very very very clean and neat

The place is really cute with a fenced in back yard (perfect for dogs) a nice grill and fire pit. The location is great too. The internet fast enough for streaming and working. The kitchen is large with a lot of counter space. We had 4 folks and a 2 year old and the space was fine. It the cape so of course there’s an outdoor shower too (less useful in a rainy October but looks awesome for the warming times). The neighbor is cute and easy to get around.

Adorable & clean house in a great location. Had more features than we expected. Was very easy to communicate with our hostess, Maryellen when we needed to. Exceeded our expectations & without a doubt rent this property again.

Nice house and location. Carpet and couches could be cleaner. Screen door to deck is broken and needs replacement, Homeowner Maryellen was a pleasure and very helpful.

We loved this house for our vacation. Comfortably fit our 4 kids and 2 dogs. The backyard is fenced in which is a great bonus! Neighbors were also friendly!

Very nice house and a great,quite neighborhood

Just got back from our stay, I have to say I’m very surprised there aren’t more comments about the state of the yard. The grass wasn’t mowed, which the owner messaged us to say was because of recent rain. However, the yard in general was not very well maintained. Leaves and debris everywhere, several “surprises” left from previous dogs that had stayed there, the fire pit was rusty and full of water. We didn’t use the furniture outside but it looked rather dirty. The yard itself is very tiny but the biggest issue we had was the fence had a massive hole in it. The only reason we booked this property was because the listing states there’s a fenced in yard for our dog however that was not the case. In fact, the owner messaged us to let us know the fence was being repaired the day we checked out. I wish she would have warned us of the hole ahead of time. On top of all this, the neighbors next door have three HUGE dogs that barked and growled every time we attempted to go outside. My point in all of this is, do not book this property if you’re looking to spend time in the yard, you’ll be sadly disappointed. As others pointed out, the inside is a bit dated. When we arrived there was a very strong odor of pet urine. The mattresses are very soft so if that’s not something you’re a fan of, look elsewhere. The couches were old and stained, my family complained that they smelled. There was also an ant problem. There was a full ant trap on the kitchen counter when we arrived. On the bright side the refrigerator, microwave and stove were clean. Unfortunately I attempted to clean the toilet but the toilet brush was filthy/soiled and made me gag. I guess I learned my lesson, you get what you pay for with these rentals.

When booking this trip I saw many posting about the cleanliness of the home, as well as the out dated cutlery/plates in the kitchen. All I can say is that though this home may be out dated in some ways, this home is very comfortable for a getaway and fair for the price! The shower is super nice and got hot right away which was a nice touch. The fenced in yard is incredible when you have a dog. My fiancé, dog, and myself were able to enjoy the Cape in our price range because of this home and cannot thank the host this enough. Maryellen was a wonderful host. She is very fair and gets back to you right away. All I can say is we will be back and thank you Maryellen!!

The layout of living room was uncomfortable & bathroom tiny. Plus the doorhandle was broken. The only thing spotless was the fridge (didn't use the oven so didn't notice).

This is my second time staying at Maryellen’s house and it was great! We had a fantastic girls weekend. The home was cozy and had everything we needed. We also loved the location of the house. We plan to be back again next year!

Favorite activities included breakfast at Apt Café in Brewster, Cape Cod Museum of Art, and any of the bayside beaches. Do note that the dining room decor features shelves lined with dozens of empty wine and liquor bottles. Although that wasn’t our doing, it felt awkward when friends came for lunch one day.

The kitchen had plenty of plates, utensils and cookware. The washer/dryer worked well. The beds and pillows were all comfortable. My only suggestion for future renters is to bring small nightlights to plug in if you have kids who don't like to get up to go to the bathroom in the dark.

Property was as described, it was a good location and perfect for the 3 adults and one dog that were on this trip. The house was pretty clean, and since it's pet-friendly I suppose it's not odd that it also smelled a little musty and like dog hair when we arrived. Granted, the weather was super cold so we could not open windows to let it air out. The kitchen could use some updated utensils and dishes. The cabinets and closets were messy and it seemed like they needed some cleaning out. We did bring our own sheets and towels (which was clearly stated in the listing) though pillows and blankets were provided. Overall it was just fine for our needs, very pet-friendly, and a great location.
