What a delightful rural feel to this getaway that was only a short drive to Town. My husband and I loved the brightness, soothing blue/aqua/white decor, cleanliness, and the rustic white-washed stone walls in the bedroom downstairs. It was lovely to have our lunch on the deck, overlooking the grass and pond - even had a neighbor's cow meander across the lawn one morning. Our hosts were always quick to respond to little questions we had both before and during our stay. We have already recommended the cottage to friends and hope to return some day. Many thanks!

Cute Cottage with distinctive touches. Loved the stone walled bedroom. The dehumidifier being on might be a problem for some but it muffled my snoring and allowed my wife to sleep better! Nicely stocked kitchen saved us a few bucks on eating out. Conveniently located near town but not too close to be overwhelmed with tourists. Great place to stay for the money on Block Island.

Karen and Glenn were very friendly. The cottage is small as clarified in the listing but perfect for my wife and me as a last minute vrbo. Great location for us, the property is quiet and very pretty, near the marina, close to town by car or bicycle.

The cottage is a dream! Beautiful location for a Restful vacation! Communication with Karen was easy and she was kind enough to let me move my reservation when life events came up. She also let us stow our bags at the house, and was overall so communicative and a lovely host. Don’t make our mistake though, and don’t forget your own towels and sheets! We cannot wait to be back to explore more.

This was a cute little cottage. Very clean. nice location near the pond. We were stranded here for 3 extra days because of the windy weather, but luckily the owners let us stay for a discounted rate.

This place was perfect for my husband and I for our honeymoon retreat! It was nice to be tucked in out of the busy town, and the private pond was just darling. It was peaceful and cozy, and the owners were so kindly available to us whenever we had any questions. Absolutely recommend this Vrbo.

I rented this home out for my parents, as they both hit a milestone birthday this year and I wanted to get them a trip to some place special. They'd never been to Block Island before, and this little getaway left a good impression on them! Check in was easy, they received a call to confirm when the place was ready. The space is *much* smaller than it seemed in the photos to me, though it is hard to portray the scale in photos. For me, and for my parents, it was a perfect size though. It packs so much convenience and light in that it doesn't feel cramped at all. It has everything you need. My parents enjoyed waking up each morning and eating breakfast on the deck, which overlooks a small pond that gets many feathered visitors throughout the day. It is close to New Harbor, and it is within reasonable walking distance to catch a beautiful sunset. I was seriously jealous of this spot when I saw it for myself, and am strongly considering renting it out myself for next year!

This property was not what we expected. The basement bedroom is more or less a dungeon. The owners are literally 2 feet away from the cabin (aka shack). The "cabin" hadn't been cleaned by the time we arrived. We did not stay, would not come back to this property, and would not recommend.

Was clean, centrally located cozy and comfortable. Much quieter than staying at a hotel and more space.

Cottage was just as described. Location was wonderful. 5 star stay. Owner checked in upon arrival and was available if needed. We enjoyed the deck and lawn and pond view and all that BI has for walking trails and the restaurants in evening.

We enjoyed our long weekend stay here. The property was beautiful and well maintained. It was the perfect size for me and my wife but can sleep 3 comfortably. The bed was comfortable which can be hit or miss on the island. We will definitely look to book again.

We were overjoyed with our choice as soon as we pulled in. Met Glen right away (he was mowing the lawn). Karen was visiting family in California but contacted us soon after we arrived. The cottage was immaculate! Perfect location. For 3 days, if we weren’t at Payne’s Dock or Old Harbor, we were hanging out on our deck. Just perfect! Thanks Karen & Glen

My 18-year-old son and I enjoyed this place quite a bit, but there is no Wi-Fi, despite this being included in the listing. Ordinarily this would be no issue, but we had quite a bit of rain our week. Additionally, the basement is very, very moist, requiring the use of a dehumidifier 24/7. This takes away from the quiet you expect on Block, normally interrupted only by bird songs.

We had a great stay at this sweet little cottage. It was VERY clean and had a great view of the Great Salt Pond and a little pond in the backyard. There was a great little porch with comfy chairs. There were also beach chairs provided. The owners provided plenty of information and checked in with us during our short stay. So that was very nice! A few things to note, the internet barely worked. Which is fine for a nice relaxing weekend, but do not depend on it if you need it for whatever reason. The cottage does not come with sheets or towels! We were also told to bring paper towels and toilet paper. There was one roll of each provided. So really depends on the length of your stay if you'll need more than that. So pack accordingly. As for the location, we choose to walk our entire stay. It was definitely a little far. We did not mind too much because the weather was not too hot. If you aren't big on walking be sure to bring a bike or car. The taxi's from town were not too expensive when our feet needed a break. You can easily walk to the Oar or Dead Eye Dicks. There seemed to be a few other shops along that strip that weren't open or not yet open for the season. Definitely would recommend but want other renters to keep the sheets / towel / and distance in mind!

Comfy

This is just about the cutest cottage in a neighborhood tucked away from the downtown area, but close enough to enjoy it! The cottage was immaculate and had everything we would ever need for our stay on Block Island. The porch was relaxing and we enjoyed sitting and drinking a cup of coffee, while looking at the beautiful pond on the property. Thank you for an amazing stay and we can’t wait to come back next year!

Although the Island wasn’t fully open for tourist season the trip was full of simple pleasures. The cottage was exactly what we needed for some privacy and relaxation.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is cute and comfortable. Sitting on the deck was a treat, it looks out over a grassy area and a pond. At night the stars were amazing. The hosts, Karen and Glenn, are wonderful. If we had any questions they got back to us right away. We had travel issues and they were very helpful and understanding. We've stayed at a lot of places on Block Island and this is a favorite! Highly recommend!

They under sell the turtle pond, its stacked with fish. Our 6 year old son fished 2xs a day. And within a bike ride to a private beach with awesome sunsets. We will be back!
