I did not want to leave! The waves crashing right under the balcony, watching the sunrise and sunset plus nature was perfect. The home was comfortable. I thought the floors could have been cleaned better when I arrived but then realized the doors have gaps so some of the debris comes in. The lcoation was perfect to walk around town, to the pier, eateries, and of course the beach. Even when the tide is up you just go a short ways to the other side of the pier and have access to the beach.

Cottage-feel in the rental was perfect for me. I was looking for peaceful place to stay while my husband was in the hospital after major surgery. The cupboards and kitchen are old but serviceable--I'm sure that if the apartment was "updated" it would have to be much more expensive to rent. Angel, one of the property-keepers, was warm and welcoming. I hope I'm able to come again to enjoy a stay on the beach.

Often times pictures oversell what you’re getting with a condo, that is not the case for this condo. From the moment you walk in, the ocean view and sound of the waves crashing beneath the deck was just incredible. The unit is so assessable to great places in and around Malibu. The bed was super comfortable. You may not have a view of the water in the bedroom but you 100% can hear and sometimes feel the waves crashing on the beach. There are a lot of awesome restaurants but don’t snooze on the Pizza place across the street, D’amores, it was ridiculously good. Brunch at Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga was excellent and it’s a beautiful drive 20 minutes from the condo.
This place is great. Angel was a great host/property manager.

What a great place to stay in Malibu! Location is perfect and the accommodations were perfect for our needs; parking, a fully equipped kitchen, a deck directly above the waves, an endless view of the Pacific and a very comfortable bed. The instructions to get into the property were perfectly outlined in the “here are your keys” and helpful Angel was on property if you need any assistance. The Malibu Pier is a short walk away, as is NOBU for a nice dinner. We chose to go to Costco and Whole Foods for wine, snacks and our dinners to bring back to the cottage. We will definately return to stay at this charming beachfront home.

I was in Malibu to record an audio book. Two team members met with me at this rental. Amazingly, given the excitement and focus this work required, both of these guys said meeting at my rental, not the studio, was the highlight of the trip.

There is no air conditioning although it was ok most of the time. The property is dated and could use some renovating. Garage is nice but not large enough to fit anything much larger than a sedan. Angel was a very nice and helpful person on site but the property management was a struggle to get information about check in and received nothing about check out. Very convenient to the pier and walkable to other locations.

Me and my best friend stayed at the oceanfront cottage on Carbon Beach for 3 nights. The apartment was right on top of the ocean that you could access right down the stairs at low tide, but not for very long nor to lounge on sandy beach. That kind of beach is a few minutes of a walk down the street. Sitting on the balcony to watch the waves, sunset and sealife was so nice, but the patio furniture cushions that were there were all wet due to the high tide, so had to ask Angel to bring up a couple of plastic chairs to make it more pleasant. Once he did that, all was good. The bed was comfortable, but the pull out couch was not, even though its fine to sit on, its not comfortable to sleep in and the mattress
& springs need to be replaced. Plenty of towels and kitchen necessities were provided and also beach chairs. If staying on Malibu beach is on your bucket list, although pricey, this is the place.

I loved our stay at this location. I have stayed at many VRBOs on the California coast and this is my favorite by far. The proximity to the ocean, hearing the waves crash on the sand, smelling the sea. We loved it and will be back again!

Some of it was natural “beach” wear and tear (sticky doors, wavy floors, etc.) Master bed was comfortable but the pull out couch was truly terrible. We really only used this place to sleep and wake up in (as we had family in a bigger property in Malibu) so for that it suited our needs fine. If we were using the space more (to cook, hang out in, etc.) I would have been very disappointed. The proximity to the beach, view, and the ocean waves crashing was amazing. That was the redeeming quality. I wouldn’t book this place again but staying that close to the ocean was magical so if that’s on your bucket list this is probably a more affordable option in Malibu.

If you are looking for a Hollywood high end condo on the water this is not it. And it’s not priced like those high end places. This is a basic apartment that’s been around a while. It’s priced competitively versus any hotel in the area and you get more space and ocean walks.

My husband and I stayed here for just two nights.. The place was as described, the views were better than expected. We spent most of those days and nights on the beach and on the balcony. During low tides we walked the very long, wide and sandy beach and during high tides we watched a seal sunning itself on a rock and watched the waves. Our sunsets and sunrises were beautiful. There was shopping nearby for groceries and we walked to nearby restaurants, all which were delicious. Great location! We only wish we could have stayed longer.
