Easy walking distance to centre

Back Terrace was not always open

We were given two large rooms, one for a single adult traveling with us, and another for my wife and myself. These were adjacent, and had a nice view of the old town of Coimbra across the river. The rooms had been recently modernized, and were nice. We were able to park in a free street parking space adjacent to our hotel for the duration of our stay. JR Studios is within an easy walking distance of the lower old town, and a pleasant walk up to the university area. There is a nice breakfast spot just down the street from this hotel, and many dining choices across the river.

The elevator is quite slow, but the walk up was not difficult. We had some difficulty with the building entrance keypad, but once we reread the directions everything was fine.

As we were arriving by car, we enjoyed how easy it was to get to - no restricted access streets to worry about - and how there was inexpensive public parking right next door. The unit itself was perfect for us. Comfortable bed, squeaky clean, nice bathroom and they even provided Nespresso pods for coffee!! The value cannot be beat. And the staff was very attentive. While we never needed any assistance, they checked in with us several times to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Was a fantastic experience!

We arrived at rush hour and should have studied the map more thoroughly before we got into it!! It can get quite busy in that area.

Sehr wenig Platz, kleine Betten, sehr ringhörig. Für eine Nacht ok. Personal scheint eher gelangweilt. Bad ebenfalls sehr klein und kaum Wasserdruck.
