We had an incredible stay. Joan is very welcoming and helpful. A wonderful, warm soul. The home is perfect for just a couple of people. In a very quiet neighborhood. Just steps from a beautiful, quiet beach. Perfect for a relaxing getaway but not too far from all the restaurants and shops at St. Pete Beach.

Very nice and quiet. Quaint 1923 built building with great furnishings, up to date kitchen. Joan and Tim were very hospitable. Joan was outstanding and personable.

Property is situated in a upscale neighborhood. Everything is close by or you can use the Freebee electric car service for free. The sand, water, shells and host were amazing! Friendly people everywhere. Loved every minute and hated to leave!

Joan was delightful to communicate with before, during and after our abbreviated stay. We arrived late afternoon the Saturday prior to Hurricane Ian's arrival on Tuesday/Wednesday later that week. Joan was wonderful about offering to partially refund our stay if we chose to leave due to the hurricane. My husband and I were initially not really phased by the news, but by Sunday night we decided to return home since it looked like the storm was headed directly towards Tampa. We communicated this to Joan and she put the wheels in motion for our refund. We had it in our account by Monday.
As for the accommodations, the unit is darling with its eclectic mix of charming lamps, furniture and artwork. The artwork is super cool and colorful! The bed is comfy, as is the furniture. The unit gets lots of great light and is very spacious. The kitchen has plenty of space, both counters and cabinets. The bathroom has a super deep tub, which sadly, I did not get to partake in a bubble bath. Overall, a very chill, comfy vibe with a lovely landlord who wants to ensure a nice stay. Too bad we ran into a hurricane.
Oh, and the walk to the beach made me feel as though we had our own private little slice of paradise. The sunsets never disappoint on Pass A Grille.

I absolutely love this place. My sweet hubs and I were on our 10yr anniversary trip, and I somehow got him to go to the beach again lol. He’s a mountain loving fella, but I convinced him to come here because this whole area is amazing. The beach is perfect. I also personally love historical homes and this place has all the character, from the pocket doors, to the hardwood floors and the antique furnishings… I never want to stay in a cookie cutter hotel ever again. This house made my old soul happy. Then there’s the location- everything is within walking distance (or a short drive if it’s raining)… of course I only wanted to be in the quiet part of town where all the history is, but the busy tourist-y part of St Pete is right up the road if that’s your thing. Excellent eateries in the old part of PAG. Great boutiques as well. The best part is of course the beach, which is right out back, you wander through a cool tree tunnel, through the dunes and BAM- one of the most beautiful stretches of white sand and the gulf I’ve seen, second only to a remote spot I found, that I won’t discuss. You’ll have to find it yourself lol.
This is the perfect spot for lazy sunset strolls and sunny afternoon shelling, and getting to see the gigantic pink landmark, aka The Don Cesar- up close. We happened to be staying at the Butler House at the end of the busy season so we basically had the beach to ourselves most of the day, which is what I want in a vacation. Last but not definitely not least, Joan. She is a wonderful host, such a sweet lady, and was always nearby if needed. She welcomed us like we were old friends, and told us all the great places to eat. Because food is life haha. Anyway, I had a wonderful time there and can’t wait to go back. This will forever be my home away from home. Thank you Joan.

We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was also close enough where we walked to the restaurants. Pass a grille also has a free bus service you can use so you won’t have to pay to park or if you didn’t want to walk. Joan was wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. It was the perfect, quaint spot to enjoy the week and be right next to the beach. Bonus was we had an area of the beach all to ourselves. Joan, our host, was amazing and very accommodating. We’d definitely book it again and highly recommend.

Affordable paradise
Joan was such an incredible hostess. She was easy to communicate with and did everything to make our stay enjoyable.
The photos do not do the property or area justice. The location to the beach is fabulous! The beds were comfortable and clean. The area was easy to maneuver and Joan was so great to provide assistance finding places to shop or eat.

We really enjoyed our vacation at the historic Butler House. Joan greeted us as soon as we arrived, and gave us a tour of the condo. She explained how to operate everything from the shower controls to the lock on the storm door. The Butler House is over one hundred years old, and has lots of vintage charm, as well as beautiful furniture and antique lamps.
The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is very comfortable, but the very best thing about the condo is its location. It’s a short walk through an arch of plumeria and sea grapes to the soft, white sand of Pass-A-Grille’s beach. The Gulf water was a pleasant 76 degrees, and we practically had the beach to ourselves. We also enjoyed sitting on the porch and eating breakfast or just relaxing and watching the world jog by.
Joan treated us like old friends and was always available to answer questions or offer suggestions on nearby restaurants or fun activities. We had a wonderful vacation at the Butler House and hope to return in the future.
