They say 3 times is a charm well each visit has been wonderful and this one had the best weather. We love staying in this cozy house on the beach near to good restaurants and birding sights. It is our 3rd time in it. Great beach for walking and relaxing and watching fishermen and women. They were catching fish!
There are lots of other things to do which we didn’t do this time like kayaking and touring historic sights which have done in the past
Kim is great to communicate with too. Hope to be back.

What I'd like to tell you is that our time was terrible, the house was horrible, and that all communication with Kim were the worst, but I can't. Hoping to get my choice of weeks for next year! You can't blame me for trying!
This is an adorable cottage, well equipped and clean, in an absolutely perfect spot on the beach. Kim was wonderful to work with and was very helpful when a storm came in just before we were due to arrive and with communication regarding our stay.
It was horrible, terrible, save your money.
But that's not at all how our week at Sea Glass was. It was full of happiness and great memories. We'll be back.

My husband and two teens spent a week at Sea Glass Cottage over the 4th of July week. I’ve been coming to the OBX since I’m 16 years old and have stayed in a number of properties. This one ranks right up with some of my favorites! The property was just as described. Kim was quick to respond when I had a few inquiries through the week. The cottage was clean and cozy. It was perfect for our needs this year and would definitely recommend to others. The personalized welcome card was such a lovely touch. We recommend this property with absolutely no hesitation and would book again!

We stayed for a week and had a fantastic time. House was clean and had beautiful views of the ocean. Access to the beach is right off the driveway which was really convenient. We loved this house and will definitely be staying here again!

Loved that the house is directly on the beach. The house was very clean, in a quiet area of Nags Head and furnished nicely. The kitchen had everything we needed and we used the outdoor shower daily before coming into the house. We would highly recommend this oceanfront house.

We have stayed at one of Kim and Mark's properties for several years now. This was the first time we stayed at their Nags Head house. We knew that we would get the same great treatment that we normally do. We were so happy with the location of this house. It is everything they say it is. The neighborhood was quiet and the house is literally on the dunes which makes beach access very quick and easy. The house itself was clean and comfortable for us. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

We actually had a good time at Sea Glass and had great memories when we left. Sadly, those memories have been erased by mistaken or false accusations from the owner after we left. She claimed we put a red stain on the comforter on the queen bed. Both my wife and daughter noticed that when we got there and thought it was tacky, but we didn’t want to complain about little things and didn’t say anything. Unfortunately, we didn’t take pictures then. She also claimed our dog urinated on the king bed in such a manner as it soaked thru the comforter and onto the mattress pad. This DID NOT happen. My wife and I stayed in the room with the King bed and the dog was not allowed in there. We certainly would have noticed a spot that large and wet. That simply did not happen. We didn’t notice the stains on the comforter when we checked in so again, we didn’t take pictures to prove our innocence. She claimed the dog urinated and made a stain on the rug in the living room and in the bedroom. We did not see that stain and the pictures she submitted to VRBO didn’t have a date on them so we have no idea when that happened but our dog didn’t do that. It is not the money that I have an issue with. If my dog had actually done this damage, I would have texted the owner at the time and let her know and tried to clean up. I would have paid any damage no question asked. I just hate having my honesty and character assaulted. If at a VRBO property, you had better document preexisting damage.

This was our first time in the Outer Banks and we greatly enjoyed our stay at Sea Glass cottage! The cottage is ideally located in a private and quiet neighborhood, but still very close to restaurants and shops – and you have the beach at your doorstep! It was easy for us to drive north to Duck, south to Cape Hatteras, or just go get ice cream every night and coffee every morning — all without any noisy neighbors.
Communication with the hosts was easy and they checked in with us halfway through our stay as well. When we did have a question, they were readily available, kind, and accommodating.
The cottage has a great layout and felt slightly bigger in person than in the photos. It was also very clean throughout! The front porch is large with plenty of seating and the bed/pillows are VERY comfortable. We also woke up to dolphins nearly every morning during our two-week stay! The dunes are tall (as pictured), but you can definitely still see the ocean and they provide a lot of privacy, which we appreciated. There are also plenty of great shells on this quiet and peaceful beach!
Overall the property was perfect for our needs and while nearly all essentials were provided, scissors, hangers in the closet, and hand soap at the sink would have been welcomed additions. We also felt that there were some exterior surfaces that could stand to be updated (especially for the prices being charged) which we've messaged the hosts about separately since they wouldn't prevent us from staying again.
If you're looking for a quiet cottage in an ideal location with the sand at your feet in the Outer Banks, Sea Glass Cottage is perfect!

The home is adorable and very clean. Kim and Mark are very easy to work with and respond quickly with any questions. The only thing we were disappointed in was the dunes are higher than the porch, so you really can't see the ocean clearly, but you can hear it. It was a very relaxing week.

We LOVED staying at the Sea Glass cottage - LIFE IS GOOD OCEANFRONT - it was everything as promised and more. Walking down the steps and stepping onto the beach is just an amazing benefit! And the dolphins!! So many dolphins swimming just a few hundred feet out from the shoreline!
We took advantage of the optional linen service, and it was worth every penny! There were plenty of towels for everyone.
The cottage was perfect size for the four of us but would have been just as comfortable with 2 more adults too.
Everything was very clean and in great shape! The views are amazing. The neighborhood is tucked away and quiet, and the house is clean and has a trendy vibe to it.
I would highly recommend this as a home away from home - I hope we make it down to OBX again and will definitely look to come back to Sea Glass!
The owners are very responsive and attentive to the needs of renters!

This little cottage was just what we needed. It was perfectly clean and well stocked with appropriate kitchen supplies. The couch is super snuggly and the bed is VERY COMFY! Owners were so wonderfully accommodating and Dog friendly. Access to the beach is unbeatable and communication with the owner was exceptional. I would stay here again in a second. I travel ALOT and I would rate my experience here as top notch.

My husband and I had the most relaxing vacation at this home, and we look forward to visiting again in the future. Kim and Mark offer a wonderful, clean home with all the necessities you’d need. We were really impressed with the layout, cleanliness, and direct access to the beach, as well as being so close to all the local activities and restaurants. This was the perfect property for our first family vacation to the Outer Banks. The location was excellent for exploring both north and south, not to mention the beach out our front door.
Everything was comfortable, including the size and layout—not cavernous, and with all the bits and pieces we needed during our stay—and the beds. (We all slept like rocks.)
The owners were very responsive, and addressed everything from questions about the best location for local shelling to us forgetting to empty the dishwasher (cringe), and leaving our water bottles behind (double cringe).
We took advantage of the optional linen service, and it was worth every penny! There were plenty of towels available to us.
I'd definitely recommend Sea Glass cottage to anyone looking for a temporary "home" in the OBX.

Sea Glass cottage was clean and updated inside with incredible views of the water from the covered porch. The weather turned a bit cool on us but still had a great week. Kim and Mark were great communicators before and during the stay. We would definitely consider returning to Sea Glass for future trips. Just a note for those that may have mobility challenges - the dune access to the beach was a little steeper than we had anticipated But was definitely doable.

Sea Glass Cottage is what the Irish call a "thin place" meaning that the line between heaven and earth barely exists. To wake up in the morning to the sound of the ocean, and if early enough, the sunrise, is the perfect start to the day. Sea Glass is a wonderful place for a family to gather but it is also a great choice for a romantic get-away; we've done both. After five stays there, we don't even think for a second that there is anyplace else we'd rather go on the OBX.

Perfect location right off the beach. House is beautifully decorated, cozy and clean. Owners Kim and Mark are very thoughtful, checking on us to make everything is fine. Close to many attractions - Bodie lighthouse, Nags head fishing pier and NC aquarium. This is our return visit to the Sea Glass house and we would definitely recommend this beach house.

You cannot beat the location of this property. We enjoyed sunrises on the deck and saw tons of dolphins! The beach is literally steps away. The kitchen was well equipped and the cookware was in great shape.

This place was perfect four our family, including our 2 boys and dog. The view of the ocean is amazing! The owners are extremely communicative and responsive. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful vacation at OBX. It is centrally located and access to Corolla, Pea Island, Alligator River Wildlife Refuge, Bodie Lighthouse, Jockey Ridge and Cape Hatteras was easy. It is also close to grocery stores and other conveniences. Would give this place 6 stars if we could.

Loved the cottage and proximity to the beach. Comfortable and lovely accommodations. First time visiting OBX and NC. Boy, summer is hot!!! So nice to sit on deck in the morning and evening. Easy walk to the beach. Family had a great stay. Saw dolphins a couple of times and, for nature lovers, that was such a treat!
Only downside was beach preservation work going on when we arrived. It moved down the shore within a couple days. Think they do this every couple years? Regulars and locals seemed to be in the know. Know now to check website and with owners next time.

Amazing Time
We had an amazing week. House is conveniently located near all of the local attractions. House was just as described and the views are incredible. We brought along our two kids (11 & 15), and two dogs. There was plenty of space and we had all of the required amenities. The house is right on the beach, so hanging out on the front deck was our favorite thing to do. You couldn't be closer to the beach without being right on it. We hope to return in the future. Mark and Kim were very quick to respond to questions, and checked in with us to make sure everything was great during our trip. We highly recommend staying here!

The cottage itself was very comfortable, especially the beds! I want to give a recommendation for the Tale of the Whale restaurant. Was there 35 years ago and looked forward to going back. It did not disappoint! But get there before they open at 5PM and go inside and put your name in if you don’t want a long wait. It is very popular!

It truly is steps away from the beach and short drive to restaurants, bars and activities. Property is on a quiet dead end street with adequate parking. My sister and I had massages In the open space under the house and it was glorious hearing the ocean and sea gulls. This was one of my favorite cottages that we stayed in and it is pet friendly which is a huge bonus for us traveling with 2 furry kids! Thank you Mark and Kim for sharing this wonderful property…

The owners did a wonderful job with upgrades and decor… the covered porch was brand new and properly was in great condition. It truly is steps away from the beach and short drive to restaurants, bars and activities. Property is on a quiet dead end street with adequate parking.
