The location of Dory #E could not have been better. Having the dunes just outside the balcony was more than perfect! And very close to restaurants and stores so didn't have to drive far for whatever we needed. We could see that good changes are being made to the condo. The new paint was obvious and gave it a fresh feel. The beds were VERY comfortable and the rooms each had individual style. The upgrades, like the screened in porch, will add space and lots of charm. It seemed a bit small, though, for sleeping 10 people. We had 6 adults so seemed tight. Family with young kids, though, it would be great. The kitchen was not super....it was Thanksgiving so we did A LOT of cooking. But it definitely would be a location we would go back to. Location. Location. Location. Couldn't have been better. Thank you!!

There was no light in the sunroom which made it difficult to sit out there in the evening. The thermostat was confusing to figure out and the furnace wouldn’t turn on when it was very cold at night. There’s a lot of stairs at the condo so it may not be good for anyone who has arthritis or pain.

We absolutely loved this condo. It’s in a great location with awesome beach access. The unit was spacious and very clean. On the day of our arrival after driving for 8 hours and having 2 dogs we were ready to relax. The door code that we were sent by Southern Vacation Rentals was incorrect. I understand things happen. So we called the number we were given, no answer. We called the 24 hour number we were given, no answer. We texted the texting number we were given, no answer. We drove to the location of the office, no answer. Luckily the people in the condo beside us said hello and asked us if we were having trouble. Long story short they lived there and knew the owners of our condo. So the neighbor called the owner and she gave him her code for us to use. By the time we got into the condo we had been outside trying to contact someone at southern vacation rentals for over 2 hours. Thank goodness for the amazing neighbors. Once inside we got ready and went to dinner. 4.5 hours later I got a text back from southern vacation rentals that said “we are sorry for the inconvenience are you sure you entered the code correctly?” You have no idea how irritated I was with southern vacation. However this is a management issue, not a owner/condo issue. The condo and owner were amazing!!! So I just say if you stay here you’ll definitely love the condo. Beware of Southern Vacation Rentals and their glacial pace at responding.

The stay was great. Awesome for me and my family. The stairs were fun get your exercise in. Place was clean and tidy. We did brought some of our own trash bags, soap, hair blower dryer, dish soap as advise. The stay exceeded our expectations. Walking distance right off to the beach and not crowded. Excellent communication. We did have hiccups with the main door entrance where the lock would unlock but the door frame was the issue (wouldn’t let us in). Quick response and resolution. Thank you for a pleasant stay. We would stay again.

Reported but not fixed. Air conditioning was not working properly & maintenance came and fixed. Dryer didn’t work, knob was stripped. Great location and overall nice place to stay. Southern Vacation was hard to contact for issues. Be mindful of beach goers from condos across the street - they take over Dory beach access, so setup early.

We had an awesome family vacation here! Right on the beach , comfortable, and clean! The toaster was broken, and when I told them, they were there that day to replace it!

The property is right next door to the Lost Keys community pool and property, so it’s more crowded than it used to be but still manageable. And it closes around 6 pm, so no nightly noise issue. The condo is perfect for a family, but be aware there are stairs to deal with. The location is perfect for us, but we aren’t into the restaurants and shopping - it’s a bit of a drive to Orange Beach, Pensacola, or Gulf Shores If you want a quiet, relaxing beach trip, this is the perfect place.

I contacted SVR to let them know the screen had several holes, exterior door knob to the beach is missing, water valve handle is broken so we used the neighbors. The top of the stairs have carpet nails sticking out so don’t walk barefoot inside. The inside has a lot of dust hanging in the kitchen above the counters. The pots are old and the Teflon comes off into your food while cooking. The cabinets were filthy, especially the trash can area. The top of the fridge had a coat of dust on it. There was black mold on the sliding glass doors especially in the master bedroom. The balconies could use some pressure washing to remove the black mold and green algae especially Compared to the other units there. Otherwise, the beds are comfortable, WiFi is decent. We enjoyed our stay . If cleaned properly we would come back.

My grandchildren said this was the best place we have ever stayed. Beach not super crowded, condo clean and spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the two balconies overlooking the gulf. Will come again next year!
