We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this rental. It was so well stocked with all the essentials. We loved watching the sunset over the ocean from the deck while sitting around the fire pit. A perfect setting with the ocean a stone’s throw away and a short walk to great restaurants and stores. We hope to be back next year. Thank you Dennis for being a great host.

Dennis's apartment was perfect for our family vacation. We spent a lot of time on the huge deck watching sunsets and grilling. The property is in a great location close to restaurants, a fantastic beach right across the road and much needed air-conditioning that kept us cool during the recent heatwave. We would love to come back one day.

This condo had A fully stocked kitchen and even supplied the coffee. Also all the extras you need for the beach-chairs, umbrellas, etc. The deck was perfect for dining and watching the sunset every night, not to mention proximity to beach near lifeguard station. Host left easy to follow instructions regarding check in and leaving.

We love staying here. Dennis is the consummate host. He’s made some great improvements. All the amenities that one needs are available. The deck is the absolute best any time of day. Being greeted with a bottle of wine is a touch of class. We will be back.

We had such a wonderful time and this excellent location. The property is clean and all the kitchenware, appliances, pots/pans, etc. are in excellent/new condition. The private deck is HUGE! We definitely would love to return and highly recommend this spot! Thank you so much, Dennis

This home-away-from home has been Very nicely updated! It looks even better than it did before, and we loved how it looked before! We especially appreciated the new pots n pans and Keurig as we stayed for 2 weeks and cooked at home most meals. We just bring our clothes, a few games to play, several books and buy food after we get there. You' ll find beach chairs, a boogie board in the garage below - I saw a surfboard down there as well. The unit is fully stocked, and has cable TV with most any channel you'd want. You can be on the boardwalk that oversees the ocean in less than 5 minutes. I drank many a cup of coffee at that boardwalk rail. Did I mention the deck? Best part of the stay! We parked The lounge chairs by the see-through wall and spent hours reading and looking at the ocean and passerbys. I was unable to give more than 5 stars!!! The owner, Dennis is very attentive, and will help ensure your stay is Great!

We have been coming to Carlsbad area for past 15 years. This is one of the best decorated and best stocked rentals we have stayed at.

This place was so perfect for our week stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking essentials which is helpful if you don't want to go out to lunch/ dinner every night! The patio... omg it's amazing. The unit was equipped with baby gate and beach items for the kids. We will be back to stay here!

We’ve been here before. Dennis has kept the place well and has wonderful touches. The new floors were fantastic. The patio and view are amazing. We love that we can cook and relax and walk to everything we need in the village. Thank you, Dennis, for this wonderful week.

this was our second year with a10 day October visit. We have kids and grandkids in Carlsbad and the big deck here is a magnet for them all--especially with Covid. The Tiki bar is a big hit with 5 and 9 year old granddaughters. Fire pit a big hit with us all. Some of the furnishings are getting a little tired, but the location and the very large deck make this place a winner for us.

We have stayed in and around the Carlsbad/Oceanside area several times over the last 4 years (have children in the Marines) and this property’s location and DECK are by far, our favorite. As usual, the home was exceptionally well kept, fully furnished w sleeping for 6, all kinds of pots n pans, dishes, silverware, barbeque accessories - just a very comfortable place to stay for your family n friends! We brought a lil coffee, eggs n meats n canned goods for eating in... Had a Great time, sooo sorry to leave this am!

Overall the place is dated and worn. The AC does not work and we were there in the heat of summer. The deck should be sprayed down. you drag in the dirt when you go in and out. The deck is the best thing about the place. There were toys for the beach in the garage. The bar down the street is loud but close in case you like that.

Host was easy to work with

It rained for most of our stay but that didn’t stop us from visiting all the stores and restaurants that were near. We were able to get to the beach on the last day! The only problem we had was the AC was a loud sometimes but worked great.

We were in town with two children and this place offered us everything we were looking for. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. It is conveniently located, next to the beach, which made the walk there with two children quite easy. The price for the unit was right and we would definitely rent from Dennis again. He was a responsive host and thoughtfully left a bottle of wine for us on arrival.

We loved our 165 Walnut Ave. in Carlsbad, CA stay over the holidays. It was such a treat being by the beach, close to town and the rail station. The deck is amazing and gave us magnificent sunsets every day! It was everything I had hoped for and more. Nice and homey, comfortable beds. Highly recommend this property.

We have family is Carlsbad and this condo with it's hugh deck proved to be a great place to hang out and watch the sunset, eat meals, enjoy the fire pit in the dark and walk into town for other meals. Dennis was a gracious host. We will be back for another 10 day visit.
