This was built in 1990 and NOTHING has been done since. Zero maintenance. Duct tape on floor where refrigerator had leaked, 2 colors of duct tape so obviously no repair for a while. Not even a decent couch, 2 loveseats so you couldn't even stretch out and they were stiff and uncomfortable. Kitchen was poorly stocked, no cookie sheet, maybe 5 drinking glasses. Spare bedding stacked oddly in closets and kitchen not organized at all. Did I mention vertical blinds? (1990) and blinds in bedrooms were cheap and translucent. Yes, the bathrooms all need updated but I could look past that if they were maintained and cleaned. All of that being said, the location was great and oceanfront is amazing. But even the deck has a stack of weird glass lighting stuffed in the corner- just throw them away! Weeds, no landscape maintenance. Birds had even made a nest in a canned light on the overhang. Location on ocean is wonderful but just some basic maintenance is needed, doesn't need to be the latest style just maintain.

So disappointed, came all the way bro Maui for this.

You can't beat the view and location of the Coastal Soul property. It was wonderful to watch the sun set over the water every night and wake up to dolphins playing in the mornings. It's a short walk down to both Stonesteps and Beacons beaches, as well as to the many fantastic bars and restaurants on the 101. Easy to check in, find the house, and park, with easy communication through the Stubbs agency. The house itself takes a little getting used to - the fixtures and features are a bit of a hodgepodge, the water gets very hot, and there's significant train noise in the bedrooms on the street side of the house, but all that is totally worth it based on view and location. So happy with the memories made during our stay.

I don't want to give this place 1 star. And the property management company is actually very communicative and responsive. The location is unbeatable and the view is great. The wifi is adequate enough (~50Mbps) on the ocean side of the house. Beds are good and sheets are good.But there is lots of mold in the house, especially at the fridge which is extra gross. Other travelers have mentioned this and it is still not resolved. The carpets are dirty and old and the kind that need to be replaced. I believe the property management cleaned it, but it needs a DEEP clean, after EVERY visitor.Lots of things broken in the house that are highly irritating*MOLD in kitchen bathroom and bedrooms*master bedroom screen door broken*all screen doors have big holes*blinds dont work well and are missing many pieces*sharp carpet staple/nail right at entrance of bedroom, cut my foot twice until i remembered to step around it*leather bench is broken*1 outside patio lounge chair is broken*other outside patio chairs are flimsy*kitchen equipment and appliances are all really bad/old/grossOverall, its incredibly disappointing. I would let a lot of things most of the above things slide given that it is a great location and view--they just need to put in a little more effort instead of trying to cut so many cornersBut the mold.....that stuff is toxic.

The view was absolutely everything I’d hoped it would be. You could hear the waves in the house. So easy to sit on the deck & enjoy watching surfers & dolphins & beautiful sunsets. But you could go down a few blocks & access the sand beach.

There was a few things that could be fixed. A few of the chairs inside and out were broken. Broken cabinet doors that kept falling off. Dryer didn’t work very well. But all in all we had a good trip. If I recommended the place to a friend I would let them know these issues.

Great spot on the ocean in Leucadia. Great attention from Stubbs Rental with very smooth check in and out. They were very attentive.

Property was exactly as shown. We spent most of our time on the deck. The view was absolutely beautiful! Only negatives….windows were covered with bird poop(they did have someone come clean them 4 days after we got there), garbage cans were full, tv didn’t work(they replaced it the 2nd day we were there).

The management company is rock solid and we will absolutely be doing business with/booking a home with them again (Thanks Tyler)! The only issues with the property cleanliness wise was the carpets, they need a good professional cleaning and the blinds need to be replaced (they have some mold, which is not a surprise given this house is literally above ie ocean) in the guest bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. Otherwise we’re were very happy with the rental, and plan to come back in the future!

The property is definitely dated and needs some work by the view makes up for any shortcomings.
