Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Familienfarm in Lancaster County, abseits vom Lärm und der Hektik des Alltags. Ihr privates Quartier befindet sich in einer Wohnung, die Teil unseres Blockhaus-Bauernhauses aus dem 18. Jahrhundert ist. Moderne Annehmlichkeiten werden mit einbezogen, ohne den Charakter des alten Hauses zu verlieren.
Dieser Hof ist seit fünf Generationen in Familienbesitz. Genießen Sie das Fischen auf unserem Teich, während Färsen in der Nähe grasen, oder spazieren Sie die lange Feldstraße entlang. Entspannen Sie in der Hängematte oder genießen Sie Ihren Tee oder Kaffee auf der Veranda mit Blick auf die Landschaft. Verfolgen Sie die täglichen Aktivitäten auf diesem Bauernhof. Diese 50 m² große Suite verfügt über ein Schlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett mit einstellbarer Schlafnummer, einem Bad mit Dusche, einer Waschmaschine, einem Trockner und einer voll ausgestatteten Küche für die Zubereitung von Mahlzeiten. Mim and Clair's summerhouse cottage was more than expected. The farm setting in Lancaster County offers unique place to relax and unwind. Both Mim and Clair were great hosts and were very proud of the property and its family heritage. One concern I had originally was the proximity to the main house, but it was not an issue at all. While Mim and Clair were there to answer any questions about the property or local areas of interest, we felt right at home and had our privacy. I would certainly recommend this property, especially to families of Elizabethtown College students, if you needed to spend some time in the area. We will most certainly be back.

This is our fifth time staying here I believe and it’s wonderful every time. Every detail of the house obviously took a lot of work and loving care. It shows the charm of the original building but has modern comforts. We even love the peaceful colors that were chosen to decorate with! The outside is just as wonderful. We love visiting the farm animals and walking around the property. Although it feels secluded, there are several grocery stores, restaurants, etc within 10 minutes and Hershey is only about 20 minutes away. We can’t wait to come back next year!

The property was perfect. You feel like you’re tucked away in farm country but have everything available to you 10-15 minutes away. The house was great and the beds comfortable. The back porch was nice to sit on as you drank your morning coffee. It was a nice, relaxing stay at the house. Would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting PA

We had a great stay (two couples and two 1 year olds). Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-stocked. We loved the play nook and baby gate at the top of the stairs!

We loved this rental from the moment we pulled up in the driveway. The farm cottage was beautifully restored and provided every modern comfort, while keeping it's historical charm. The house had everything you needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay, and the location was perfect for trips to Gettysburg and Hershey. My kids loved the reading nook and the adults loved the comfortable beds with soft linens, as well as a beautiful kitchen with all the necessities. Thank you for being amazing hosts. We can't wait to come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We had plenty of space to spread out but still felt cozy and comfortable. We loved seeing the farm animals every day and fields full of fire flies at night. Mom and Clair were very gracious hosts. We can’t wait to come back!

I can not say enough positive things about our vacation. Their cottage is absolutely beautiful. The house is so well decorated and the old charm and history of the cottage is thoughtfully preserved. The farm and fields are picturesque and my husband and two young boys loved taking nightly walks on the fields. It was a perfect way to end a busy day. Clair and Mim were wonderful hosts. They were kind and attentive, but never intrusive. My husband and I both commented many times on how relaxed we felt and how it forced us to slow down and enjoy the moments. We will absolutely stay here again. I search for vrbo rentals regularly and always read the reviews. I highly recommend this house. It is clean, relaxing, close to town, but in a setting that allows you to feel like you are miles away. Our boys loved going out every morning and feeding the goats. My husband and I loved drinking coffee in the back porch and just taking it easy. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

If you're looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to stay, this is it! The summer house was spacious, very comfortable, and well stocked with everything you would need. The farm is picturesque with rolling hills and beautiful sunsets and the location is perfect for a quick drive to any of the local destinations. I highly recommend this rental and can't wait to go back again soon.

We loved our stay!! Stayed here with 3 kids while visiting Hersheypark and it was the perfect place after a long day of travel and Hersheypark. The land is beautiful and animals were a HUGE plus for all of us. We enjoyed our evenings on the back porch while the kids played in the yard (and we got to chat with the owners, Mim and Claire, who are very friendly) . To be honest, the house was just as much as hit as Hersheypark. Everything was very clean and decorated nicely. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

My husband and our two adult children stayed here for a family reunion. It was a great place to stay. Very quiet and relaxing. Even our adult kids loved the goats, lambs and cows. 😄 The historic Summerhouse was wonderfully renovated. It has the modern touches with the important historic elements still in place. Mim and Claire couldn’t have been nicer.

We picked this place due to its close proximity to Hershey. Everything was in great condition and very clean. Nice that our grandkids could experience the farm animals, too. Would highly recommend.

As the title says, if you want a stay full of character, charm and comfort, look no further!! The Summerhouse Cottage was just wonderful in every way. A true gem.
Our family of four spent three nights here while we visited very nearby Hershey, Lancaster, and Strasburg. It was the perfect place to come back to at the end of our busy days.
There is a beautiful history behind this cottage, the farmhouse it sits near, and the picturesque land it is on. We were fortunate enough to meet Clair and Mim in person who both offered us these details, all of which made our stay here more special! Our children enjoyed visiting the goats and sheep, and we were able to explore their gorgeous land for sunset walks.
Walking into the cottage, you can see the love and care that went into renovating it. It is perfectly furnished and properly equipped with all that we needed during our stay. Additionally, the owners made sure they were available if there was anything else we may have needed during our stay. Little touches here and there make this vrbo stand apart from others we have stayed in before. We truly hope to come back. Thank you, Clair and Mim, for sharing your slice of heaven!!

Our time spent at Summer Cottage was just what we needed. The location was perfect secluded enough to feel out of the way but close enough to major highways to get where we wanted to go with ease. The home itself was beautiful. Very clean and well equipped. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. They even helped us set the grill so we could enjoy a nice meal with our family. The next time we go to Lancaster this is where we will stay again.

Beautiful country house surrounded by goats and cows and lush greenery. The side porch was a delight especially at sunset when we were surpised by a few dozen cows enjoying the cool of the evening twenty feet away. The house itself is a gem, a 200+ year old gem that has been carefully and tastefully brought into the modern day while preserving all of the charm of the place. My wife and I and our good friends from Baltimore (easy ride!) had a wonderful stay. The wedding was nice too!

Our family stayed here on a trip to the area for a sports tournament. The kids loved the beautiful country setting, which was only a short drive to town, as well as the sheep & goats right behind the cottage. The owners were very responsive, and this was one of the most unique, cute properties we have ever rented. We hope we can return again soon!

We loved our stay at this house. Mim was very nice and great at communicating everything we needed to know. I loved hearing and reading about the history of this old house, it made it much more special. It had lots of room for all of my family, and the beds were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on!! The soap provided was home made and smelled so nice! My only regret is that I didnt get a chance to buy some to take home!

The “summer cottage” provided us with such a wonderful opportunity to experience living in an 18th Century home, but with all the modern amenities. The kids loved the farm, and all the animals. Our hosts, Clair and Mim Miller, were so welcoming and made the experience that much better. Thank you for this opportunity and we hope to return again in the future!!

Quiet, clean and beautiful
I can’t say enough wonderful things about this home. It’s beautiful and quiet. We took our two children here for a week long family vacation. We saw Gettysburg, caves, farmers markets and went to Hershey. Every night our kids caught fireflies outside. My husband and I were so relaxed the whole week. I hope we can return next year. It was a great way to recharge.

Super comfortable, clean and well appointed. Would stay here again with my family. The king sized bed was more comfortable than my sleep number bed at home!

Perfect get away spot
The house itself was very clean, beautiful, and the perfect size for 2 teens and 3 adults. The woodwork was gorgeous with old charm. The views are beyond amazing. I could have watched the animals and fields from the porch all day. There are plenty of close by attractions of indoor and outdoor activities. Clair and Min left a very imformative welcome letter. I would highly recommend this location.

Perfect stay!
Definitely one of the top places we’ve stayed. The property is gorgeous, the place is adorable and tidy and Mim was a wonderful host. If we ever need a place to stay in the area again, we will be back. My 3 kids and 2 adults loved staying on the farm!
