The property was exactly what we expected. Plenty of room for the six of us. We’ll stock kitchen, and large eating area. Too short of a stay, unable to take advantage of the hot tub. Great Mountain View’s. Would definitely stay if ever in the area again.

We stayed a week (May 31, 2026-June 6, 2026) and had a wonderful time. The location is a bit of drive from some of the bigger attractions we wanted to see (Lake Louise, Banff gondola...) but we wouldn't have changed a thing. It was nice being away from the crowds. The first couple of days we felt like we had the whole Kicking Horse Resort to ourselves.I was a little worried because the drive from the VRBO to Golden was longer than expected but that added to our adventure, searching for wildlife on our trips to town. Note, the resort itself didn't open until the end of our stay but we knew it was 'shoulder season' so it was what we expected. I highly recommend the Golden Skybridge Adventure Park (it opened June 1st and is very close).Unfortunately, the Kicking Horse gondola was not open at all during our stay so we weren't able to visit the Eagle Eye restaurant but we did take the chair lifts to the Grizzly Bear Refuge and we saw Boo! The VRBO was perfect for our group of 10 adults. My wife and I drew the short straw and stayed in the bunk bed room but it work better than expected. Check in was easy and using all the amenities (fireplace, hot tub, kitchen, WIFI) was a breeze. The VRBO host was wonderful and VERY responsive. I probably drove him a little crazy but he responded to every message I sent, always the same day. Honestly, the first message I sent was at least 3 months out, and he responded within 1 hour.I highly recommend this rental.

This place was awesome and great hosts to work with.

Probably a nice place for a skiing vacation, but the furniture , bedlinen, dishes etc. showed quite a bit of wear and tear. The stairs to the property are inconvenient and hazardous. It could all use a bit of an upgrade.
