Beautiful place to get out of the daily routine

Arrived and left in ten minutes. Absolute crap hole. They have a run down mildew flooded antiquated home that they con people into staying at. Charge thousands of dollars for a house in a poverty area abandoned cars in the lot next door. Save your time and money

My family and I rented Patricia's place for a Lake George getaway. Let me start with what went well. The location is very close to Lake George and the Revolution Rail Trail. The home was clean on the inside when we arrived and there were plenty of towels and bedding, and there was a very nice basket of toiletries in the bathroom. The pool was a plus. When we arrived at 4PM to check in, there was a man painting the sidewalks. This seemed like an odd thing to do when guests were arriving as we had to watch to not step in wet paint. The grill that was there was being replaced and the one brought back was used and was very small. The pool area was lacking, the two lounge chairs had straps broken, and they looked as if they had been painted? The fake palm tree in the pictures was still at the pool but was very sad looking. It needs to be thrown out. The front small burner on the stove does not work at all and the front large burner was working on and off. The downstairs was musty and there is a dehumidifier, but it needs to be turned up to keep the humidity level down. The pool table is missing a leg and is help up by bricks and is very uneven. The washer is brand new however the water needs to be turned on before use and off after otherwise it keeps trickling into the washer after it is done. This home is not bad but could use some TLC. Glenda did respond quickly to our concerns and did tell me they plan on renovating this property. Hopefully they do and update pics.

Loved this place! My friends and I came up here to celebrate my birthday at Lake George. This place accommodated everyone so comfortably. It was spacious and clean when we arrived. We did encounter an issue with the toilet the second day and reached out to the owner who responded so quickly. Someone came over that day and fixed the toilet. The place was also a short drive to town which was another plus. Definitely would stay here again on my next trip to Lake George.

Perfect for our trip nice home

Down stairs had moldy smell and moisture level was high to point linens and carpet was wet, we believe that was cause of difficulty breathing, when we arrived there was dog poop on floor that my 7 yr old grandson stepped in and internet service was so slow we couldn't use WiFi calling and was a dead spot for cell phones, we had no access to emergency services and we left at bout 3am cause my sister couldn't breathe and was traumatized cause we couldn't even access emergency services and cell phones weren't able to call 911 she is in hospital now,

Nice quiet location. Clean and as pictured. Pool and pool table were fun extras. We’ll-equipped but would benefit from a quick reorganization. Owner was very responsive. Would have appreciated a binder with house rules and local attractions and restaurants,

Our family had a great week here!! Plenty of space for the 10 of us! The pool was a HUGE bonus for the kids! We Loved it!! The people before us didn’t leave the house in great shape but the housekeeper was working so hard to clean everything up when we arrived, she was lovely!
One wish: I wish there was a vacuum cleaner! We had littles and let’s face it they leave crumbs wherever they go! It would have been so much easier to clean up! But even without that we had a wonderful week here!

Glenda was responsive to issues that arose in a timely manner. Location was great for a family with a dog. AC's were working well and the pool was great. Pictures for the property are old.

Quiet beautiful getaway!
I cant express how much we enjoyed our stay at this home! The pool was amazing, the house is so incredibly spacious and really has that cozy fun adirondack feel to it. Swimming under the stars was incredible! Its a quick drive to Lake George Village which was amazing!! The washer and dryer were a bonus, coming home with clean clothes was fantastic! There are tons of towels and toiletries provided. If you want a tan, you will definitely get one as the pool is right under the sun with no interference from trees or anything. Cell service was spotty but it really didn’t matter because relaxation was the number one priority here!! I would recommend to anyone looking for a private and comfy getaway! Thank you again, Glenda!! We look forward to our next stay!

Great place
Let me preface with, "we had no complaints". But I will have suggestions.
We had a great time. My family of 15 included 1 toddler, 3 teens, 2 school age kids and 10 adults
If you are a laid back, low maintenance family like ours, this house is optimal for your family's needs. The location was close driving distance to the lake, shopping and an outing on the railways. The inground pool provided a needed rest from outings. We grilled out several mornings and nights with the provided propane grill. This host provided enough towels and pool towels to last us all week. We used their washer and dryer several times. The pool and porch offered plenty of seating.
Now, in my "perfect world",
I would have liked mattress toppers on the beds, if you have back probems, just be aware. It may have been a longer length of time since the house was opened up from the previous renter, the downstairs had a dehumidifier that wasn't running when we arrived, there was a damp smell to the downstairs. The downstairs TV needed maneuvering in order to watch the vhs tapes that were provided, my guest wanted to suggest perhaps a dvd player or another tv that can stream shows like the one upstairs
And lastly, I hate to say, but add me to the list of wifi users when on vacation. Definitely needed a stronger wifi signal for my large bunch.
We enjoyed our stay.

Surprisingly disappointing
According to the ad, everything looked nice, (pictures were from 2012) Upon arrival the door was locked, my husband txt the manager, and she answered the next day, so we manage to get in the house! The toilet upstairs didn't flush, my husband text her and she said, she would send someone to fix it, but nobody came, the dryer was full of wet smelly towels, only two burner's working on the stove, and we need some extra blankets, it was stored in an unfinished close, all dust, smelling mold and finally we would say overall cleaning is poor, lots of dust, cobwebs, and the mirrors were pretty dirty, the only bright side in the house was the pool!
We would say the house is nice, well located, but poorly managed!

The short comings are the following: the pool table is not a seller on this property because it is unbalanced and sitting on a brick to level it out, wifi and TV cable is terrible the owner should offer a better package if the renters want to pay or should tell the renters to bring a hot spot or jet pack, there was no TV available and what made it worst 3 of our 5 days it rained so there was no TV watching, the bed sheets need an upgrade, the house was definitely not cleaned, the blankets on the couches were very dirty, once cleaned they should be put in a zippered bag, pool towels were very old, and all the rugs were trip hazards. Also the shower head in the basement is an original it could use an update the water flow is sprinkles. The po floor is very slippery.

Thank you so much for a wonderful few days not too far from Gore Mountain for skiing. The house was well cleaned and worked well for our family - two young adult children and us parents. We stayed in the upstairs bedrooms and the girls had the downstairs bedrooms, bathroom and living area to themselves.

Close Stay To Burlap and Beams
We had a large party staying for a wedding at Burlap and Beams. It was so close to the venue that we were able to walk. Parking was great for our many cars, the house was set up with many sleeping arrangements, and it had a pool table and pool for entertainment purposes. The house felt very welcoming when we arrived including a basket of bathroom utensils. I would recommend this quaint and relaxing home.

Rustic Retreat...
The amazingly spacious home is definitely "Rustic" . The decor is rustic overload. That being said, it is very spacious. The beds were comfortable with clean linens! Plenty of towels were supplied! The pool was great, but could have really used a vacuuming mid way through our stay, which we would have done if it were available.(Since I didn't say anything to Glenda, she had no idea. I'm sure she would have taken care of it if I mentioned it) Overall it was a very nice place to stay. I would recommend it.

When we got to the house and we were shocked with how many places you could sleep in the house. The house could use a little updating, but it’s a nice place to stay if you’re in and out of the house during your stay. We were provided with a lot of towels which was awesome for the pool. We had a big group of us that stayed in the house and it worked out great. We hung out on the outer deck of the house, which had a lot of seats to sit around the table. The pool was perfect temperature as well. I highly recommend staying here if you’re wanting a weekend away. The yard is very big as well. The house is better than it looks in the pictures.

this house needs some love
Pros: Lake George is beautiful, Glenda was nice, kids loved the pool, everyone liked having bonfires together at night, house is within driving distance to lots of attractions, everyone had fun playing pool (pool table could use a few new sticks though)
Cons: house smelled musty and stale, house needs lots of TLC, no keys were left for us upon arrival (which Glenda quickly took care of), refrigerator was not working because freezer needed to be defrosted upon arrival (which we did ourselves), housekeeping (wait what housekeeping, not sure why I was charged for this), there was no hot water....ever (and then we realized that if we turned the dial to cold we got hot water, lol).
Once we cleaned up the house and aired it out it was fine. Our family had a great time in LG. Hope this review helps potential renters.

Wedding weekend
Glends, the owner, could not have been more helpful! 2 days before arriving I sent an inquiry as to how many refrigerators she had. I needed one for the wedding cake. Otherwise we would have had all our food in coolers. Glenda had a fridge delivered to the porch for us! I couldn't believe it! I would definitely book with her again. Especially anyone using Burlap and Beams as a venue. The house was definitely perfect for the bridesmaids. We used the downstairs to do all the up dos. Lots of space. Pool table. Just perfect for us!

Property needs refurbishing. And actually wasn't big enough for our group with 6 small children
We had a great time, many +s about house - pool, fire pit, parking, garbage & recycle removal was fantastic, hospitality basket was very sweet, house was very clean, Echo Lake was great,
BUT hot water ran out constantly, no plug for tub in lower bath with small children made bath time challenging, kitchen too small to eat together, cooking utensils not really usable - in bad shape, no space to put our food in cabinets, not much room to move around in living room,
Would need large home for future trip which of course is my fault.

Dissapointing home stay
On the first day the heating system and microwave didn't work. The pool wasn't also not clean. Though the owner/manager Glenda tried to help us, one of the guy who came to repair was rude/sarcastic to us as if we rented the place for free and this we didn't like at all. We drove a lot and came to enjoy our stay but his behaviour was not good and this spoiled our mood also...We feel that atleast the owner should check basic things before the guest arrived. LG is a beautiful place but there are lot of bugs outside during hot and humid days so watch out especially during hiking...

Clean, Nice & Comfortable
We were a group of 15, who had a great time in this house last weekend. With lots of game supply for kids, they had lot of fun playing and the bunk beds made their bed time easy on us. Glenda was very quick in her response. I was doubtful about the WiFi based on previous review, but we had no issues with the WiFi, even with 6+ connected devices. Enjoyed grilling outside & playing pool table with friends. Whether you are inside or outside, there is plenty of furnitures to sit. The front of the house has a good space for group activities. Fencing from road makes it feel safe for kids. Overall a great property in a peaceful area, sure to make memories.
