The house was very nice and comfortable and sitting on the deck to enjoy the lake was great.

We enjoyed our time at this cabin/boathouse. Liza was extremely communicative and helpful! The place was just as described and fit our needs and wants very well. Long Lake is absolutely beautiful and we particularly enjoyed renting a pontoon boat from Long Lake Marina for a couple of days so we could completely explore the lake! Again, we were so thankful for Liza’s replies to our texts as needed.

Nice property, great views of the lake photos were alittle misleadingly for the stone steps thought there might have been five steps turned out there are 45 steps and difficult to carry the coolers down. But once your in the cabin it is very nice, nicely stocked kitchen and enough room for all

We had a very enjoyable week at this quintessential ADK lakefront cabin. The location was great - nestled in the woods and right on the water, yet within minutes of downtown Long Lake. Our family enjoyed having two ways to enter the water from the property - wading in from the sandy beach and being able to jump in from the deep water dock. Highly recommended!

We had a terrific stay on Long lake at the Boathouse. We loved the front porch and beach where we could spend all day watching the loons and boats go bye. The Boathouse is an extremely peaceful place and a perfect spot to unwind. We hope to be back again next summer!

Had a great time staying at this lake house. We loved the beautiful views of the lake from inside the house and on the deck. We also loved that the beach was just steps off the deck. We rented a boat for the week and was able to dock it there. The house was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The host was very gracious. Would definitely go back.

All that and more
The accommodations were stellar....my wife and I have been hoping to find “the” place to meet our ideal specifications but, because we were only dreaming of what the perfect scenario might look like; we never thought we’d actually find it.
THIS PLACE WAS THAT AND MORE.
We will be talking about our stay and the time and the memories of it for many years to come.
The owner(s) are extremely cordial and responsive. We loved the home/location and all it offered. I only wish time we had there didn’t pass so quickly.

Long Lake house was Amazing
Beautiful camp right on the water. It felt homey right away. The kids loved it. We didn't spend as much time as we wanted actually at the Long Lake House because we were there for the Classic Adirondack 90-mile race. Perfect location for that though. We needed to stay for one more week to fully have enjoyed it. Rooms were a nice size and plenty of space in the living area. Plenty of dishes, cups and pans in the kitchen to cook and have large meals at home! The large wrap around porch and boat dock was a favorite location for us. We would definitely stay again if they will have us!

Lovely Adirondack Getaway
We look forward to our stay at the Boathouse all year. The location is terrific and provides a lovely Adirondack experience for families. We enjoyed the views of beautiful Long Lake from the porch, beach, and dock. Lots of fishing, paddling, and swimming made the days full and fun. There is also so much to do nearby (ADK Museum, The Wild Center, numerous hikes, etc.) Liza and Don are wonderful hosts. They are very communicative and helpful. We absolutely love staying at the Boathouse and hope to return again!

Lovely boat house
This was a return visit for my family and the boathouse was as comfortable as ever. We were able to use our telescope for some nights of excellent star gazing from the porch and the sandy beach below, along with the busy days of kayaking, swimming, hiking and fishing. The owners are very accessible and they have made sure you can relax and enjoy this beautiful lake!

A week was not enough
We loved everything about our stay at the Boathouse. The big multi-purpose room downstairs was great for cooking and dining together and evening conversations. There was enough space for everyone on the rainy day when everyone stayed in. The house sits right at the water's edge, so you don't even need to get on the water to feel the lake's calming effect, but it was also super easy to go for a swim or a paddle. Checking out by 10 a.m. was a challenge, because the cleaning and trash runs took more time than expected, but also because of the lake's magnetic pull. We hope to be back again next year!

We had a great time with family for the second year in a row with all the amenities needed for a rustic beachfront vacation despite unpredictable weather. Dock, beach, and deck provide outdoor spaces for all interests. Love the rainy day games available and Wifi! The views from nearly every window are just what we needed to escape amidst a stressful year. We nearly forgot there was a pandemic for a week and it was perfect.

My family and I had an excellent week at the Boathouse. The kids loved the private sandy beach. You really can’t beat the view from the front deck . We took advantage of the canoe and kayak that were provided to explore the beautiful lake.

Lovely Long Lake Camp
We had a wonderful stay this past week at the Long Lake Camp. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare and cook meals. Private sandy beach is a dream for the kids, swimming, fishing, and exploring. The dock is a lovely place to relax and take in the view with a cup of coffee in the morning or a cocktail in the afternoon. Bedrooms are spacious and living area is excellent to hang out it in. Kayak and canoe were fun too! Great trip! We hope to visit again!

Absolutely beautiful lake house.
This house was as good if not better than advertised. The house is very spacious with all amenities included. Have stayed in many cabins in the Adirondacks over the years and this by far was the best. Launched boats from state launch and fished all week. 5 star rating

Fall family vacation
Property is beautifully set on Long Lake and the beach, dock, porch, canoe and kayak were as advertised. It was very comfortable for 8 adult family members, and we enjoyed the fire pit one night on the beach. Kitchen was fully stocked with all kinds of pots, pans, utensils dishes, etc. Liza was very accessible and a great time was had by all. As others have mentioned, the steps down to the house are a bit steep, but not a problem for us.

Relaxing place
If you want to go away from the city, wake up in the morning seeing amazing lake; bbq and fishing later then this is the place to go!
The house is very clean and it shouldn’t be a hassle for one to sweep and vacuum when checking out. (Since the owner doesn’t charge cleaning fee). Please , future guests, don’t spoil this place!!!
Highly recommend it

Better than advertised - exceptional value!
Every Autumn my wife and I spend a week or so in the Adirondacks. This year Long Lake once again came up in the lake rotation (i.e Saranacs, Blue, Raquette, Placid, etc.). We are so glad it did, we can not recommend Liza and Don's camp enough. Their boathouse maintains a rustic Adirondack charm with the modern conveniences of a restored camp. Privacy is assured as it sits at the very end of a wooded drive. Our biggest concern renting a lakefront boathouse was that it may smell like....a boat. Rest assured it does not - the home was clean and well kept/maintained. Liza sent an email on our night of arrival to ensure everything was as described and that we had settled in. Having rented at other locations in the past where we had issues, and were not able to contact the owner, this was a nice touch. Communication before, during and after was excellent. The owner's provided excellent activity suggestions for those not familiar with the area. For those inevitable, "rainy days in camp" your are close to two excellent, award winning museums: The Wild Center in Tupper and Adirondack Experience in Blue. Of course the camp itself is stocked with games, books, and a DVD player. Summing up I'd like to say we've spent much more on rental homes in the Adk's. but this spot is our new favorite. We'll definitely be back!

View, deck, comfortable beds, theme decorations, kitchen and dock 5 stars.
As a group of 8 adults we were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. But the view from the deck is terrific. As we read in earlier reviews the walk down to cabin and back up to parking lot was hardest when unpacking and then repacking to go home. But the stone steps are from nature and would be a shame to replace with something man made. The owners did tell us there wasn't room to park the boat trailers after we unloaded our boats at the public launch, which by the way was was very nice and easy to use. Because you cannot let your trailers sit at the launch parking lot overnight, a member of our party made a phone call to the municipality of Long Lake and was told we could park them at a city owned lot. We did without trouble. The owners were quick to answer any concerns we had, and checked with us to see if we were comfortable. Appreciated all.

Lovely stay at Long Lake with the family!
This is a cozy lake front home. It is a peaceful and beautiful location. It is a special place and you can tell the owners love their home. There wasn't a need that wasn't met. They offer a canoe and kayak as well as a fire-pit for their beach area. There is also a dock for the kids to jump into the lake. There are also a good number of games on hand and a nice sound system to play music. That being said, it is a little work in that you have to bring your own linens and firewood. We had a couple of nights where it got very cold so we had a fire in the wood stove to heat the place. It was cozy but we went through a good amount of wood. Thankfully they have some on hand to help supplement what you bring. (this is not as big a deal if you don't have to worry about heating the house and are just having fires outside)
Overall, our family had a wonderful time and loved the boathouse!! What a find!
