The property was ok overall, about average in my experience. It appeared clean, amenities were as advertised, kitchen well equipped although a bit disorganized.
The pool water was clean and comfortable. Hot tub was fine
Complaints:
check-in/check-out times not in line with most properties. check-in 6 pm is NOT family friendly (it was available at 4:00, but we waited at the beach with infants). The property manager was not helpful, I asked about parking cars in the drive until we were allowed in and was basically scolded for arriving early. Not good customer relations.
Several electrical outlet receptacles were not screwed in all the way, others had loose wall plates, and some did not hold the plug in! A couple light switches were installed upside down - a minor point, but this looked like the work of an amateur electrician. This was a $10K rental, not some dive, why would the electrical be shoddy?
We are going to Sandbridge next year instead of Obx. Regardless, I will not rent from this Property Management company when we return

everyone had their own space and lots of outdoor space as well. exactly as shown on website. pool was great and all the kids had a blast. didn’t want to leave.

We had a great time staying at the Lazy J. We had a group of 15 and there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool and pool table were both a huge hit for both the kids and adults:) The location was perfect with a short walk to the beach. The place was very clean and no bugs! (Last place we stayed at in Corolla had bugs). Thank you for letting us stay at your house! Will stay here again:)

Accomodations were excellent. Pool + hot tub clean. Kitchen well stocked. Prompt phone call return when small problem occurred. A few more towels for kitchen + bath would be nice.

The house was very accommodating. The biggest issue we had was with the uncomfortable seating in the family room. The sofas and chairs were not comfortable and there was not enough seating in the main area. The bedrooms and baths were just what we needed.

Great Vacation
Loved the spaciousness and comfort of this house. Kitchen was stocked with abundance! Pool and hot tub were wonderful. Close to beach access. Perfect spot for large group vacation.

Summer Family Vacation in Corolla
Our family had a great time in Corolla at the Lazy J! To start, the check-in process was so easy & convenient especially compared to other beach house rentals. The house had everything we needed for our stay & was conveniently located to beach access with just a short walk. We loved all the balcony space & how almost every room had access out to the deck space. The kitchen & great room area was so nice & accommodating for our party of 13.

984 Corolla Drive was a great location and the neighborhood was nice. The children enjoyed bunk beds and the pool. The adults loved the house layout and privacy with a bathroom for each bedroom. The adults enjoyed playing pool the days we had rain. Overall a great visit!

Lazy week at lazy j
We had a great vacation this week at lazy j. The property was exactly as described and had everything we needed and then some. Location is great, about 10 minutes to key places (grocery restaurants beer ocean activites). Would definitely return to Coralla (well corolla, but learned proper pronunciation this week lol) and lazy j specifically!! 😊

Return to the Outer Banks
It had been 10 years since we were in the Outer Banks as a family and it was great to be back. Only negative about the house was that there were building supplies outside the house and an old door that had been torn out laying next to the pool. Not very pleasing to the eye. But overall a great house in a great location!

This house meet all of our needs! We had several families and the layout was perfect. The kids loved the pool and the gameroom. The extra fridge in the gameroom was great for storing drinks. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware, and even some basic spices. We had everything we needed to cook. Dual coffee pot was perfect! The only thing missing from the kitchen was forks. I'm sure they have just slowly disappeared. A few of us just had to use plastic at dinner. There are 2 small charcoal grills there. We brought our Blackstone and were very glad that we did. The shed was stocked with beach supplies, we had brought stuff, but probably could have got by using what was there. Some of the beds could use new mattresses or mattress pads. We could feel springs in one of the downstairs beds. The beach was a quick 5-10 minute walk. Neighborhood felt very safe. Check in was super easy. Grocery stores were just a 5-10 minute drive. We would definitely stay here again.

We did end up buying a kitchen knife to use for the week as their large kitchen knives were very dull. We also found the mattresses and pillows to be quite worn out (although clean). This was especially true on the bottom floor.
Although I realize the couches and chairs on the main floor are newer they are already quite worn and very uncomfortable. Definitely of cheap quality and haven’t held up.
Other than that the house was clean and well equipped. The pool is older but beautiful and enjoyed by us all. The paper for checkout does list putting the bicycles away, however as a previous reviewer mentioned there were no bicycles. The furniture in the bedrooms is a bit worn but very clean.

Nice But Need Updating
The short walk to the beach was great! The vents, screens and patio furniture need cleaning. The furniture is dated. The house indicated putting bikes back but no bikes provided. For the most part, the house was nice!

Also, I couldn't get the TV or overhead light to turn on in my bedroom.
On a positive note, the pool and spa were sparkling. The house was clean and there was a wonderful hammock on the middle deck. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach.

Grocery store, restaurants and shopping within 5-10 min drive depending on which direction you go. Beds very comfortable. Lots of seating in living room. Nice layout with bedrooms- allowed for kids to be on same level as parents. Too cold for pool but pool looked amazing with seating in pool. Hot tub was fantastic. No issues with internet. Perfect place for a getaway!

A great house walking distance to an amazing beach
The house was very comfortable and super well located in a quiet neighborhood just 5 minutes walking distance to the beach. We were only two couples and a child. It was the perfect space for everyone, especially because 3 of us needed to telework and our son was taking virtual school classes. The internet worked perfectly. The living room in the upper floor was amazing, with a full equipped kitchen. All room were comfortable and there were enough bathrooms for everyone. The jacuzzi worked perfectly and although the weather was a bit cold, our son and my husband had a blast in the swimming pool. We fully recommend this property to families and friends.

Check in process was super easy and property manager was extremely communicative whenever I needed help with anything! The beach was a bit of a walk away so we ended up driving a few minutes from the house and found a nice parking lot close to the beach!! I also ended up leaving a personal item behind and they were quick to send it back! I definitely recommend staying here.
