I booked cottage 3 basically because of the size of the bed, and the size of the cottage. Two days prior to our arrival, we were notified to see if we would be willing to go to cottage 2, which is closer to the beach and there would not be an additional fee. Without asking questions I agreed. Upon arrival, the cottage was very clean, but very much smaller than anticipated. Also the beds were 1 full and 2 twins, when we were expecting a king. We were somewhat disappointed in our decision. Don’t get me wrong, the cottage was charming in it’s own way, just not what we expected. Next time I will ask more questions before agreeing to a location change.

This was a lovely cottage along a quiet stretch of beach on Longboat Key. It was everything we could have asked for!

this property with a vintage feel was exactly what I was looking for for our stay in Florida! accessing the beach without having to cross a road, not having to worry about my kids breaking fancy things, having the whole unit to ourselves and not worrying about noise bothering shared wall units, it was wonderful to me! the cottages were just adorable and exactly my style. now, if you are looking for excitement and busy people watching, shops within walking distance, etc., this is not the property for you. it was quiet and we rarely saw anyone on the beach. this property is surrounded by fancy private homes, so it seems a bit out of place. the teens might have been a bit bored and disappointed by our lack of proximity to other teens. but this portion of the vacation was for me, darn it!

The beach is fabulous at this property. Cottage #4 was just as described: charming, simple, and comfortable. It had everything we needed, except for maybe a sheet pan to cook pizzas on. There were a few spots in the cottage that needed repair/paint, but the privacy of the beach, the tall trees, and cool, comfortable cottage more than made up for that. We would happily come back.

We loved our stay at Longboat Key! The cottages are old, but sweet and comfy. They are the perfect amount of space since most of your time is spent at the ocean. Which, the ocean access could not be any better. Honestly, the ocean access is the best we’ve experienced. If you’re looking to truly escape - no commercialism, no tourist traps, no distractions, this is the place for you. We will be back!

Great location very private. Family had a great time. First time using VRBO everything went as planned. Property was amazing! Wonderful sunsets. Beach was terrific! If looking for a private beach and cottage like environment, this place is a must. Already booking our next trip here.

A quiet quaint cottage near the beach. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great from the reservation process to check out. The property was exactly as listed. It was loaded with all the amenities. Just steps away from the amazing beach. We had a wonderful time and would most definitely rent again!!

We had a great family vacation! Dog friendly! Ample space and private beach area. Easy access to the beach. The cottage was everything we needed and expected. Claire was awesome and check in/ check out was simple. We definitely plan to go again.

what an amazing stay! We could not have been happier with our stay. This property is well maintain and the peaceful and remote location allowed you to hear the ocean from your cottage and make you feel like you have an entire beach to yourself. Claire was SO amazing! Extremely prompt and accommodating. The units are clean and comfy. Units are dated but we enjoy the old time beach feel so it was right up our alley. We cant wait to come back in the very near future! -Happy ladies!

Had a great family time staying at this property on our first trip to FL. Quiet place, with the beach a few steps away. Thankfully we had great weather as well so we got to enjoy our time here to the fullest. Highly recommend this place to families who want to build great memories together.

We had a perfect little getaway. My husband and I traveled with our 15 year old son and his buddy, there was plenty of room for all four of us. The location was great... close to a grocery store, a gym, and a bait shop.

This was a very quiet, private property on Long Duck Key! We are over 65 and spent a week there on our honeymoon. We used the beach daily and on 5 out of 7 days were the only ones on its. I would highly recommend this property and owner to anyone wanting a quiet peaceful place to stay.

This little cottage exceeded our expectations! It’s an older cottage but it was spotless! There are four little cottages at this location so I would call to find out which one you are booking. It’s so private and quaint you walk through these beautiful tropical trees right out to a private beach that you were only sharing with the other houses there! The property manager was so responsive to anything we needed or any questions we had. We go to longboat key every year and after finding this place we will never stay anywhere else! We are already planning our return for next year:)

Lovely location and cottage!

Upon first glance, the cabin could definitely use some work. There's a large crack in the ceiling, duct tape on some of the windows, doors that don't close properly, etc. There was no extras like a t.v. in the bedroom, dish soap for the kitchen sink (thankfully there's a Publix nearby). It definitely took some getting used to that first night.BUT...after spending a few days there, I can honestly say I didn't see one roach, nor any type of infestation. I can tell the place, while old, is well loved and cared for. The housekeeping did a fabulous job, not one piece of evidence of the prior guests. The a/c blew nice and cold. The location is by far the prettiest, most serene spot that I've had the pleasure of staying at on Longboat. You walk right out to a secluded, large stretch of beach that is breathtaking.I am also thankful to find a place in March, our high season, that did not completely break the bank account.Extra bells and whistles: no. Clean and ultimately comfortable for a small family: absolutely:)

Had a wonderful time on the beach. Quiet rustic cabin on the beach. Spotty cell and internet service. If your looking for a getaway without all the touristy hype this is it. Clair was an awesome host and Christina welcomed us in to a clean home. Thank you

Simply beautiful beach cottage, we loved it!

Our cottage was located in an area away from the noise and crowds, yet close enough to get to all the dining and shopping areas. Check in and out was extremely easy and Claire was more than helpful with our reservation.We loved the proximity to the beach, only a short walk away. It was clean and well supplied, with a laundry area on the property if needed.We also enjoyed being able to have our dog with us, even though dogs are not allowed on the beach.Overall, it was a great "first" time visit to Longboat Key. The weather, unfortunately, could have been better....the only negative. :-(
