The views from this room was pretty cool. The old-fashioned quaintness of the room was nice. The bed was confortable.
The room is not maintained well. It seems like this place is an afterthought by those running it. The carpet is very old and not clean. The bathroom was not cleaned well. The bathroom itself would benefit from addition by subtraction. The ancient rubber shower mat (that has certainly not been cleaned in years) needs to go. The bright pink hair dryer that was no doubt left by a bygone hotel guest and is covered in years with of dust adds nothing at all! The cloth shower curtain (That again, has likely not been cleaned in years) sticks to your skin as you shower. It has stuck to other people's skin too!

We have stayed here before; we love the historical charm, its location, and the sort of b & b feel of the place. This is definitely our go-to place, perfectly located to everything you need, the ferry, restaurants, leisure walks, etc.
When we arrived at the room, it had a strong smell, and the heater was not functioning very well (keeping in mind it's historical). However, the host gave us a space heater, which worked perfectly well. The combination of that and the opening of the windows seemed to eliminate the smell, which I presume may simply be from the fact that it's a very old building. Nonetheless, we loved the charm of the place and we will definitely be back for another stay.

Great location on water’s edge and for walking around town.
Room was super small. The check in process was odd as I had to call someone to let me in after we drove an hour and half.

Location was fabulous and the room was lovely with a huge really comfortable bed.
We arrived to find there were no facilities in the hotel as they were under going renovations …..with no mention on booking. com when we made our reservation. There was no lounge, restaurant or bar so it was just the bedroom. We would’ve booked elsewhere if we’d known as it was similar to a stay in a motel!

Great location for our vacation. Easy access to the ferry to go into San Francisco. Near great spots for vacationing.
Parking with your own vehicle wasn't that great.

This location is absolutely perfect as its on the waterfront adjacent to the ferry terminal and close to everything you need to see/enjoy in Sausalito including the marina, restaurants, an amazing bookshop and so many others....................!! Parking is 25 yards from the front door! Walking everywhere you need is on the flat unless your visiting some lucky locals up the side streets! :-)
Not sure if there are any facilities at this hotel as I only stayed one night and was out most of the time and only saw reception? If you check out early no one will be at the front desk to do any admin as yiu just leave your keys as I did.

Location was good. The bathroom was rather large.
The Internet was practically unusable. We were on a business trip and had some important calls to make and had to use our mobile phones data for that. Be aware that you will have to call reception so that they come to check you in. The room was tiny, only to put the bed. No desk or chairs if you need to work.

The location was excellent and the place was very clean.
The curtains in the room were crooked, peeling paint on the ceiling, hallway had a stale smell. Also, the workers on the building addition was noisy and woke me up early.

We Loved the location and boutique quaintness, of the hotel.
It was quiet with the windows closed and no noise coming from other rooms.
We really could not ask for a more central location and beautiful view from 208.
Staff were awesome. Aiden at front desk was very cordial, helpful and polite. Room service lady also!
Down fall is the bed! The mattress needs to be replaced. Very lumpy and the lighter person rolls to the heavier, etc...
We were staying 2 nights but left part way into the 2nd night because of the mattress issue.
The romantic get away wasn't as romantic because of!

No one on site. To check in you have to call a@# n wait for them. The phone in my room didn't work so I couldnt call the desk for assistance. I called the hotel # on the phone and got a recording 2x and left a message. No one responded. Finally I went downstairs and the representative was leaving. He was helpful for my needs abruptly told me if I needed anything to call another number that was posted at the desk. It is a very nice hotel, but they really need staff.
Staff wasn't welcoming and there wasn't anyone in site

Location was great.
When we got there the front door was locked. There was a sign on the door saying to call a number if it was after hours (it was 3pm). I called the number and a very unfriendly man answered. He said I didn’t have a reservation. I told him I had a confirmation email. I asked him if he could just come to the front desk so that we could talk about it (there was another couple who had been trying to get helped to no avail) and he audibly sighed in exasperation. A few minutes later, he walked down the street to open the door. No “hello how are you”, just “last name.” Seemed very put out that I was spending $250 to sleep at his hotel for the night. The whole downstairs was under construction and it was a huge eyesore. The whole place felt really tired. The rooms were super small. Very disappointed. Oh, and the heater was SO OLD and loud. Would not stay here again.
