The location is nice, close to restaurants and attractions.The resort staff was very nice and helpful. The view was spectacular, unfortunately not much sun for our stay. Several pools to chose from, and just steps from the beach. The condo itself needs some work. The beds were absolutely awful. Parking was difficult especially if you drive a large vehicle and no on site parking was available all week. There was no security and none of the doors to the resort were locked at all. I would not recommend this specific condo. T he prices are much cheaper if booked through the resort, and housekeeping, and breakfast daily.

Booked room a room ,myrtle beach. Decor was nice.1st problem was the Schalage lock on door, getting in and out was a nightmare finally got in touch with the company that rented this to us. Came and change the code,still a bit of problem.2nd trying to open the balcony doors took 2 hands and all body weight to open it. 3rd found cockroach in bathroom at 4am on Monday and then again Thursday in the bathtub and a dead 1 under waste basket in kitchen.(informed Rental agency he said they were Palmetto bugs) There is a big difference between Palmetto bug and cockroach) I know I live in SC. Wednesday night I informed him that water was pouring in under the AC in bedroom.I slipped an fell. He said that was due to the storm! Used all towels and sheets to stop the flow that was literaly flowing to under the bed. As a property owner I would like to know what needs to be fixed. Management from rental co is not informing them or the owners don't care! Disgusted! However I will book at Compass Cove again ,just will not go through VRBO or a ABNB. Get a better deal booking straight with the hotel and better service.

The condo decor was nice, loved the ocean theme. The unit had a lot to offer. The kitchen was well stocked and washer & dryer was a bonus. The view from the balcony was breathtaking eating meals on the balcony was a treat.. There was two early mornings when I heard the dolphins (that was great!). However, there are several issues that I must mention, the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The bed frame was off balance the bottom was noticeably higher than the top of the bed (we had to sleep at the foot of the bed). In addition I believe it's time to replace the mattress, it was too soft, either you sunk in the middle or felt like you would fall off the sides, not comfortable at all.
Several towels in the bathroom had long strands of hair folded in them from previous guess (that was gross). These issues could / should be fixed and would make for a perfect stay.

The condo was awesome. Just as described. We had an amazing time at the beach and all of the pools on the property. The tiki bar was a nice touch on property. I would highly recommend this property. If there was a problem/concern the owner was right on it. Thank tou for helping us make so many memories.

Overall, when we walked in, it was absolutely perfect. Needed a little bit of sprucing up wiping off a few things but overall we were satisfied. The view was amazing. Not a lot of room for an extra chair for my daughter on the balcony, but we spent most of our time at the beach and in the pool. I really liked having the washer dryer combo to run a load of laundry each evening to at least clean our stuff for the next day. Would’ve been nice to have a way to know what each channel was for the TV but I didn’t spend much time looking because we were too busy having fun otherwise. Staff there was very friendly and the food and drinks were nice at the restaurant. Love that it was more modern than the other rooms there and had a side window in the bedroom.

This was everything we hoped for. Right on the beach and close to everything and if your up for it I recommend walking to the pier. Enjoyed our morning coffee with the beautiful sunrise with the soothing sound of the ocean. The home is cozy and comfortable. Pictures are exact. We can't wait to return.

Everything was wonderful. Went straight to room with no issues. Everything exactly as described. Very clean. Perfect location. Beautiful view from balcony. Saw dolphins. Loved having a Starbucks in building. Parking was a little tough finding a spot but no big deal. Would definitely stay again.

Compass Cove and the Pinnacle Tower seems like one of the nicest properties on the south side of Myrtle Beach. This end unit has a great ocean view. Parking is a hassle however, there is a parking garage across the street with keycard (keep away from your smart devices as it will deactivate). Even though we had wrist bands, no one checks identity. Security on the property is lacking. We had no problems waiting for the elevator rides. The restaurants on site were good. You can rent chairs and umbrellas for the beach for like $45 a day. We found a lot of sharks teeth. Communication with owner is excellent. Location is GREAT. only a short ride to any attraction. Our only negative is that the bed is horrible.

The room was as advertised! Very nicely decorated, spacious, loved that it was a corner unit. The owner was very friendly. We love the Compass Cove. I also liked that we didn’t have to check in at the front desk, just straight to the room.

Overall the place was nice but it was four of us ladies to it was a little smaller than expected. But it's a great location. The owner was awesome and had great communication and fast responses when I had questions! If it's just two people I definitely recommend this property! There was one kind bed and a Murphy bed and it just wasn't comfortable. But that was really the only issue I had. Everything else was great!!

We were blessed to take this much needed vacation. The view is so amazing and breathtaking. You can sit on the sofa and see the beach and watch the waves not to mention the beautiful sunrise. The pictures was exactly the way the condo looked. Our furbaby JoJo loved looking through the railing and watching other dogs on the beach. We will definitely stay here again. The weather was so perfect we were able to extend our stay. Great memories! Thank you Derrick, you are an excellent host.

Lock too complicated. too much furniture in living room for drop-down bed, no blankets for bed. parking not good, no spaces available after the shows, had to drop old folks then park across street. elevators busy but very fast. carts too big big for elevators.
I really had a very good time at Mytrle, 2 shows, sfternoon at Duplin winery, Margaritaville. did'nt eat out at fine resturants ate big lunches.

First time to Myrtle Beach, disappointed
Arrived with our 5 and 3 year old to find that the previous occupants were absolute slobs. Grease stains and pizza smears all over the couch, potato chips and cheetos falling out of chair cushions. The pull down bed's sheet was stained with cheeto dust and who knows what else. I inspected the mattress itself and found a very large, very dark stain on the underside. I informed the owner that it was not an acceptable level of cleanliness, and he said he'd send his cleaning lady back through. Later, after some time at the pool, I texted again and told him that it was too late in the day and we were exhausted from travel for her to come again then. He said she'd already been through at that point but I still saw food all over the floors. Rather than be apologetic for inconvenience his guests, he blamed me for the condition of the condo simply because I asked about the possibility of an early check in. Terrible customer service.
The toaster was non functional and the beds (that were able to be slept in) were very uncomfortable. The handle of the microwave was broken, which I informed the owner and he said he'd have it taken care of. He did not tell me when maintenance might be coming by, so one afternoon I walked into the condo, just my 3 year old and I, to find a strange man in it. Communication is not the owner's strong suit, it seems.
As a matter of interest (certainly not something the condo owner can control) I will also review Compass Cove itself, so potential renters know what they may encounter.
The hallways and elevators are dirty and smell of body odor, are frequently dotted with bags of garbage and piles of wet towels that other guests just abandon. Dead cockroaches and broken ice machines can also be found.
The pools are almost always cloudy and on our last day there was a poop in the splash pad.
The cleanest part of the whole vacation was the ocean. The beach is great and the overall location of the condo (near the major strips and the airport) was a plus. The kids loved the Lazy River and the shallow pool. Having a washer/dryer combo in the room was very convenient. The view from the balcony was very nice.
On the whole though, this was very overpriced and very disappointing. Won't be back.

Great setup and location
We've stayed here in previous years and wanted to do a return trip again with the family. We had a great trip.
I can't say enough good things of our host, Derrick and the property itself. Compass Cove is spread out across three buildings. The upside is access to all of the pools and hot tubs. Weather was a miss a few days and we took full advantage of the pools.
Since our last trip, there were some nice changes to the unit. Unit is extremely clean and overall quiet. The kitchen reno was well done and gave more counterspace. The living area was nicely redone with the wood on the wall. We saw that the bed was set to a single queen, so the kids took the sofa pullout which was comfortable. Check-in is easy--just go to the unit :). We would definately stay again.
A word of advice is to check if your trip falls in one of the biker weeks. Parking was a bit of a hassle but just give yourself some extra time. We had to park across the street/short walk. For the second bike week (BBW), the town took precautions to shut down Ocean Ave pretty much completely north to south. Heavy police presence left some questions for the kids that we had to explain. Driving was a challenge then but the quiet/extra security made up for things. Just be patient, really.

Great place, amazing views
This condo was very clean, comfortable, and stylishly decorated. The extra sheets and towels were so helpful. The unit was difficult for us to find because Compass Cove is so large, but once we did it was awesome. Pools were clean and the entire resort was well kept. Our biggest issue was that there was never a moment of quiet within the resort....I had forgotten how loud Myrtle Beach is 24/7. This had nothing to do with the unit, or our property owner, Derrick. He was amazing. To sum up, we had a wonderful trip and I would recommend to stay for an action packed, fun vacation. Made memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you very much for having us. 😃

FMB vacation getaway
We absolutely loved Compass Cove on FMB-resort is located on north beach, but still close to lots of cool attractions; access to a beautiful, enormous beach with miles of miles to walk along the shoreline.
Beach chair service doesn’t initially start until April 1st, but the resort has plenty of chairs/loungers by their numerous indoor/outdoor pools, hot tubs, etc. The chairs/loungers are not permitted on the beach.
There’s also an on-site restaurant, Crow’s Nest, that has the best Maui sandwich, refreshing cocktails, etc all the while providing outdoor seating overlooking the ocean. There’s also a buffet breakfast restaurant, but we didn’t dine there. There are 3 towers on the resort, so be sure you park at the first tower’s parking garage for the Pinnacle tower-where the unit is located….those directions are provided in the check-in instructions. Parking can be very challenging-free spots are limited in the parking garage especially when coming back from dinner, but there’s an overflow parking garage/outside parking lot across the street.
Luggage carts are located on the main level of the tower where you can pull into 15 min parking just for loading/unloading…the limited carts are tucked behind a divider overlayed with green like turf that we almost missed at first.
Derek, the property manager, is a moment’s notice away from providing any supplies you feel you need-within the hour, he had someone drop off oven mits, more garbage bags per our request. His responses are always super-sonic fast and friendly. The unit is furnished with plenty of towels, but would recommend you bring dishwashing soap (it has a laundry/dryer system versus having a dishwasher), and we prefer liquid hand-soap. Shampoo/conditioner/bars of soap are provided in the unit. Fully loaded galley kitchen (recently remodeled) that provides prepping space for 2 people. There’s 1 non-stick fryer pan that we noticed, so it would also be helpful to bring cooking spray, if you plan on cooking meals from the unit. The view from the oceanfront balcony is breath-taking….started our mornings with coffee sitting tall in the adirondack chairs which prop you up over the balcony with full ocean views. The corner unit is on the 4th floor overlooking one of the pools and beautiful ocean.
Our only negative was that we were there during spring training for high school baseball, so noise factor was an issue at the pool most nights, but never past the 11pm closing curfew.

We love this unit! Kitchen has enough tools to cook a meal! 4th floor balcony is awesome!! Plenty of bath towels. Derrick is great to work with!

We really enjoyed staying in 452 at Compose Cove. Check in was a little confusing, but it was in part that I didn't read the instructions too good. It took us a couple times to get the door lock figured out but once we got it it was good to go. We had a couple of minor issues with tv internet,etc, but hey...who cares we were on vacations. The washer dryer combo was really nice!! We really loved the led strip lights.. That was kool. The only negative would have to be the mattress on the king bed, it was a little soft for our liking but again, no big deal. Communication with the host was outstanding. Had we needed anything I'm sure it would have been taken care of immediately. We would absolutely stay here again. Maybe a BIGGER unit next time, with Derrick 's property. Thank you Derrick for allowing us to enjoy your property!! Our little dog Ollie LOVED the beach, it was nice to have him with us. As for the lady in the resort restaurant who told us we didn't have access to the pools, and that Derrick was scamming us.....KISS OFF, we didn't want that high priced food anyway...
