This is simply one of the best places, if not the best place we had stayed at. Everything was perfect!!!! Definitely would love to return to in the future.

My family used this rental while staying in Connecticut for my brother’s wedding in Hartford. We travelled a long distance and wanted something with enough space for my 3 young children to run around during our stay. The moose lodge was perfect. It’s a beautiful farm property located centrally to everything we needed. The animals were charming and my children absolutely loved them. They also loved helping Bobbie and Anne take care of them in the morning. The house was spacious and charming equipped with everything a young family needs (highchair, pack n play, booster seat, kiddie utensils) there is also a “playroom” dedicated to kids toys, games and wonder. The house was clean and well stocked with linens, kitchenware, coffee and even FARM FRESH EGGS. We loved our stay here and if needed to be in Hartford again, would not hesitate to return to this property.

What a beautiful, cozy, luxurious home! Bobby and Anne were so welcoming and even left fresh eggs in the fridge for breakfast! I haven’t slept so peacefully in months. Thanks again for hosting and we highly recommend this lovely place!

Had a great time at Moose Lodge for a family gathering

The layout of the home was perfect for a family - plenty of room. It had such good energy and warmth overall. Beautiful surrounding area with plenty of food options. Very quiet and peaceful.

We had such a peaceful retreat at Moose Lodge. Bobbie and Anne were easy to reach before we checked in, and we got to meet them during a morning winter hike up the ridge. There, they gave us an great overview of the history of the area. Great people. We are from Laguna Beach California, and were visiting family. and we got the full New England experience. The house is awesome - many rooms and cool nooks to relax. The Kitchen has everything you would need to cook and entertain. We made a fire every night, and chilled out in the "playroom". playing cards and games. They even left us a bottle of wine to kick things off. Our kids (though a bit older) loved the animals. Our son had a broken leg, and loved just sitting with the Chickens and Sheep. A delightful weekend in the country! We will be back!

Pastures surrounded by woodsy ridges in a peaceful and private setting, yet minutes from town and conveniences. Haven for nature lovers; grazing sheep, lovely pigs and egg-producing chickens. Detailed-to-perfection house with fireplace, screen porch, comfy furniture, nooks & crannies to curl up with a book yet plenty of room. The consummate hosts, available at your request but not hovering, delightful conversationalists with recommendations depending on your interests. In short, it felt like visiting a favorite relative's home.

We had a lovely stay! Bobby and Anne were incredible hosts. They left everything we could need in the kitchen, including fresh eggs. They were so kind and caring with our kids and let them feed the animals with them every morning. The house is so homey and clean. We couldn’t recommend more! We were so grateful to stay and hope to return!

We’ve rented dozens of houses over the years: this was our favorite! Loved the two lounges, the breakfast and dining rooms, the three bathrooms. The hosts are warm, helpful and hospitable. We loved Gertrude the pig, her offspring and the sheep and chickens. It provides a great base for hiking, adventure sports and cultural attractions. Good restaurants, too!

Communication with owners was excellent. The house is very roomy and comfortable. We also slept well. My favorite room is the "Playroom". Lots of cozy spots to sit in, and a cabinet full of family games for our use. We loved seeing the sheep and pigs everyday, as well as the: chipmunks, bunnies, and hummingbirds that frequent the property. We had three kids with us 12, 10, and 10. They were able to feed the animals hay, and visit with a chicken. There was a lot of rain, but otherwise we would have been able to help with eggs and such. Kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely be returning.

This is an amazing property! Thoughtful touches at check-in and everything you need for kids of your traveling with family. Loved seeing the animals. We had great weather but even if you don’t, you won’t be bored! Lots of games for kids and adults alike.

This is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable properties we have ever stayed at. The hosts were very good communicators and had so many nice touches throughout the home for guests. We felst so comfortable in the peaceful setting and really enjoyed the ewes. rams sow and the 7 baby piglets! Definately will plan to stay again on our next visit!

The home was clean and well maintained. Some nice amenities upon arrival which were very tasty (farm fresh eggs among them!) . Short drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Beds comfortable. The owners were responsive and a pleasure to meet. My granddaughter enjoyed the sheep/rams, chickens and the cutest piglets- so did the adults. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!

This house was amazing and just what we needed! Bobbie was a great host and my kids loved the kids room and toys and of course being able to see the farm animals right outside the house. I hope we can come back again at some point!

We have kids around 3-4. The owners brought a baby lamb to the house each morning to play with the kids. The house is fully stocked with toys, linens, and pantry items. Moose Lodge was a wonderful experience for the entire family.

The area was so pretty and Farmington is a great town with lots to do, but we could barely peel ourselves away from the magical farm and property. We cannot wait to make this an annual getaway!

Our stay at Moose Lodge was amazing. The house is a lovely home in a magnificent, historic area of Connecticut. Spotlessly clean and wonderfully comfortable, we had everything we needed right there for our first trip with our kids and granddaughters since the nightmare of 2020. The grounds were perfect for two small kids to play and run and explore. Bobbie and Anne couldn't have been nicer. We looked forward to seeing them each morning when they fed the animals. They even brought along a tiny lamb for us to meet. Everything about this trip made us happy!
