It was even more beautiful than described!
The early mornings on the Lake was something I've only seen in movies! It truly is breath takingly beautiful! The whole family each had a comfortable sleeping area and plenty of restrooms to use!
Surrounding areas had so much to do for whole family (Zip lining, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, golfing, to name a few) It was perfect for us all to come together and celebrate our 40th anniversary! Highly recommend! Thank you for sharing your place!

This was our fifth year staying at Dancing Waters Lodge, and we are already making our plans for next year. It is the perfect place for our family of all ages. We love being on the lake and being close to hiking trails. The kitchen is great for cooking, but there are restaraunts nearby so you don't have to. We had a glitch in our plans right before we were to arrive, but the property manager and owners worked with us so that we could have our vacation as planned.

This home is located on Bald Lake. The home has been updated and includes all the amenities we were looking for. The owners thoughtfully provided kayaks, a couple of paddle boards and a canoe. We could have fished off the dock and caught all the bluegill and bass we wanted.
I especially liked the back deck. Part of the deck is screened in (to keep any bugs out) and part of it is open. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside and staring at the lake.
I especially appreciated the management company. When we suggested that the pillows might need to be provided, they were they in a matter of hours to replace the old with new pillows. I also appreciated all their advice in pre-trip planning when they suggested things to do and places to see.
Great place with great views. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again!

I rented this home for a long weekend stay during my sons wedding and was extremely happy with the home and all that it had to provide. As with most areas in Lake Lure, the wifi was spotty but tolerable to work with. Better than not having any at all! Couldn't use the canoe, paddle boards or kayaks due to them be literally covered by red ants, which was a disappointment, but we still had plenty to do with our other activities. Very quiet, beautiful location.

The electric goes out every time it rains. Uncomfortable beds/pillows, parking is not convenient. The house is over-represented and does not have items listed in the description. Trees block view of the lake from each deck. Torn screen lets bugs in.

When looking for a property we wanted a place big enough for each of kids to have their own room so a friend can come. Space was large. Kids enjoyed having lower area downstairs to themselves. There were plenty of amenities. The lake is nice and quiet. The screened in porch was my favorite place to relax. Sue was wonderful with communication and answered all questions and concerns quickly. Would definitely stay here or work with these property managers again.

There were 9 of us. Seven adults & 2 children. We were celebrating a 70th and a 15th birthdays Didn’t catch any fish but we made some memories. It is a good place to unwind/unplug. We wish we had known resort restaurants were closed on Monday & Tuesdays. Our stay was Sunday - Thursday. Going 5 miles takes 20 minutes 😉😊 No complaints.

Our family has a long weekend get-away to Dancing Waters in the Rumbling Bald Resort every November. It never disappoints and is a cherished tradition for our family. We have three grandchildren ranging in age from 1 to 7 and they love it too. My husband and I (along with 3 kids) and his parents, and brother and family (2 kids) enjoyed a long weekend at Lake Lure. We had great fun kayaking and canoeing as well as fishing off the dock and from the canoe. The property gave us plenty of space for the 3 families without feeling like we were on top of each other. The facilities were good - although rain and the short trip prevented us from trying all of it. The hosts were great very communicative before, throughout the stay, and when we checked out. Highly recommend.

There were 8 of us - 2 families of 4 and I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Beautiful home, even better than advertised. Property managers were helpful and attentive (small issue with ice maker not working). We had such a wonderful time swimming, floating around in the lake and….relaxing!! Would definitely consider returning.

This is a great house with amazing views of the lake overlooking the mountains. Being on the lake with access to the kayaks and canoes is a big bonus. I loved sitting on the porch and just staring at the amazing views. The house is updated and everything is in working order. There are 5 bedrooms which accomodated my large extended family. Rental of the house gets you access to the Rumbling Bald amenities of the lazy river and pool. Sue was very responsive and made us feel at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to come back soon.

Our family has been to Rumbling Bald Resort for the last 5 years. This was our second year to stay at Dancing Waters. We have fallen in love with this place and all it has to offer our family. The house is large and beautiful with a well stocked kitchen. There were plenty of beds for everyone and lots of space to read or just relax. The lake is just steps away with kayaks and canoes for the grandkids to play with. The floating dock was especially fun to fish from or just jump in the lake. Sue has been such a blessing to us. She is always available to answer questions and get anything we need. We have already booked this place again for next year and look forward to another amazing stay.

We had 19 family members gathered at Lake Lure using 2 Buffalo Junction properties. We gathered at Dancing Waters lodge daily for meals. Everyone enjoyed the lake. The families with their combined eleven children ranging in age from 3 to 16 spent most of the day at, in, or on the lake at Rumbling Bald. The canoes, kayaks, and floating dock were in constant use. We also spent some time using the facilities at Lake Lure beach. We had a wonderful time and the facilities were perfect for our family. This was our second time to rent here and we hope to be back next summer.

The house is just as pictured from accommodations and additional amenities. Location offers easy access to a few restaurants, 2 separate lakes and 2 golf courses. Love that this house is situated on a lake that does not allow motorized vehicles.

First of all, thumbs up to Buffalo Junction Properties. Steve and Sue are informative, attentive and friendly people. They represented the home as spacious and comfortable, which it was. No surprises and plenty of amenities.

We loved our long weekend stay at Dancing Waters Lodge and highly recommend it for others. Communication with the property managers was efficient, responsive, accommodating, and easy. We received detailed directions and instructions for an easy check-in. The home is beautifully situated overlooking the lake with plenty of outdoor seating and space. The kitchen was well equipped with more than we needed for our stay. Each of the bedrooms (we used 4) were comfortable and clean. The entire home was very clean, comfortable and just as expected from the pictures online. The location was perfect for what we wanted - a place to write, meditate, discuss and get away from the business of daily life. We hiked nearby and enjoyed the lake. Overall we were very happy with our stay and hope to come again.

Great stay
This is one of those rare times when the house is even better than the listing. Pictures don't do this property justice. It's beautiful and spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay!

This was overall a nice rental. Two bedrooms up, three down. Up is the main level. The “Master” is up and is not truly a Master as the laundry is also in this bathroom. Not that big of a deal. The grill is old, and NOT the nice red one pictured. It’s rusty and flames up quite heavily. Good enough for hot dogs and burgers, but that’s about it. Master bedroom mattress is worn and needs replacing. The kitchen is nicely laid out and includes a built in mini-fridge in addition to the full size fridge. This was great for drinks. There is only one very small trash can in the kitchen. Very Small. There is no animal proof area outside to put trash (animals I’m sure would be a problem) so you’ll be making at least daily trash runs. Kind of an inconvenience. TV’s are pretty small, but internet and Wi-Fi were OK. No worries. If you need a big house this will work, but it really needs to updating and some care put into the details.
