This house is wonderful! It can heal your soul! It speaks of genuine Caribbean comfort, maritime and provides full immersion in great design and understated luxury . Spaces indoors and outside flow from one to another seamlessly, surprising with new wonderful view of the bay or new openness and ease. Warm light winds flow through the house when sliding doors and windows are opened. The views from all spaces are wonderful. Sylvie and Antoine are great hosts, they have provided everything one can think of so that guests feel at home. They are also very easy to reach and quick to respond. We highly recommend this house and hosts and are planning to come back again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Antoine and Sylvie's property. The pictures and descriptions are completely accurate. The home has a beautiful view and is uniquely and beautifully designed and decorated. Whether you want a sunny or shady spot, a breezy or calm spot, there is a comfortable place for you to relax on the outdoor terraces or within the home. Everything was immaculately clean and well stocked for our stay - we didn't come across anything else that we needed (although it took us a while to find the cutlery drawer :) ). You will not be disappointed!! This was our first visit to Saint Martin and will not be our last - such a beautiful island with lots of things to do. We look forward to the opportunity to stay at l'ancre bleu again!

This villa is perfect for a family or group of friends. The location is great, near Super U grocery store and a great French Bakery. We ate dinner many nights in Grand Case, about 10 minutes away. Antoine and Sylvie could not be more gracious hosts! They were there and willing to help anytime we needed them and were always kind. Very interesting to talk with as well! The house has very comfortable beds, the bathrooms and shower have a great set up. The kitchen has just about anything you could want. We made many meals there and ate outside with the beautiful view. We spent many days just lounging on the many lounge areas reading, napping, and just hanging out with the family. Probably the most relaxing vacation ever! We did take the kayaks out to Pinel Island and it was a lot of fun! This time of year you'll want to use bug spray and the mosquito netting. If we ever return to St. Maartin, we would stay here for sure!

The property was everything described and more. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped to prepare meals when we chose to dine in. The indoor/outdoor living areas brought island life to the forefront and along with a nice dipping pool, constant breezes, and beautiful views, made our stay memorable. Our hosts were friendly and attentive without being instrusive. We would definitely stay again!

We had constant contact with the property owners leading up to the trip which helped to ease my anxiety about traveling to a new country. I also wanted to pack light and Sylvie updated me along the way about things she already had on hand that I need not bring. The owners were easy to contact and were helpful in answering any questions we had. Arriving on the island Antoine and Sylvie met us at the villa and gave us a tour of the property which made the process of getting settled in very comfortable. Thanks to them we knew upfront about activities and places to visit and the local hours of shops like the pharmacy and grocery store. The villa was also in a very convenient spot ne close to everything. A personal touch of leaving us juice and breakfast items in the fridge was very special. The villa itself was an absolute dream. The decor was coastal and the floor plan was airy and open. We felt so connected with the island here. The view from the villa is magical. Pinel Island across the harbor and the ocean beyond was something to behold as we sat on the porch enjoying coffee, meals, cocktails, etc. We also enjoyed the use of the kayak. The kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals including a French press and Nespresso machine for coffee. The pool was very nice and relaxing as was the view. One favorite pastime was feeding the birds cane sugar in a dish on the porch and watching iguanas sunning in the trees.

My wife and I have been coming to SXM for over 20 years but because of Irma and COVID, we have not had the chance to return to the island. We chose this house because of the location and the view but I did not realize until I arrived how lucky we were to have made this choice. Every room in the house has a fantastic view and with the openness of the layout you always feel connected to the outdoors. If you want a house that has still a Caribbean feel, you will love this place. If you want a view that takes your breath away, be ready as this one is wonderful. If you want hosts who know the island and are the nicest people, you won’t be disappointed. The only stress you will have is to decide what to do every day, go to Pinel (which you can see from the house), go the Orient Bay, go to Grand Case or spend the day on the Dutch side.

We knew we had made the right choice for our family vacation the second we arrived to see the stunning views of the bay and all the indoor and outdoor spaces to spread out or be together. Our hosts, Sylvie and Antoine could not have been more accommodating throughout our entire stay in their island home just a short kayak ride to Pinel Island. Before long we were sipping cocktails and planning ahead for what delicious dinners we would grill up with a view. Little birds would visit and dance around their sugar cube feeder which we replenished often. Cul-de-Sac’s location is ideal. Minutes to a very well stocked supermarket and bakery, a short ride to Grand Case and a hop to Orient Village restaurants and unique beach bars.. The outdoor and indoor lighting of the open-aired home was artful in and of itself. We spent our days lounging by the pool or exploring the beautiful beaches and colorful towns of St. Martin. All in all, our favorite times were spend right at the house or on Pinel Island where we had one of our most memorable meals. Thank you, Sylvie and Antoine for sharing your special home. It is clear that you painstakingly made each and every artful choice in decorating and accessorizing and it truly feels like a well-loved home. We hope to return again.

We came to St. Martin to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday. We all loved the house - the outdoor living space was amazing, the rooms and bathrooms were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The location of the house is great - especially for going to Pinel Island and Orient Beach. Grocery shopping was nearby. Antoine and Sylvie were perfect hosts and very prompt with helping us prior to and while we were staying at their home, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great trip. The only con (and it's minor) is that there is a direct view to the Pinel Island ferry parking lot from the house, but with amazing views of the ocean, it's easy to overlook it!

We were met by Sylvie and Antoine when we arrived and they were the best hosts. The house is just as beautiful as in the pictures and we had an unforgettable stay. We just hope we are able to come back again soon!

Absolutely beautiful villa, with amazing views. After years of traveling to St. Maarten we have found the ideal spot to relax and unwind. Antoine and Sylvie are wonderful hosts, and are always available when needed.

Wonderful property with great sunset views. The outside grill was great. We cooked steak and burgers. Outdoor deck and lighting created wonderful atmosphere at night. Hosts were great and very helpful. Close to beaches and many excellent restaurants. We used the Kayaks to go to Pinel Island. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Sylvie and Antoine's gorgeous property for a week and had the most relaxing time. Their home is beautifully decorated with breathtaking views of the bay. The pool is the perfect size for lounging in at sunset and the kids loved it too. The neighborhood is very quiet and the villa felt very secluded. It's a very "open air" place and there is always a breeze. I was very worried about the pool with our two young kids (1 and 3) but there is a very sturdy barrier that prevented them from having direct access to the pool. It's not really possible to see it in the pictures so thought I'd share that here. The villa is a short drive from a large grocery store and bakery, etc. We went there every morning for baguette and croissants. Sylvie and Antoine were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They had prepared a crib for the baby (complete with its own tiny mosquito net) and a potty for my toddler. They had basics for breakfast in the fridge to tide us over until we got groceries. They met us when we arrived and when we left and made sure we were well settled. We especially enjoyed having dinner out on the deck overlooking the bay and sitting in the pool for post-bedtime cocktails. I was worried about having to drive to be able to go the beach but there are several beautiful beaches that are only a very short drive away and it felt nice to "retreat" to our hillside villa afterwards. We hope to return someday!! Thank you again Sylvie and Antoine!!

Five stars are not enough to do this property justice. This is vacation heaven. The property is marvelous, very unique in style and decoration. Everything you need is available, a true home away from home. The owners are always available for any questions you might have, and there are plenty of recommendations what to do and where to go. If you look at the pictures and might think “is it too good to be true?” - go and find out. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a wonderful stay in Antoine and Silvie’s home. They were very gracious hosts and welcomed us and showed us around the home giving us valuable information on our stay. They were very accessible to answer questions during our stay. The rental was as pictured. We traveled with myself, my husband and 2 teenagers. Each of the kids had their own bedroom and bathroom which was appreciated with teenagers. The home was stocked with anything we needed while visiting except of course that we made a run to the grocery store for some meals when we arrived but they did graciously leave some starter grocery items for breakfast and some beers which was very helpful the first day after travel. The bay had some algae that had come in and blemished the area a bit and they were scraping the beach to remove which was noisy and a bit messy but you can’t control Mother Nature and we made the best of it and still kayaked across to Pinel Island which was enjoyable and beautiful. Even amidst the algae the views were enjoyed and we really appreciated the open air breeze through the home and our time outdoors. We eagerly opened up the house every morning to enjoy our coffee. We had never stayed on St Martin before. We rented a car and explored the island each day visiting a different beach or activity. The things we enjoyed most were the villa we stayed in, kayaking to Pinel Island, Mullet Bay Beach, sunset horseback riding and the Rainforest Zip Lining. We did find that more of the activities we preferred were on the Dutch side of the Island but appreciated that staying on the French side promoted opportunities to explore everywhere around the Island and we really enjoyed the villa and proximity to Pinel Island. We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone considering a stay on the French side of St. Martin and would love to stay again. Antoine and Silvie are very wonderful hosts and you will not be disappointed surely.

When we first arrived, we were greeted by the owners Antoine and Sylvie. They gave us a detailed tour of the house, lay of the land, and a list of must do’s on the island. You can tell right away that Antoine and Sylvie take great pride in their house and greatly enjoy sharing it with their guest. The were available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns and proved very helpful finding a place to get our COVID test for re-entry. At the time of our visit, the French Red Cross was giving this for free and the location was less than a five minute drive from the house. The house is very well stocked, we needed noting other than groceries to start out vacation. Since this is their home, the kitchen already had such things as salt, pepper, butter, spices, etc. Antonie even had a six pack of Carib beer in the fridge to kick start our vacation. The bedrooms are exactly as pictured and the beds are very comfortable. Each has it’s own AC unit which we only used at night. The whole house is open air style and with the trade winds the breeze was amazing. The house came with three kayaks which we used numerous times to trek over to Pinel island which is a very unique. Three restaurants, beach bars, and great sand. My wife and I discovered a great hike just across the street from the property. It takes you to the back side of the island, completely isolated and the scenery is amazing. Make sure to ask Antonie about it if that interest you. Finally, the highlight of out trip had to be the day we spent with Antonie and Sylvie on their 51’ catamaran. We sailed to a nearby island and spent the day snorkeling and exploring. We absolutely loved our stay - the home is outdoor island living at it's best. The covered outside deck area captures the breezes perfectly so you're never too hot. We "lived" outdoors - only coming inside to use the kitchen and to sleep. We just never tired of the view or the cozy comfort of the outdoor sofa/benches. The house is a beautiful and comfortable equipped with everything you might need in the kitchen and otherwise, including kayaks stored down by the water's edge. The wifi works great, as well. While only my husband and I visited, the house is plenty big enough for additional couples with enough outdoor covered seating as well as plenty of nice sun loungers and two covered outdoor dining tables. Antoine and Sylvie are perfect hosts and very, very responsive. We are planning on returning - just not sure if we intend to share this treasure or if we'll return alone! The tiny bananaquits and bullfinches who come looking to have their dish of sugar water refilled daily are just an added bonus to a beautiful spot in paradise

We very much enjoyed our stay and it exceeded our expectations. Wonderful, beachy feeling flowing floor plan with plenty of space. We always had the many sliding doors open with a wonderful breeze going throughout the house. Plenty of cooking utensils in the kitchen. Beautiful view of Pinel Island. Just a five minute drive to Orient Beach. Owners were always very responsive to our questions (thank you!). We are already planning on going back and would highly recommend to others!

We can’t thank Sylvie and Antoine enough for their beautiful house rental, it was everything the pictures emulate. We loved everything from the picturesque views to the use of the kayacks. We traveled with another couple and our 2 children ages 15 and 11, the very spacious villa gave us all our own privacy and bathrooms. The villa is full of character and charming design. Sylvie and Antoine were wonderful to deal with, so accommodating and friendly. I have to admit I was a little relieved their English was incredibly better than my futile French. This was our 3rd trip to St. Martin and this villa was our favourite thus far. We have always enjoyed the French side of the island and our experience was so effortless thanks to Sylvie and Antoine. We really can’t express how lovely our entire stay was, it was a truly exquisite week. The views are just breathtaking......words can’t do it justice. We had an amazing stay at Villa Blue Anchor. We've been traveling to St Maarten yearly for about twelve years. We have personally known Antoine and Sylvie for about ten of those years. My first visit to their villa was to see Antoine's studio and gallery to pick up the first of several original works of art. The layout and location of their villa was awe inspiring. It was always our dream to stay at such a beautiful place. We had been staying in beautiful hotels on the island in the past. By chance, I came across the listing for Villa Blue Anchor on VRBO and jumped at the chance to stay at the location that has inspired so many beautiful works of art. The villa was exceptional. The quintessential open floor plan you would expect in a tropical paradise. To wake up each morning to see the painted sunrise over Pinel Island was priceless. Antoine and Sylvie are exceptional hosts. The villa was immaculate and the kitchen was very well equipped. The villa perfectly blends with nature. One great features is mosquito netting over each of the beds. We slept soundly and safely with all of the doors and windows open. We certainly couldn't miss the tropical night breeze. The awesome decor and ambiance of the villa made it difficult to leave for our daytime and nighttime activities. This is a vacation spot not to be missed. We're already planning our return visit. One final note; Antoine Chapon's original oils and watercolors are shown in a gallery in Marigot, Escale des Iles (in front of the market). It is a wonderful gallery.

5 girlfriends stayed for a week in this beautiful home. The house is lovely and has a lot of great spaces to hang out, cook, gather, or get some quiet time. We enjoyed walking and exploring the restaurants in the neighborhood, taking the short drive to Palm and Oriental beach, and the highlight might have been the kayak to Pinel Island. Antoine and Sylvie were wonderful hosts and this is a great location!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed this lovely home with equally lovely owners. All that you could want- exceptionally clean, with gorgeous views and centrally located. A perfect oasis. Thank you Antoine and Sylvie for sharing.

We had a superb 7 days at Ancre Bleu. Antoine and Sylvie greeted us upon our arrival and showed us all the wonderful features of their beautiful home. The breakfast supplies were also greatly appreciated to get us through until the next day. We spent a lot of time relaxing at Ancre Bleu, with our two boys really enjoying splashing about in the pool. Living virtually outdoors 24/7 was a real treat, especially after escaping a miserable Canadian winter. The location of Ancre Bleu makes accessing St Martin's beaches and towns easy. We highly recommend walking to Petites Cayes, which takes about 50 minutes but is a wonderful cliff walk with a glorious beach at the end. Wear good shoes though as the end of the walk sees some shingle to navigate. Sylvie and Antoine are gracious hosts and lovely people. Antoine visited a couple of times to say hello and make sure all was well, which was much appreciated. We will be back, for sure! Thanks again for your hospitality, Antoine and Sylvie!

We had a wonderful and relaxing time at the beautiful Villa Ancre Bleu. We enjoyed lounging around the pool, had some wonderful meals at the well appointed house and spent time paddling around the bay. The house boasts beautiful views, it's private and quiet, so nice to come back to this oasis after a day out with other tourists. Great, fabulous and relaxing vacation. We loved the outdoor living spaces. Antoine and Sylvie are gracious hosts and were there to welcome us and see us off and make sure we had everything we need. If you're on the fence, don't wait, I would definitely recommend renting this house.
