This is a remarkable property and was perfect for our family vacation. the views were amazing. We loved the access to kayaks and to areas to snorkel. Our host was attentive and very pleasant. Would absolutely plan a return trip.

I am so sad we just got back...it was so cool we are going back again next year. :) What a magical trip. We were right on the ocean and the front lawn is huge. We BBQ'd on the lanai and "chillaxed" in the hot tub. It was really cool to open up the windows and let the ocean breeze blow through the house upstairs...how cool was that! Everything just pulled our attention and the ocean was in full sight all week. Loved listening to the ocean waves rolling as I drifted off to sleep every night. I was a little concerned about the possible noise issue but I slept comfortably and we didn't have any problems with people yelling. I guess the ocean was too loud LOL I really needed a break with my stressful life and my goodness gracious I had it. Now I am back to the grind and all I can think about is next year as we are going back!

I am so sad we just got back...it was so cool we are going back again next year. :) What a magical trip. We were right on the ocean and the front lawn is huge. My family of 6 stayed here for 8 days. The house is modern, clean, and spacious and pleasantly open to the elements. The landscaping is lovely. The waves and the birds sometimes lulled me to sleep and sometimes kept me awake. But either way the morning came with the scent of Plumeria drifting over from across the street and that was better than coffee. You can snorkel right below the property if you're careful getting into the water. There are rocks and sea urchins to avoid. Kayaks are available two doors down and you could more easily enter the bay for snorkeling there. On our final morning I spotted the dolphins leaping in the bay and we quickly got into a kayak and paid them a respectful visit. It was magical.
Amma the property manager gave us a thorough introduction to the house. We didn't have any problems so we never needed to contact her. Everything about our visit was special. Even the rain. I highly recommend this property.
One caveat: the street outside the gate is busy with cars and foot traffic day and night. We were awakened several times by shouting. But it didn't last long and the ocean put us right back to sleep.

In the mittle of nature, the ocean is your garden. The house with its surrounding gives you all you need for a special stay at a special place. It is perfect to stay with friends. Enjoy Kealakakua Bay in a perfect way. I will be back :-).

We had an exceptionally wonderful time. It was incredible to have the breeze throughout the home and what a wonderful place to celebrate the birth of Christ as well as the matrimony of our son and new daughter-in-law! The convenience of an open concept kitchen with all the amenities made every meal a family event. Snorkeling and diving with the dolphins in this natural setting couldn't get any better. Our stay in the home at Kealakekua Bay could only have been better if we were still there. Very comfortable home in one of the prettiest spots on the island. Communication was great and everything went very smooth with arrival and any needs we had while there. We'll be back!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in January 14, talk about awesome! Had a hard time leaving this house to go and explore the island, the only complaint ;) it truly is a beautiful location & kayaking with the dolphins was definitely the highlight of my trip! Cannot wait to come back!

Amazing property
We really enjoyed our stay at this home. I have to be honest and say it took a little getting used to not having any windows on the second floor, but we adjusted quickly. The back porch was amazing! We ate every meal out there. Had morning coffee and watched the dolphins swim into the bay. Ate dinner and watched the sunset. The caretaker was extremely helpful. Being just up the road from the City of Refuge was great. The most amazing snorkeling ever! Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to use your home.
