This is a beautiful home that provides everything you could possibly need. The history of the home, along with pictures throughout the house, was wonderful. There was plenty of room to gather as a group with the open kitchen/living room/dining room concept and plenty of places when privacy was desired. The personal touches provided by the owners throughout the house were awesome. We never ran out of the essentials. The location is on a large pond that provided access to creeks and several additional ponds so you could do an 8-mile kayak/canoe trip, if desired (worth it). The only downside was it was over 45 minutes to hike a 46 er and approximately 40 minutes to Lake Placid. Both are not showstoppers; you just need to plan accordingly. The owners were very courteous and made sure everyone arrived safely and were prepared prior to arrival. If you are considering this house for your vacation, I feel you will enjoy the house and everything it offers. I would love to visit in the summer so I can enjoy swimming and fishing. October was not a good month for those two activities! 😊

The set up is perfect. Kitchen has everything. Entertainment center is nice with two large TVs up and down stairs, Pool table, and plenty of board games.
Screened in porch, which I always sit in, is the best. Made a fire a few of the nights in the fire pit.
Secluded but not too far from Saranac and Tupper Lake.
Did some boating, it is perfect.
You guys are great. Has everything we needed.

Our family’s stay at the lodge was the best we’ve ever had out of many trips to the ADK. Chuck and Joan have done a phenomenal job renovating and maintaining this gorgeous property, the listing pictures do not do it justice. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is top notch and they keep it cleaner than any hotel you’ll find in the region. The lodge has everything you could possibly need, just bring your food and clothes. We brought our own boat, launched at Fish Creek Pond Campground, and kept it at right at the dock all week for fishing and tubing. The location is perfect, being close to Tupper Lake, Saranac, Lake Placid and endless hiking trails and mountains. The booking, check-in, and check-out process is as simple and smooth as it gets, and Chuck is so hospitable and helpful with his communication. If you are looking for a family friendly place and are lucky enough to see an opening on the availability calendar, don’t wait, book today!

Everything was PERFECT! Location - right on the water in between Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake, lots of hikes, views, grocery store, restaurants. Lodge - amazing, well decorated, enjoyed the many historical photos, had every amenity needed, kids loved pool table, foosball, and collection of board games on rainy day. Large screened back deck was enjoyed for the views, morning coffee, meals, games, and conversations. Kayaks, canoes, docks, grassy area, and fire pit were all wonderful. Hosts are thoughtful and communicated appropriately.

There was absolutely nothing more we could have wanted. They provided everything and the place is something out of Architectural Digest. Amazing place!

We enjoyed our 2021 stay at LaJeunesse Lodge so much we went back in 2022. The home has been beautifully renovated, the accommodations are complete and comfortable, and the owners are a pleasure to communicate with. Our visits have been in winter and there is plenty to see and do in the area, but we would love to return in the summer as well. LaJeunesse Lodge makes a great destination for family and friends.

This home was beautiful! Better than the pictures!! Our group consisted of 3 small families. Upon entry, we all agreed we were definitely coming back because it was so impressive and clean. It really has a wow factor! Chuck and Joan thought of everything, making our stay comfortable, peaceful, lovely and unforgettable. Lifelong memories were made, many of which revolve around the attention to detail of the home and all the amenities included. Seriously, we couldn't keep from commenting on the craftsmanship and attention to detail. We sincerely can't thank our hosts enough for opening their home to us.

The lodge's accommodations exceeded our expectations in every way. The living areas were spacious and well equipped with sound and entertainment. The outdoor space was perfect for our two small kids and convenient to the water. Having the marina and trading post next door allowed us to enjoy vacation without having to plan too far ahead for necessities. The story of the lodge and its renovation was breathtaking. Overall, Chuck was an excellent host and we loved our stay!

Wonderful Family Getaway
We had an absolutely wonderful week away at this beautiful home. Four generations of our family enjoyed every aspect of the house, yard and lake. Chuck and Joan thought of every need we might have and the house is spectacular! The kids loved the game area, jumping off the dock, and roasting marshmallows by the fire. The screened in porch was perfect for playing games and relaxing in the evening. We can’t wait to return next year!

This was the best equipped, best maintained, most organized house we have ever rented. It was also the most interesting, as it was created by rebuilding an historic building at a former summer camp. Into a large, modern, charming lodge. The house is in perfect condition, with great Adirondack decor and a huge bonus second floor room with fireplace, bar, billiards, football, TV, desk, game table, etc.
There is a large screened-in porch just off the kitchen, overlooking the lake and dock. We visited in March but I’d love to spend time on that porch in the summer. It seems ideal.
The property is such a peaceful spot and the lake is gorgeous.
The photos in the listing do not do LaJuenesse justice. It looked much nicer in person than we expected from the photos.
We hope to have an opportunity to visit again in the winter or the summer, or both!

Beautiful House, Great Hosts
This house is even more impressive in person than it is in the photos, and the hosts could not have been more accommodating. The entire house is beautifully renovated, the lakeside location is ideal, and the game-room/bar area upstairs is perfect for spending evenings with family and friends. We visited in winter and had a blast; I can only imagine how much fun it would be in summer. We booked our next visit to LaJeunesse Lodge before we even packed up to go home.

Loved the lodge and everything about it. So worth it. Chuck and Joan didn’t miss a beat with the decorating and all the additional pieces that make traveling so worth it. As a family that lives to eat and cook, every utensil was available (and we brought our own). We had a 4 1/2 yo and a 5 month old baby and still there was accommodations for them too. From high chairs to children’s books there was something for everyone, unbelievable. Along with all of this, Chuck checked in with me to make sure all was good. It was great!

We had a fantastic one week stay at Lodge. The pictures do not depict the true beauty of this place. The place is very clean, spacious with everything you need for a nice comfortable vacation. The property is amazing, newly renovated, very clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Very nice and roomy dining area. Bedrooms are spacious with beautiful views. Our children absolutely loved second floor entertainment area.
Owners pay close attention to every small detail to make your stay comfortable. They even had Lysol spray and hand sanitizer for the guests! Definitely will be back! Thank you so much Chuck!

Old men in the woods
This is the 4th time I have been here. This place is in a great location on the water with access by water to several lakes including the Saranac lakes and Fish Creek, ( canoes, kayaks and a fishing boat provided) Nice dock. There are SEVERAL good hiking trails and peaks to bag that are close by. Many of the 46 high peaks are close as well as the Saranac 6.
The house is beautiful with a good sized kitchen and dining area. Bedrooms are very nice. Has a pool table and entertainment area on the second floor.
The owners , Chuck and Joan, went out of their way for us this year. Very grateful

Fabulous August Visit
We had an absolutely wonderful week at the property. The owners were so helpful providing information on the house and surrounding areas even before we arrived. The house was immaculate and had everything you could want for an enjoyable stay. Our favorite part was the large screened in porch where we drank morning coffees and evening wine as well as ate all of our meals while enjoying the lakeside views just 20 feet away. The kayaks and canoes were perfect for exploring the surrounding areas and the nearby marina was an easy option for a one day boat rental to enjoy the larger Lake Saranac area. The upstairs rec room was filled with games as as well a pool and fooz ball table to keep the kids occupied during down time. We could not have asked for anything more and hope to return again. Thank you!

Beauty beyond our expectations!
Our stay at the lodge was spectacular! The accommodations were top notch, which set the tone for the most enjoyable vacation. The lodge is very well appointed, the kitchen has everything you could ever need, the bathrooms are beautiful and include towels for both inside and out. The kids really enjoyed the amazing upstairs game room, complete with a pool table and big screen TV with surround sound. There is a beautiful dining table with room for at least 10, but we ate every meal in the screened in porch while watching the family of loons who swam by every day during breakfast and dinner. We usually bring our own kayaks, but there was no need since four kayaks and two canoes along with a rowboat are provided for guests.
The waterfront was most inviting with a sandy bottom that surrounds the dock, making getting in and out of the water effortless. Many mornings were spent sipping coffee on the dock and enjoying the beautiful scenery. At night the fire pit was the perfect spot for s’mores while recapping our day. We found that it was so relaxing to just hang out at the lodge, that we hardly left the property.
When we did leave the property, we kayaked to beautiful Follensby Clear Pond for fishing and a picnic and ventured out to Upper Saranac by boat to check out the many historic camps all around the lake. Since it was 4th of July weekend, we were treated to the annual antique wooden boat parade on the lake and the lodge was the perfect spot to see the fireworks display from The Point which is a short distance away.
The owner was a pleasure to deal with and was always just a phone call away if we had any questions. We have been coming to the Adirondacks for years and this was by far our favorite trip. We are already looking forward to returning next year and hopefully many more years to come. LaJeunesse Lodge is beautiful and all the hard work that was put into restoring every inch of it shows in so many ways. We are so thankful to Chuck and Joan for letting us share their labor of love, it is truly a special place.

Le Jeunesse Lodge Beauty
Chuck and Joan are the best people to work with and go above and beyond in hospitality. They went above and beyond to make sure that our week at their amazing lodge was a vacation to remember. The pictures of the lodge do it no justice at all. It is simply breath taking with attention to every detail possible every where you look, room enogh for my entire family on both my wife and my sides, amazing dock for our pontoon boat, short drive to amazing shopping, hiking and dinning, peaceful all day and night, screened in deck is priceless, and the list can go on about this amazing lodge. If open weeks work out we plan to be back every year it is available going forward.

A Lovely Retreat for the Whole Family
We recently had a fantastic stay at Lajeunesse Lodge. We loved the quiet waterfront location and enjoyed fishing and swimming from the dock. The lodge itself is very well furnished and maintained. We especially appreciated the well-tooled kitchen, which had all we needed to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner. The host was very responsive to our questions and was eager to ensure everything was perfect for our stay. This is truly a five-star lodge.

So much paddling variety!
We had a great time on our friend trip this Memorial Day weekend! This is our second year, and the house was as amazing as last year. No bugs, thanks to the screened in porch, and we paddled all over due to the perfect location on the Fish Creek Ponds. Chuck was super easy to work with, and the house was pristine when we arrived. We had a great time and look forward to coming back again!!!

Guys Weekend
Tired it last year and were back. There is a reason for that.
Accommodations are great. Plenty of room for 7 adult males. Kitchen is fully loaded. There are 3 bathrooms and it can easily sleep 8. There are 2 porches with one being screened in. Nice dock with boating. There is a fire pit which we cooked on. All great. It makes work harder to go back to.

The perfect family vacation spot!
This lovely lodge provided us with a relaxing, fun filled and comfortable get away. The property has been beautifully restored with attention to every detail throughout the house. It is clear that a lot of thought went into preserving many of the historical details while adding modern amenities. We were a party of 8 and there was more than enough room. It is so spacious, that people can have lots of personal space while also providing great rooms for everyone to gather together. Our grandchildren (10 and 13) loved spending time at the dock watching the fish, ducks and loons on the lake. The sandy bottom is a great swimming space and makes it easy to get into the kayaks and canoes that are there for your use. We spent many hours on the large screened in porch and evenings around the fire pit. There are great activities close by, and we enjoyed our trip to the Wild Center in Tupper Lake as well as climbing Mt. Arab to the fire tower where my husbands grandfather was a ranger in the 1930's. Chuck and Joan were lovey to deal with and checked in to make sure that all was well when we arrived. We have rented many vacation homes over the years and this is by far at the top of our list. We look forward to our next stay!

Great vacation.
We had a wonderful time at La Jeunesse. There was always something to do for our grown children as well as our small grandchildren, whether swimming in the velvety water of the lake, using the kayaks and canoes the lodge supplies to explore it, sitting around the campfire making s’mores and staring at the Milky Way, sitting on the screened-in porch drinking our morning coffee, watching the amazing tv surround sound set-up upstairs, playing one of the multiple games the lodge offers, or taking hikes at nearby sites. The lodge itself is among the best we’ve experienced. It is beautiful, roomy, and immaculate and about as close to the lake as you can get. The kitchen has everything you could need! Chuck was easy to contact and gave us all the information we needed. We couldn’t have asked for more. The only thing is to remember that Fish Creek Pond and Upper Saranac Lake are not motor boat or jet-ski free.

Amazing Grand Lodge!
This huge, renovated, and immaculately kept lodge fit our extended family's needs perfectly for the two weeks we were here. So much so that we will be returning again next year for two weeks. Everything was just great for our family of 10 (ages 14 to 79). The amenities and layout of the house were perfect as well. There are 3 bedrooms/2 baths downstairs (to accommodate those who could not climb the stairs or who wanted to retire earlier than the younger folks) and 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and a huge loft area that has an awesome home theatre system with surround sound, a pool table and darts as well as a large bar area. The pictures do not accurately portray the sheer magnitude and beauty of this lodge.
We brought two boats (a fishing boat and a pleasure boat) with us as well and both were accommodated very easily at the large U shaped dock. The family enjoyed the dock area (and the A/C) a great deal as the weather was hot during our first week. The gradual sloping sandy bottom with no weeds/grass was a plus for all of those who liked swimming off the dock.
It's obvious a lot of thought went into the details of this lodge as the renovation took place. All the areas are very spacious and provide plenty of room to relax, spread out not feel confined by each other's presence. Our family spent a lot of time on the huge screened in porch as well. A few nights by the campfire were peaceful and relaxing (especially hearing the loons). Amazingly there were hardly any bugs this year!
The kitchen is very nice and has everything we ever needed. We did do a lot of cooking at the lodge simply due to the size of our group (it was easier to cook rather than go out somewhere with that big of a group). Space to store groceries was little tight. Our only recommendation for this lodge would be to add either more unused cupboard/drawer space to store groceries or perhaps add a shelving unit or pantry in the hallway (where the bench is) leading to the screened in porch.
Lastly, Chuck has been amazing to deal with regarding every detail of this lodge, providing info on the surrounding area and answering any questions we had. It has been an unprecedented vacation experience for us.

This was a perfect get-a-way site for my family. The accommodations were top notch, the location perfect, and the owners, Chuck and Joan, ensured our stay was as memorable as possible. We all agreed that we would love to return in the future!

Magnificent Grand Lodge!
Every summer, our extended family (of 10) looks for a spot to vacation in the New England/NY area and this year we chose LaJeunesse Lodge. Without a doubt, this house/property was perfect for our family. In fact, we loved it so much that we booked again next summer for another two weeks.
From the initial contact with the owner, Chuck, to every detail of the property, we were impressed. The Lodge itself has been transformed from an old boys camp infirmary to a modern day retreat. The layout of the house was perfect for our entire family (ages 14 to 79). Providing bedrooms and baths downstairs (for those who can’t navigate many steps) and upstairs for the folks who like to stay up later and play pool, darts or use the home theater/bar area. We spent most days on the lake (docking our two boats at the property’s generous U shaped dock which has a sandy bottom and no grass/weeds). We also enjoyed time spent on the large screened-in porch. It was unusually hot during our stay and the geothermal A/C was very much appreciated. I think anyone would be hard pressed to find anything that they didn’t enjoy about this place. We are so looking forward to our return next summer.
