And then there is the host: Luciano is a treasure. He is warm, friendly, lovable, and genuinely embodies Italian hospitality. We only stayed for one night, but we connected so quickly. Leaving felt like saying goodbye to a dear, old friend we hope to see again soon. In sum: The home is lovely, the price is great, and Luciano is simply unforgettable.

Could not have been better.

It is in a very good location. Like - really good. On the door step of old town without all its inconvenience. You literally walk 10 meters and you there and dont need to carry your suitcases over 1000 stairs of the old town You also get to experience traditional italian living on the ground floor, which is interesting in itself. (Good interesting) Small note to light sleepers - its is next to small italian restaurant, so they talk :) but finish around 12:00, so that was not a problem for us

The main issue we had with a property was how DIRTY it was.... apart from bed linnen and towels. Those were clean. But the rest.... i literraly had to clean the outside doors of ridve and its nadle just to be able to touch it. its hard to even comprehend these days someone could rent a place of this state. Mold and dirt and greece. No coffee, no jams, not even a big kitchen knife to cut something.... We were totally amazed not in a good way Place could be a great airbnb, if cleaning issues were sorted
