The Strathcarron Hotel

Bit pricy

Freundliches Personal, unten gibt es ein cooles altes Lokal. Das Abendessen war gut.

Unbequemes wackeliges Bett, der Preis für die Übernachtung war zu hoch

Friendly hosts and good food

Very friendly staff, we were made to feel very welcome. The Hotel is in a lovely setting with great views down the loch (from my room at least !) Name settings with nationality flags at the tables for dining was also a lovely touch.

The decor is not to everyone's tastes, especially the dark colours used up the stairwells etc. Facilities in the room were very much on the basic side. No TV or radio for example and if WiFi is important to you, the signal in our rooms was "marginal" to say the least. One thing worthy of note, all the rooms have "combination" type locks for entry, whilst in itself, not a huge issue,, but the numbers on the locks are very small and hard to see. I have a Mother who is registered blind (although, she has a tiny bit of vision left) and I know for definite that she would be unable to use those locks. There is a also a security question, anyone who knows the number has access to the room .
