This rental was perfect for our meet up with some special friends. Kitchen was fairly well stocked with utensils and cooking equipment. We brought our own BBQ because we are fussy about clean grills, but there is one on the large deck. The seating area in the living room was very comfortable (different from pictures). One thing that is not pictured on the listing is the bathrooms. The main suite bathroom has a beautiful shower and deep jet tub it was very lovely, and the upstairs shower has a river rock floor-equally nice. The weather was a bit chilly while we stayed and there lake was quite high so we were unable to access the dock without getting wet. The parking is a bit tight, we had two pick ups, and had to be creative with parking as to not inconvenience the neighbor. (Who are very nice people with lots of knowledge about the area.) The host was very easy to communicate with and responded quickly to answer any question. He even took the time to give us fishing information, walking paths, and things to do in the area.The view was absolutely spectacular to sit on the deck and have your morning coffee or a late evening cocktail.We definitely would recommend staying at this listing, we just wish it wasn't so far for us to get there. This is an incredibly well-appointed home right on Kooteney Lake, and it was the perfect place for our peaceful getaway with our dog. The kitchen amenities are amazing and some serious cooking gets done there! This has been one of our best VRBO finds ever. Ted and Heather were easy to deal with for the booking and check in process, and I highly recommend their property for a stay in the Kooteneys!

The view is amazing!There is a need to get the spiders under control. At one time there were seven on the bedroom ceiling Fan grease tray on top of the stove hasn’t been wiped out for some time.

The house is lovely, main floor is spacious open concept and master bedroom is wonderful. Upstairs bedroom has 2 double beds, and is like a lift, no closet, could not open window to air out the space as window lever was broken. Be sure to pack your computer for movie night, as there is no TV. Enquire if there is an Advisory to boil water, if so pack lots of bottled water. Was surprised there was no garbage pick-up and finding the transfer station was time consuming and costly. Found mouse droppings, in kitchen so bring food storage containers to keep food safe.
