We decided to take a trip to Banner Elk on short notice to visit family. Came across this listing and noticed it was owner direct and not a rental company. I always prefer this. Property was great! Owner was the best host we have worked with. Great communication and price of the unit was a great value. Will definitely stay with them on our next trip up!! All furniture was nice and updated. Plenty of towels and linens. The condo was very well stocked on supplies and toiletries.

Great value for the money! My three teenage boys and I had a great time. The check-in was seamless, and the staff was polite. Even though parking was down the hill, we never had to wait for the shuttle going to or coming from the car. There are two grocery stores when you get down the mountain- between the condo and the entrance to Sugar Mountain Resort - super convenient. Denise was very responsive and sent a ton of helpful information. Will stay here again.

We had a great trip to Banner Elk made much better by our stay at Sugar top. The views of the mountains and the slopes and the pool for the kids were perfect. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room to eat, sleep, and relax! Will def consider staying there again on our next trip to BE. Thank you!!

I enjoyed my two week stay in the condo. Most memorable were the great view over the ski area, the comfortable beds and furnishings, the building amenities like fitness room and pool, and great communication from the owner. Ski access was easiest on weekend when the shuttle to the visitor parking lot was running. Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo at sugar top. The views are spectacular! I love that we had enough sleeping for our whole family and comfortable beds. Denise is so friendly and quick to respond! I have never rented from someone so kind. My kids love the pool and hot tub in the afternoons after a long day of skiing. The shuttles make it easy to get up and down the mountain and they are quick to pick you up. We did learn that they only run after 4:30 on Fridays. Not a huge deal, just an FYI.. Overall, I do recommend a condo and this unit.

We absolutely loved Denise’s condo. It was very spacious for our family of 3. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook with. We loved having a washer and dryer in our unit. It was also nice having 2 bathrooms. The location had amazing views of sugar mountain ski resort and surrounding area. We enjoyed the buildings pool and hot tubs. Denise was an extremely knowledgeable host, she provided information and kept us updated with 4 wheel drive/chain requirements due to the winter storm. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property has fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and was within walking distance to the ski-slopes. There is also a shuttle for those that need it. The sunsets were amazing. The living room was cozy and we enjoyed the wood fireplace in the evenings. Beds were very comfortable. Denise was very communicative and shared lots of useful information. Price was very good value.

Pent my 48th birthday at this lovely condo! Views were breathtaking, the place was super clean. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and very helpful. Also it should be noted a lot of vrbo rentals have the bare minimum for kitchen supplies. I traveled with two chefs and this place had every utensil we could hope for. Looking forward to bringing my wife here!!!

We had a great weekend at Sugar Top in this cute unit! When we arrived my son walked in and said “Mom! There is a Christmas tree!” It was such a sweet touch! I could tell the moment we walked in that the unit was clean and tastefully decorated. If you enjoy everything covered in bears and buffalo plaid this is not your place 😂 We woke up to people skiing Sugar Mountain which was fun to watch! The night view of the twinkling lights on the mountain side was lovely. It was just the right size for our group of 6. Everyone felt comfortable, no one felt like we were on top of each other. The kitchen had what we needed, we cooked a few meals and there was ample dining room seating. The shuttle from the parking lot to the resort was efficient and friendly. We never had to wait long for them to pick us up in the morning or the evening. Pool was a great place for our kiddo to burn some energy and was open late which is nice. Denise was quick to answer questions as we finished packing and sent us info before our check in with all the important info! It is close enough to Banner Elk and just a short drive to Boone and Blowing Rock which we also enjoyed exploring. We had fun the last evening at the Banner Elk Cafe. Good music and food! We enjoyed our stay at Sugar Top!

This condo is lovely, spacious, and clean. The beds have soft memory foam mattresses for a very comfortable sleep. It has beautiful views from the 8th floor onto Sugar Mountain ski slopes. Located close to the elevator, it is a short walk to it. The resort has a pool, hot tubs, a gym, a steam room, and a sauna. There are luggage carts and shopping carts to bring everything upstairs. We went in early November and could park at the top. We woke up to ice and snow and were happy to find the main road down the mountain salted. The owner made sure to share a ton of information beforehand and to check on us after we checked in. Overall extremely satisfied with this condo.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the resort, and Denise was a stellar host. She communicated clearly and checked in to insure our needs were met. The rental is cozy and in good condition, and the views are incredible! We'll definitely be back to stay at Sugar Mountain!

The host texted me quickly when I first booked letting me know important details and inquiring about our group. She sent an email with lots of info and area suggestions. Check in was pretty easy. When we arrived, we first stopped at the security building to get our parking passes. We were allowed to drive up to the condo to unload, but then had to drive down to leave our car and take a shuttle back and forth. Once at the condo, check in was very easy. The unit was very nice, clean and comfortable. I was happy to share this listing link with my friends and family on social media. The view from the 8th floor was perfect. There is lots of wildlife right there! That was awesome. The beds and linens were perfect. Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. Check out instructions are simple and easy to follow. The host checked back in with us at check out and was very nice. My only complaint is that I had to go home and couldn’t stay longer! It was perfect.

We will definitely go back! The condo was very clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything we needed. People at the resort was very friendly but the owners of the condo are fabulous!!!! They are very easy to get in touch with and thoughtful. The views are amazing. We definitely give it a 5 star!!!

We had a fantastic stay! I can't say enough wonderful things about the owner. Communicated with us at every turn, and offered recommendations when I texted her during our stay! We were originally planned to visit in April, but it SNOWED! She helped us reschedule for a summer day with no snow, and it was so easy! We enjoyed the pool on site and the view is SPECTACULAR! I wish I could have stayed on the balcony all night! Overall an amazing stay, I highly recommend!

We love our stay at the Sugar Top Resort! The location was perfect for everything we had planned to do. The condo was very clean and modern, and has the most incredible view from the 8th floor! Our host, Denise, went above and beyond to make sure our stay was everything we wanted, and it was. Responds very quickly to messages, which was very much appreciated. We would definitely stay there again!

We just returned from our 4th stay here in less than 2 years. It's a perfect condo for our family of five. All 3 kids get their own bed and we're not even pulling the sofa sleeper out. We eat most meals in the condo (or on a hiking trail) with food from a great nearby grocery store. A great value in the mountains. Owners go above & beyond to ensure a great stay.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days to refresh and reconnect. The location is so convenient to the Blue Ridge Parkway and many hiking trails that lead to amazing views. It's also convenient to Grandfather Mountain Winery, (bring a picnic and enjoy live music on the weekends), Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Boone. But the views right out your window overlooking the ski trails and valley beyond are spectacular. Eating breakfast on the balcony while watching the clouds swish by in front of you is a rare experience. We enjoyed a dip in the pool, the hot tub, and steam room each night. The pool is on the small side for as many people as the building houses....but it wasn't crowded when we were there. Denise is a wonderful host...we had a glitch checking in and she smoothed things out right away. It was a wonderful stay and we hope to be back.

We really love being so high in the mountains, feeling and hearing the power of the wind and being inside a cloud, plus the view was amazing! There was tons to do in the area or our family, and we loved mountain biking and hiking and swimming in waterfalls. It was a great adventure, and the condo was wonderful. The pool and hot tubs were also much appreciated by our family. Highly recommend!
